Tisane is one of our favorite boba spots, and their milk tea is honestly one of our favorites. Since we live in San Francisco, we always try to stop by whenever we're in the area because the atmosphere is typically great, the staff is attentive, and service is usually very fast. Unfortunately, this visit felt very different from the standard we're used to. We waited about 15 minutes for our drinks even though no one else was there, and no one updated us about the delay. A simple update that the drinks were taking longer than usual would have been appreciated and also would have prevented us from having to walk toward the back area just to ask for the restroom code since no one was at the front counter. The employee who should have been at the front appeared to be on her phone, and the restroom also wasn't stocked. On top of that, there was no music playing and many drinks were already sold out by 2pm, which felt odd and made the overall experience feel off. Came here after a job interview as I had this on a list of places that I've been meaning to go to and it was on the way back home. Tisane has a decent amount of parking (with two spots reserved for going there) and has a pleasant, club-like ambiance with two claw machines that had Nintendo plushies in them. It appears that you are able to pay for a chance to play on the claw machine with the use of Apple Pay, which is a nice touch but not what I was there for. I ordered my drink, the Blush, through the kiosk. As I was attempting to pay, there were multiple occurrences where the card would not be accepted through Apple Pay. When it finally got through from me having to pull out my physical credit card, it proceeded to charge me twice for one drink. The drink was also just okay; I got it at 25% sweetness which was a decent level for me, but it tasted oddly artificial. The strawberry hearts also had a somewhat inconsistent texture, as some pieces were harder to chew than others. Overall, a mediocre experience. The boba itself was like 6-7/10 it's soft and still chewy but you can tell it's the freeze dried packaged ones and not the boba that is a big bigger but usually has more bite and is sweetened in house. I would say it is a good basic though. The interior has a vibe, a little club-y. It's dark inside, a lot of the interior is black and LED lights. They do have 2 small claw machines with a mix of stuffed animals and some little figures, but they looked pretty low quality and even a few stained or dirty. Personally, the music was pretty loud and it sounded like the settings may have been altered so some songs had super emphasized and squeaky bass notes that were simply irritating to the ear. My family and I wanted to just hang out and catch up and this isn't the place to do it. We wanted to ask to use the BOARD GAMES but there was a long stretch when no workers were at the front so we were whatever about it. I am very happy to see more boba places opening in the North Valley area! I came to this Tisane during their opening week. I was very excited, as the other Tisane location is a bit far from me. There was plenty of seating, a handy kiosk for ordering, and an accessible restroom. My sister and I ordered their popular pink drink "Blush." This is my go-to drink. If you love strawberry and green tea flavor, I would definitely recommend. I love how they put strawberry heart jellies as the topping in this drink. During their opening week, there was also a discount code that could be applied to any drink purchase. I found my drink to be an okay sweetness, but it had a strong and strange aftertaste that I don't normally taste with this drink. Pleasantly surprised to hear another Tisane location opened up! This plaza has a decent amount of parking, but it might be receiving more traffic as more boba enthusiasts make more stops at Tisane. This is a standard size boba restaurant with a few tables and group seating arrangements. However, since I came during soft opening week, the restaurant was starting to fill up and people had to stand. Their soft opening prices were amazing because we used the discount code. My family and my favorite drink is the pink drink "Blush," which is all what we typically order at the other Tisane. We all ordered Blush but at various sweetness levels. It was refreshing on a hot day, but we found the drink itself to be just ok. I didn't taste that much of a blended milk and tea flavor, and we all thought the aftertaste was not that pleasing. It was a little disappointing compared to the drinks made at the original location, but maybe the baristas are getting used to brewing the drinks. We were satisfied by the service and discount code, and the atmosphere was inviting and perfect for a catch up with friends. With so many boba places in the Bay Area, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience and see myself coming back when I'm craving something more on the sweet side. We ordered through the Kiosk and our drinks came out quickly. My friend and I ordered the Golden (assam milk tea with golden brown sugar) and Sugar Hill (high mountain oolong milk tea with golden brown sugar), subbing the recommended toppings with honey boba (no additional charge). At 70% sweet, both drinks were still on the sweet side (probably a standard 100%) but not overbearingly sweet that we couldn't taste the tea. The Sugar Hill had a stronger floral tea flavor which help offset some of the sweetness. The boba was also sweet but a bit too soft and less chewy/bouncy, which some might not be a fan of. A subtle detail I liked was that they actually gave less ice when requested compared to other places. Overall, I could see myself coming back here for a sweet boba fix!
