The drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. Their milk tea has the right amount of sweetness and their slushes are of a nice consistency; many other places make theirs very watery. Although they have a wide selection of drinks, my favorite is the lychee slush. I get it almost every time I come! I also love to order waffles or shaved ice, both of which are really good. Boba Loca is a great spot to hang out too, since they close late and have free wi-fi. I find myself going there to study all the time. They have both tables for those who need them and couches for people who just want to sit and watch TV. The guy with spiky hair who wears big t-shirts is really chill too! This review is mainly for their customer service. Customer service is a NO GO! Horrible customer service. We came here a few times and the cashier didn't even want to look us in the eye when we were ordering. When we gave her the cash she literally grabbed it and slammed the cash register shut. I couldn't help but laugh when she did that because her attitude is hilarious. How hard is it to make boba and fake a smile without making your customers feel uncomfortable?! Like really?! Let's start with the drinks: The drinks are mediocre, nothing special about them. I got the boba iced coffee, which tasted more boba milk tea than coffee. Depending on your preference you may or may not like this drink. Vibe: A lot of people actually come here to study so they do provide many tables and 4 couches. There are picnic benches, round tables, small round tables, and etc. It seems like more high schoolers come to study so if you're not down for loud chit chat I would not recommend studying here. Well I guess you can't blame them since this is a boba cafe, not a library. Workers: The workers are extremely unprofessional. I'm not the one to really care about the workers but dang at least pay attention to me while I order. The staff are constantly talking really loud and curse at one another frequently. Every time I come here, I always have a problem with her, but I keep coming back because it's the closest location to home. I'm always reminded to never ever come back and after the last incident, it'll be my last. I am hoping that they will change ownership or at least get rid of the lady, so I can frequent this place often. Just recently, I ordered boba milk tea and she gave me coffee instead. I told her that this is coffee, and she gives me an attitude. I gave her an attitude back. I felt really bad afterwards, but she was really pushing my buttons. She doesn't admit it was her fault that she used the coffee dispenser instead of the milk tea one. Problems I've had with her: - Talks to me in informal korean. Dude, I'm in my 30s, and you talk to me like I'm a little kid. I am a customer, you know. - One time I walked in, waited for 10 mins to order. She was just hanging out in the back and didn't dare to come out. I got impatient and walked out. - I ordered and wanted to use my debit card. She denied my payment and said there needs to be a minimum. Well, the other kids have always charged my card... - She charged one of the kids in front of me wrong. The vibe in this place: I always feel like that one moment in your family reunion where everyone starts yelling about how long they haven't seen each other in 3 years and so forth and then, you're just there. 7/10 The food: never had it. 10/10 The workers: There is this one guy that has a buzzcut, wears black. My unparalleled go-to study spot. Free wi-fi, lots of seating that range from comfortable couches to relax and lounge around to various tables that are great for studying. The drink menu is just like any typical boba place, nothing too special. Nonetheless, the drink quality is pretty consistent, and the employees are pretty helpful if you have any questions. I was working hard on a paper when no not once or twice, but the owner disturbed me just to urge me to buy a drink THREE times. Not to mention their boba is super inconsistent. I like this place! It's a very simple shop, but it has a "pleasant" environment. I came here today for the red bean shaved ice (don't get the large, even if you're sharing.. we only ate like half of it), which was pretty good. +1 extra star for a regular boba place with free wifi AND plenty of seats/tables to accomodate everyone! The boba is normal, and another plus is that boba is already included into the price! So no surprise $0.50 extra charges on your receipt. :) They have ample space for students who want to study, with large tables and comfortable chairs, but they also have a couch area for those who want to socialize while drinking their boba. Smart way to appeal to all ages of their customers who love boba! Their wifi actually works and is a strong signal, which is a great plus, since I know of many other boba places that "offer" free wifi but you can't seem to find the signal anywhere inside their place. This review is for the temperature in the store!!! Mr friends and I went for a shaved ice tonight. It was a hot summer night, and the a/c was turned OFF. We asked the employees to turn the a/c on for us, but they told us that the owner does not allow the a/c on in the evening time. what the @#$%!!! We demanded to speak to the manager/owner, but she was not in sight. And conveniently the owner only stays at the shop during the day when the a/c is ON! This review is only for the shaved ice. My family always gets the large fruit and red bean shaved ice. This delectable bowl of goodness is chock full of everything you could ever imagine on shaved ice - red bean, vanilla ice cream, kiwi, watermelon, banana, green apple jelly (my favorite!), and a whole bunch of other goodies. They know that you're probably not going to eat straight from the communal bowl, so they offer you a ladle and some smaller bowls. When you're done with the bowls, take them back up to the register, and you're done! The ambiance is a little strange. Some days it's quiet, some days it's loud. The workers are apathetic and the place as a whole is slightly sticky as if not cleaned very well or often, but for shaved ice, this is the place to go. read more

My review will strictly be on what I ordered: Milk Tea w/ boba - Decent. Their milk tea is much sweeter than what I'm used to. Unfortunately their boba had absolutely no flavor to it and was mushy rather than chewy with a slight give. I'm assuming that's because I went closer to closing time so I probably just got whatever was sitting in the boba pot. Everyone has their own preference for boba. I personally like Boba Loca's texture and consistency. I've gone during different times of the day, and it's always on point. They also don't skimp on how much you get per cup, a definite plus. And their prices are a little better than average, I would say. So far I've sampled the taro milk tea, almond milk tea, thai tea, regular milk tea, strawberry slush, and mango slush. All pretty good, maybe a little on the sweet side for the mango, but that's ok. They really work their butts of to try to get drinks out as quickly as possible. However, when they're really busy (a good sign), you may have to wait a bit. There are plenty of tables to lounge at while doing so. My only qualm with this place is that it gets rather warm inside, otherwise it's decent. read more
