Got their lychee strawberry kiss with added red bean and white peach oolong iced tea, and both were pretty tasty. Didn't like how floral the oolong was, but I should have inquired. The other drink was really good together with the red bean. Definitely would come back for that.

One of my PTO mom friends told me about Boba Square and she was right -- they are so easy to work with and really care about making drinks that their customers will like. I reached out to the owner to place an order of 50 drinks for our science team and they were so thoughtful about recommending low caffeine drinks appropriate for a group of tweens. The kids absolutely loved the drinks and asked me to re-order them for our next science competition in Irvine.

Boba Square is one of my favorite spots for fruit tea, and it's a place I consistently come back to when I'm in the area. I tend to rotate between a handful of drinks, but they're always reliable and well-balanced, which says a lot. The lines are usually reasonable, though the shop itself is pretty small, so I usually just order my drinks to go. Prices are fair for the quality, especially considering how generous they are with fillings. A lot of their drinks come fully loaded, so I never feel the need to add extra toppings. The Peachy Berry is a great example--it comes with strawberry bursting pieces and grass jelly, which add great texture and make the drink feel more complete and satisfying. Overall, it's a solid spot for fruit tea with consistent quality and good portions.

I tried the black sugar milk tea and it was good but I don't know if I want to spend $6-7 on one drink. The place is small so not too many people can hang out inside. Service is nice. I like that they give you options for the ice.

Craving something sweet after a savory lunch. First time here and was pleasantly surprised they have a peach oolong. I love a good peach tea. This was fragrant and fruity, perfect for summer. Also got the Phoenix King which unfortunately tasted like flavored water. My preference is less sugar to taste the tea, and the Phoenix tasted weak, so I would not recommend. However, will def return for the peach tea. It's the only local tea shop I know that has a peach selection.

Oh yeah, @boba_square in Irvine has been satisfying all boba lovers in the OC with their bouncy and chew boba balls. Their boba goes well with every drink and their yummy popcorn chicken! PARKING: Pretty decent parking! Just park on the outskirts as the market is the main attraction in this plaza. SEATING: Typical boba shop layout. Big table, one small table, and a counter top. Seating on the outside as well. There's a couple of games they provide such as connect four and tic tac toe! SERVICE: Quick service! They were helpful to ask if I had any questions. Super nice people working at the counter! FOOD: Got the green thai tea with oat milk and it was fantastic! Just the right amount of sweetness and I could really taste the tea! This is my second time back at this boba shop, and a big part of that was thanks to Drew. From the moment I walked in, he was super friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. You can tell he really knows the menu and cares about making sure customers get exactly what they want. The drinks were fresh, well-balanced, and not overly sweet, or it can be depending on your preference which I really appreciated. Overall, the service and quality made this a spot I'll definitely be coming back! I also think this is better than omomo

This is quickly becoming my favorite local spot for boba. They really just hit all the checkmarks. 1. Fantastic variety. Tons of different milk and fruit teas, including some more unique flavors like guava. 2. Delicious taste/quality. So far I've had Green Thai (pictured below), house milk tea, wintermelon milk tea, and pink guava. None of them disappointed. They also add fun toppings like basil seeds and star jellies. 3. Great service and ambiance. The workers are pretty quick to help you out, even though there's a self-order screen. Interior design is sleek and pleasing. They even have some food items. I've tried their popcorn chicken and fries. I might prefer some other locations for this kind of food, but hey, at least they have something! All in all, I'm thankful that I found this spot, which is so close to where I live in Woodbury.

I went here cause it was next to work. They greet you upon arriving and had really friendly service. Their drinks were refreshing but I would come back just for the popcorn chicken alone. Crunchy, moist, and packs a lot of flavor. Highly recommend overall!

I got the lychee kisses which is a lychee slush with lychee bits and fresh strawberry puree. The consistency was ok, ice was a bit hard. I really liked the strawberry puree though and the strong lychee flavor. However overall I just thought it was average. There were a lot of other yummy-sounding flavors though on the menu.

I've been to the Boba Square in Tustin located in the District, and I've always loved the boba there. And so, I decided to give this place a try, and it was a great experience. The location has great parking, it's near a Korean market, it's really clean, and great staff. I really enjoy all the drinks, but so far my favorites are definitely the iced peach tea and house milk tea. read more

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. It's in the back of the shopping center and hard to spot if you're not looking for it. I always get the Thai tea smoothie with boba or grass jelly here, and it's always great. I wish they'd have specials on certain days or distributed coupons as I don't come here much because of the prices. read more

First of all their staff was very friendly and patient. My Mom and I had the Taro Smoothie with boba. The taro taste was very good, with the rights amount of sweetness and the boba pearls texture was made well, chewy but soft enough that it's easy to digest. Highly recommend this place! read more

Their black sugar milk tea at 50% was still pretty sweet (can't imagine how sweet it would be at 100%) and their boba is pretty okay. It was on the harder side than the right chewy consistency. I go to Zion pretty often and have been curious to check this place out. Honestly, compared to other places in Irvine that have an abundance of boba places, I don't think I would come back just because it's really over priced for a regular sized drink with boba. Ended up paying $6.50 for the drink and also have to tip, you know? There are better places around Irvine that give you your money's worth of boba and this place isn't it. read more

