I'm a fan of Vietnamese food, including bahn mi sandwiches, which is why I went to Boba Tea and Coffee. I wanted bahn mi for my lunch. It wasn't up to my expectations. It wasn't even average. I thought the bread wasn't crispy and fresh. I felt the meat was skimpy. I wanted more veggies on it, especially the cilantro. It really just disappointed me. I love this place! The boba tea is so delicious- always prepared perfectly. There is a wide variety of flavours (my favourite switches between the Milk Tea, the Japanese Green Tea, and the Taro Coconut). The staff is very friendly and happy. $3 for an iced, $3.50 for blended, and a mere 25¢ for extra boba! The shop, as others have said, is small. Currently, there are two tall, small round tables inside (3 comfy tall chairs each), and now that the weather is nice, there is a little table with 2 chairs outside. So be prepared to maybe take it to go. Parking is a little tricky, as this is on an awkward corner lot of Churn Creek and Hartnell, but there is plenty of parking in the surrounding mini mall, in case you have issues. If you love boba, or in the sad case that you may have never had it, definitely take a trip here! read more

I LOVED this place so much I had a pregnancy craving and drove 30 min just to get some! When I arrived we were told they had no boba which was disappointing but not a deal breaker. I asked if they could substitute the boba for their poppers, and they said yes, so I was totally fine with it! I go to order and make sure I double check that the poppers will be replaced for the boba that was part of the drink I was paying for, and again, I was told they would be. After being told that, I asked to add one more side of poppers, that I knew I would be charged for, and was then told I would be charged for all of the poppers as add ons... by the same person who had already told me 2 other times that I wouldn't... so I explained that I thought that they were going to be substituted for the boba that they didn't have that was supposed to come with the drink, and that I knew the extra one would be an extra charge but that he already said the ones that came with the drink wouldn't be. He said, "oh, okay," did something on the register, took my card, and then proceeded to charge me not only for the poppers, but charged me EXTRA money than what they were listed as! Due to the lack of integrity this place has (and the fact they literally STOLE from a customer), I will not be returning, and will be sure to let others know about my experience so they can take their business elsewhere, as well. read more

I go here to get my Thai tea with boba fix. I love this place, it has the best boba tea in Redding. They have a large variety of options, and it's easy to mix and match custom drinks. I'm vegetarian, so I have not tried the sandwiches, but there are also bagels and muffins if you need a quick lunch. Quick service and great drinks. read more

This is my favorite place to grab a drink. They have "normal" flavors like coffee and tea, but the exotic flavors are where it's at IMO. The lavender milk tea tastes like the best chai on Earth, and the avocado is fresh and creamy. Great if you want something that's not too sweet. My personal fave: Large Red Bean Smoothie w/double boba pearls and vanilla yogurt poppers. Mmm!!! If you haven't had red bean (and who has?), imagine something that tastes like a cross between chocolate and grapes. It's amazingly good stuff! When my gf and I were looking into moving to Redding I really wasn't sure if they would have a boba shop but sure enough this place popped up on yelp. Its the only true boba place in town (aside from asian restaurants that also serve boba but those are never that good) for probably for over 100mi. Been there twice so far and only got the plain milk tea because I like to keep it simple. The drink was surprisingly pretty good and I've been to MANY many boba places. You can tell a decent boba place from a crappy boba place by 2 things I think. 1) is if they use real tea for their milk tea drinks and not some powdered sugarwater mix. 2) if they know how to cook boba. Their bobas were a good consitency and flavor but I do believe they use powdered mixes for their milk teas which many places do. Their mix was at least decent and didn't seem too much like sugar water. Still it is in Redding so there aren't other options. I'm a fan. read more

This is by far one of the best boba cafes around ! It is one of my weekly go to spots. They always provide excellent quick service and affordable prices with great servings !! Their Thai iced tea boba is my all time favorite and takes me back to when I first tried Thai tea in Thailand. You can mix flavors as well as get it blended, or iced. If you don't like the boba (tapioca pearls, poppers, lychee jelly etc) you can order your drink without it :) . Don't forget to pick up a punch card . This was one of my favorite little coffee shops when I lived out near Redding. I never actually ate here, but I had the milk tea with boba frequently. My favorite is the almond milk tea, but the lavender one is great, too. Staff are always friendly. It's a very small interior, but it's inviting enough, and they do have free wifi. I just moved to redding and it is so white, I was excited to find a boba place. I had traditional milk tea over ice with boba and it was great, gone much too fast. The cashier was nice and friendly, and very helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone. The only drawback is their drive thru is very weird, I wasn't sure where to pull up, then the cashier has to run outside from behind the counter to take your order. I have been getting boba tea for years. I even make it for myself at home. But it's a little convenient to go out and have it already made for you. But this place is okay. Just okay. They don't cook their boba completely. Not like it can get you sick. But cooking it completely gives it that chewy texture. And giving it an ice bath after makes it even chewier. I also am not a big fan of the taste of the boba from this place. Other places sweeten their boba with honey or brown sugar, and I don't think they really sweeten theirs. The flavors that they are offer are okay. They should use a different brand of flavors also. I've never had a blended milk tea as powdery feeling. And it's not that they don't blend it. It just doesn't dissolve as easy. I encourage you guys to experiment a little. Down in Chico, there is this little boba shop, and every time I walk in there, the woman is always coming up with her own recipes. She puts little watermelon cubes and chia seeds in her teas. She also comes up with all of her own flavors using syrups and extracts. I love that you guys offer variety and a fair price for what you get.
