I have come here a few times now, and I have to say that this is phenomenal. First and foremost, the staff here was exceptional. They were incredibly friendly, patient, and kind every time I have come in. Unlike a lot of other boba shops, they actually use fresh Tapioca, instead of premade/frozen ones, and it makes a huge difference. Their attention to quality and fresh ingredients puts this boba shop in the top tier of boba shops I have been to, rivaling many of those found in places like Rowland heights. My first post was on 10/12/19 when it was grand opening. Here is an update when I went again. 10/14 The owner was very nervous the first day and also I was her first customer. She messaged me on yelp the same day letting me know that she did forget to mention grand opening special and let me have complimentary drink on my next visit. So I went in yesterday and she already recognized me already She is a kind lady and very apologetic. This time I got the lavender milk tea and rose slush. The flavors are spot on and the consistency are great. There are also new drawings on the blackboard which are pretty amazing. As a boba addict I had to come here and check out the new boba place. When you walk in you instantly see the creative anime mural to your left. The place has a very clean, modern vibe, super cute over all. They even have a little bookcase with mangas. I've been here twice now and both times I have not been disappointed. The first time I got the Wintermelon Green Milk Tea with Taro Pudding and the second time I got the Taro Milk Tea with boba. The wintermelon milk tea was so delicious, not crazy sweet as boba drinks can tend to be. The taro pudding had a nice flavor and texture as well. They also let you customize how sweet you want your drink so you can tell them to make it less sweet. Their taro milk tea is hands down the best one I've ever had. I came at 8:47 with my family and said they closed at 9, nice to see that they were still smiling and cheering. As a tea conosuer, there are many flavors BUT not much uniqueness. HOWEVER, you will not be disappointed with the taste. I ordered a rose milk tea with mini boba. I really enjoyed how fresh the boba was and the smooth flavoring of the rose. Planning to get a lavender milk tea next time, or even peach milk tea (which is surprisingly hard to master). This honestly seems like a great place to hangout and talk with friends, with the exception that there aren't that many seats, but we shall see. My old "negative" comment would be that their stamp card is not all that great of a loyalty reward, 10 drinks for -$3.50. I started going to Boba Star right before the pandemic started and they've never disappointed. Drinks are delicious and the owners are super duper nice. I love the ongoing wall paintings. My only gripe is not their fault, the immediate parking lot in front of them is limited and spots are usually taken by the military folks across the way. It gets so congested, sometimes people double park and just block the way until they're forced to move. Again, not their fault and I usually opt to park on either side of the building so I avoid the headache. I always get the Vietnamese coffee which is strong and sweet - just like I like em! So happy to find a boba place with almond flavor and mini boba option! I went for the first time today and everything went pretty well. I ordered a regular almond milk tea with mini boba and the total came out to $5.22 after tax. I was also given a punch card which is always nice since I get boba often. Ordering to getting my drink was all pretty quick. The drink was very good and the boba was the perfect texture. The store itself is bright and inviting and very clean, however not many seating options. Parking can also be hard to find since it's in a very busy intersection and shopping center. I had to park in the back of the building because everything in front was taken. Other than that tho I really enjoyed my visit and will be back! Just one suggestion that will make this place even better is if they offered reusable cups at no extra charge and offers a discount if we reuse it, like mr chi boba at dos Lagos does.