Came in on their 2nd day of opening. I know they're new, but their drinks could use some work. Oolong milk tea tasted watery whereas their Tustin location didn't have this problem. Boba was alright. It also has a much smaller menu than their Tustin location and doesn't have honey toast or waffles either. I hope that as time goes by they'll actually use the sealable lids because right now they don't have those, they gave me one with the clear plastic lid instead. read more

The menu didn't have the milk tea with fresh milk option but when I asked about it the staff was more than happy to make a special one for me. The milk tea was really good and the service even better! I'm a patron of Zion Market and Optometry Corner (Dr. Hawkin Lui) located in the same plaza as Boba Square. I'll be stopping by Boba Square whenever I'm shopping at Zion Market, Optometry Corner or in the area in general. read more

Boba Square is one of my favorite places to get boba so I came to this new location with high expectations and it was definitely met! Their decor was pretty and simple. I got Vienna Frappe which had really strong coffee flavor. I also got some macarons on the side and they were quite tasty as well. I am a little sad they didn't have waffle or honey toast but perhaps that's something they will add later on. Definitely think this location is more convenietly placed than their Tustin one. Conveniently located near Zion Market. Happy to see they opened Boba Square in this plaza. I almost always go to their Tustin location whenever I'm at the District, but this is a huge plus because its closer to my home now. I got one of my favorite drinks, black sesame smoothie, and its just as great as the one I get from the District. Definitely will be back! read more

I found this place near to Hako and was craving some Thai tea boba slush. Came in and it was pretty empty with one party in front of me. Seems like they ordered about 3 drinks total. I order my Thai tea boba slush and it took almost 15 minutes to get my drink. It made me late back to work and kept asking if my drink was done yet but it seems like they were having some issues with the prior group's order. I will probably try them again sometime but not a great first impression for me. Boba was good nothing that stood out and the flavor was the same old Thai tea powdered flavoring. I am not impressed with Boba Square. I ordered online by calling 10 minutes before I went to pick it up, and when I got there it was still not ready and I had to wait for another 10 minutes. Also, the cashier was yelling at me and when I walked in none of the workers acknowledged me standing there. Finally, the house milk tea was basically watered-down milk with some artificial tasting tea flavor. Go to Boba Time, it's only 5 minutes away. read more

Even it is one of my favorite boba places, and they have great stuff, they should check their employee. when I went there last friday before 1 hour closing hour they said that they ran out of boba. My friend had the same problem last time when he went to get drink How can it be possible to not have boba at boba place? I saw this new boba place so I went in and there were two people in front of us waiting in line to order. There were two employees working but they did not even acknowledge us and we just waited and waited in line. They did not even say 'we will be right there' and just ignored us. About 5 minutes passed and they still did not come by to take our orders or even looked at us. We just left after waiting for a while and people in front of left as well. I understand if there was only one person working but there were two people and one person could have easily took our orders. I don't understand why they open up if they don't want to sell anything. read more

No interaction, plus there's no seating available making online ordering that much more appealing.

Service was great too, we got served rather quickly and food came out promptly as well. Their drink selection is still the self serve, and you can still ask for sample cups to try. I believe they also brought some drinks from Ever After to here as I didn't see them before. I'm excited to come back again and try their other menu items. This place definitely got a much needed upgrade after the renovation!

They stick to a more traditional approach and don't add sweetener unless you ask for it. Lastly, the pourovers. Some people might question the price, but take a minute to smell the different beans at the counter. You'll quickly realize that not every bean smells like coffee. The tasting notes actually come through and you can tell a lot of care goes into every pour over they make. Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. Last note: they have their system down to a tee. The wait in line may be long but once you order it's super quick to receive your order.

Their Bingsoo is too icy and is not creamy and pillowy soft like other BIngsoo shops. Their Bingsoo almost tastes like shaved ice with fruit on top. Also, the condensed milk was given to us in a small cup and wasn't mixed in the bottom layers of each bowl. So, it was icy at the bottom, all the way to the top and then some strawberries with a condensed milk drizzle, a few mochi pieces, and then we were given a small cup of the condensed milk to sweeten it up ourselves. I don't think I will be back, except if I really don't have a choice for a dessert nearby.

I would highly recommend Boba Square to any boba lovers out there :) I regularly visit Boba Square for milk teas as I very much appreciate the drinks being made to excellence. They also have other food items on the menu, as well, but I only order the milk teas. They have a variety of teas, smoothies, and shakes to choose from and can also adjust the sweetness level to adhere to your preferences. I usually order Honeydew Milk tea and Matcha milk tea with boba, which are excellent!! The atmosphere is also very family friendly as they have a few games that children can play while in the store. The staff is also very kind and friendly and accommodate all my requests regarding my orders. Discovered this place while looking for boba places near Irvine. Glad I gave it a tried. The staff was very welcoming and patience. My friend took forever to make up her mind but the female cashier was patient and recommended all sort of drinks. we ended up ordering the peach mango with popping boba and it was delicious! My nephew used to work here and I need to share this information. The store owner tells employees to come in and work even though they tested positive for Covid-19, endangering customers and workers. My nephew's friend said that he wouldn't be able to come to his shift because he had covid, and the owner said not to tell anyone and come to work anyways. Please be aware! read more

I have only tried the House milk tea. It is really good. It doesn't taste like any other milk tea I have tried elsewhere. It tastes like it has a hint of chocolate in it. I like strong tea flavor, and this drink has that. Only downside is they don't do easy sweet. read more
