Bobaholic is on the list of my must-visit destination. For those who love boba drinks and Asian-style street food, I really recommend this place. They are located in a convenient plaza with easy parking. They are also pet-friendly eatery, with comfortable sofas in the room and a relaxing atmosphere. The food at Bobaholic is simply delicious. I am a Bobaholic, not literally this place but I am a boba and tea fan. I have a large collection of loose leaf teas at home of all varieties, so I am very particular with my teas. I also cook my own boba once in a blue moon. Every place I go to I will track down multiple boba tea shops. I've tried probably every tea places in the bay including when this place use to be Black Pearl. For me, a hit is strong good tea that taste like the tea that it is named, not too creamy if ordering a milk tea, their 25% or 30% sweet better not make me feel like my teeth are going to fall out, and perfect chewy bouncy boba with minimal hint of honey/sweetness. Teaspoon is my favorite in the bay due to their strong and fresh tea variety, however, they changed their boba and it taste like pandas jelly now which is gross, regardless of location. I got the Jasmine milk tea here, it's not as strong as Teaspoon but still good but more so due to their super addicting boba. Ah boba...I miss you so much. I'll still go to teaspoon for my tea fix but no toppings. For my boba fix I will be going here, their 25% sweetness is perfect, not to creamy to make me vomit and the tea is not bad. read more

I stopped by after work for the grand opening. The shop seems pretty cozy, it seems like it might be a good place to sit and do work. Grand opening gave a different vibe though, not sure if having the dj there was a good choice since you'd want the cashier to actually hear your order right? I could barely hear when they called out my name too... I ordered a matcha latte, rose garden and popcorn chicken. I thought the rose one was gonna be a milk tea because it was under the "premium milk tea" category but I got a reddish liquid instead lol, for some reason I didn't think about it until I got in my car, so that's on me. It was too sweet for my liking, although when all the ice melted it seems better. I think I would have preferred if they had a sweetness adjustment on their menu, but I guess it's my fault for not asking. Matcha latte and popcorn chicken were fine though but not special enough to write home about. Overall I think it's an okay pit stop, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get boba here. I tried this place twice in the past week and there's barely a line now. Last week I tried the sea salt crema jasmine tea with honey boba and Earl Grey macaron and they were both really good. I ate the macaron first so the tea didn't taste sweet enough at first. Even without adjusting the sweetness the tea wasn't too sweet so I really liked the sea salt crema jasmine tea. I tried the mung bean milk tea with honey boba and I have mixed feelings. I didn't really like the powder-y flavor in my mouth when drinking the mung bean milk tea. Despite not enjoying the mung bean milk tea, I would come back to try other things on the menu (I'm especially interested in trying the assam milk tea and Vietnamese coffee). This place also has really fast service since I got my drink in under 5 minutes both times I visited. Don't forget to ask for a stamp card if you plan on coming often! read more

The drinks are ok. There's more variety and new drinks that other older boba places don't offer. I wouldn't get their pho or main course food though. They have samples for most of their teas except the special/supreme ones. TBH I haven't really found a boba place in SJ that is a "to die for" or anything that can really hold me in after drinking it a few times without getting bored. The -1 star is for the cup not being filled to the top. I get that there are times where the teas aren't mixed to the right amount, but all of my 5 cups were not filled to the top. This place has the best boba ever! It's not too hard or too soft but just right. I got a large honey chrysanthemum tea with boba and it's my absolute favorite! I'm very in to floral teas so this drink is right up my alley. And I also got a regular Andrada tea with strawberry heart jelly and mango jelly. This is my second favorite drink from here. I love the harmony between the mango and guava flavors along with the jellies too! I would definitely go here again with my friends. read more
