Bubble Tea review #99! I've written a lot more but those businesses fall under other categories (cafes, coffee & tea, desserts, etc). The first time I had boba was in elementary school. I think it was from here actually, or maybe it was Lollicup. Anyways, I didn't love it at all and was super grossed out by the texture. So growing up, this was just a smoothie shop to me. I didn't ever order it again and I didn't feel the need to add any of those choking hazards to my drinks. Fast forward several years... preferences change, immature minds develop, and perspectives broaden. Now it's an unhealthy addiction that I have to moderate! Reflecting back, I now understand why I didn't like it then. Because the quality here is not good! This used to be Boba Time, which is different from It's Boba Time. Besides drinks, they also sell shaved ice, crepes, taiyaki, and other savory snacks. There's an extra surcharge for using your credit card. Thai Milk Tea tasted artificial and my mom felt it was too sweet even with the lower sugar adjustments. The Cookies & Cream shake was blended pretty well, but subtle on the cookie flavor. The boba I got reminded me of the past: slimy, tasteless balls of starch. Fond childhood memories here but the power of nostalgia is not enough to warrant another visit. read more

I recently visited boba with the expectation of enjoying a refreshing and delightful smoothie experience. Unfortunately, my visit was anything but enjoyable due to the horrible service I encountered. I placed an order for a coconut frappe. I was able to take my order with no problem, however when tried the drink it had a strong taste of coffee. I have a stomach issue that prevents me from having caffeine, therefore when I tasted it I mentioned it and I asked to switched the drink since I didn't order anything with coffee. The lady at the front told me she had to check with her boss (the business owner) she said in order for me to get another drink I would have to pay for it. I asked to speak with the business owner and she was extremely rude telling me all the Frappe drinks have coffee, which is not true. My girlfriend got a strawberry frappe and it had no coffee in it. At the end she ended up telling me there was nothing with what I order as she slammed the drink in the counter. I would have understood if what I ordered was wrong but nowhere in their menu says the frappe drinks contain caffeine. She blamed me for having this drink as she said I should have asked if I it had coffee. This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever received. If I could give it a 0 I would. I would not recommend boba beast and suggest finding an alternative location where customers are valued and treated with respect. read more

Tiffany (owner) checked in with us and asked how we enjoyed our drinks. We loved it! The drinks have been consistent and the workers are super nice and attentive. I called in to place an order but they said that they didn't accept phone orders and that I had to make an online order. So I placed the online order and when I got there I had to wait 30 minutes because they didn't receive a ticket. So I checked on my bank account and it was already charged but they told me to wait longer so I waited for almost one hour for a drink!!!!! The interior was clean and lively with other customers enjoying drinks. I was excited to see the variety of their menu from the teas, macaroons, desserts, and crepes! I tried Taro slush with Crystal boba and Jasmine green tea with passion fruit popping boba. Both were fantastic. I appreciate the taro milk slush was made with NO Milk! It was non dairy , which made my tummy happy. The jasmine iced green tea was not too sweet, I asked for 25% sweetener since it comes unsweetened. I loved it and yes, I ordered two. I absolutely love boba and I've lived around the corner from the place for a couple years now and finally decided to give it a try and I am so mad that I didn't come sooner. It's a nice little shop, probably only enough seating for 4-6 people comfortably. There are even a couple of games for those who are staying. Tried Boba Beast for the first time today and was really impressed. The gentlemen who helped us was very friendly and helpful. My son had 2 macarons, lemon and chocolate, and he loved them both. We also tried the raspberry cheesecake and it was really good. I had a strawberry mango smoothie and it was delicious. I thought it was cool that they had a couple table games for kids. I worked at this boba shop, and I feel the need to share my experience for anyone considering working here. Honestly, I couldn't stay any longer because of how toxic the environment was. The boss was incredibly disrespectful to the staff. She would make racist and degrading comments towards us, constantly talking down to employees about their looks, work ethic, and even personal lives. It was shocking how she belittled everyone, not just in private but in front of other employees and customers. She would openly gossip about staff members to others, calling them names or complaining about how they looked or worked. It felt like she had no regard for any of us as people. On top of that, she was constantly yelling and giving rude, harsh commands. It was like walking on eggshells every day because you never knew when you'd be snapped at or humiliated in front of others. I stayed as long as I did because I needed the job, but I ultimately couldn't handle the toxic, degrading atmosphere any longer. No one should have to work in an environment like that. I hope things change, but I wouldn't recommend working here unless you want to deal with constant negativity and disrespect. When I quit this job she told me I owed her money because of an Apple juice that I bought from the shop. She accused me of stealing this for months when I showed her my Apple wallet and that I obviously had purchased it. I went to go pick up my check and she made a scene in front of customers saying I owed her money and she took my check away and refused to give it back until I paid the money I owed her. Once she took the check back she ended up deducting the money HERSELF from my check. Please don't support this business. She constantly is rude towards her employees, takes days to give them their checks, not only the toxic environment but the drinks are overpriced and not even that good and not to mention how unsanitary this place is. I have had to clean dead bugs from the cooler out front and she reuses many things such as sample cups, straws, and the boba cups. She would also yell at us for making samples to give out to customers. Mind you these samples would be out for hours and she would still yell at us to give them out. Since I'm obsessed with finding new Boba spots, Boba Beast was next on my list to check out. When I pulled into the shared parking lot, I quickly found a spot. When we entered, there was no greeting, and we waited for about 5 mins until someone took our order. I'll let this slide because it looked like they were short-staffed with several orders ahead of me. I ordered a total of 3 drinks; a large mango smoothie with mango popping boba, a large Thai tea with boba, and another Thai Tea with boba in their specialty light bulb glass cup. Seating is available both inside and out. While waiting inside, I noticed some board games to be played. Even though they didn't have a lot of options, this is a great idea to have available for people. When we finally got our drinks, I was excited to take my first sip in this really cool glass lightbulb cup. But unfortunately, the Thai tea was super watered down. I think it was because it looked like they were trying to crush the ice to fit into the cup, and so when they did that, I felt like the ice was already melting super quickly. So when they poured the tea inside, it just made the drink super super watery and was yuck! Also, they really need to get special straws for this specific cup because the straws they had were not long enough for the cup, so I could not get any Boba from the bottom because the straw was so short. So what's the point, right!? The other two drinks were delicious! I took a sip of the other Thai tea in the regular cup, and it was super tasty. Next time I won't be bougie, and I won't get the light bulb cup because it will not be good. I suggest going with the basic cup, and it'll taste a lot better! read more
