This place has one of the worst customer service! I agree with the review below from Chad. We also asked for boba on the side today. I even called first to make sure. I was going to buy at first and the one who answered said I don't have to pay for as long as we buy. When we arrived, the owner said no, they can't sell it to us. Huh? He all of a sudden changed his mind? What kind of customer service is that? Fine....I said not to put the boba in my drink and just put it in a separate container. He said they don't have an extra container and they can't sell me an extra cup. That's it. We're done with them. Our neighborhood is a pretty friendly community. They shouldn't be here. If you're looking for good boba, this is not the place. Their boba is literally flavorless. The male owner of the place is a jerk as well. Horrible horrible customer service. I work in customer service, you're supposed to allow your customers to enjoy/finish their food/smoothies for at least 10 min after closing time. And different types of milk teas etc.... the Older Asian lady working was not very friendly , being my first time here I was asking questions if the sweetness of their teas can be adjusted and she was a little ride to me , like how dare I ask. If I could give this place a zero I would. My go to boba shops are about a 15 min drive for me, but I wanted to try something more local this time.. which was a mistake. Walking in this place was not the cleanest and the menu was too big for their own good, they were also overpriced for their bland taste. Not to mention that the boba itself was not good, which is surprising because this place is literally called BOBAloca, you'd think it'd be good but it tasted old and the texture was off. To top it all off, there were flies all over the place, so that should've been a red flag in itself. Bad service. There was an order sitting behind the counter since before I ordered, then after 15 minutes of waiting the man (which I assume is the owner) handed me one of the old drinks that someone obviously didn't show up for. The ice was already melted and the drink was watered down and flavorless. I told him it had been sitting there for a long time and I didn't want to take it, but he shoved it in front of me, blew me off and moved on to the next customer. Lifesaver after a bad lunch! This boba Loca is an oasis...meaning there is nothing else around. Beggars can't be choosers when given the option of only regular iced tap water when you really want sparkling water from the French Alps!. With that said, I'm actually suprised that its surviving in this downsizing economy. Thanks to all the local patron I guess! I had ordered the almond milk tea boba and extra boba is actually free! I tried a number of their other boba drinks like the taro and the red bean but they really didn't hit the spot like other boba shops. The taste was much watered down and not sweet enough. Their boba was bland and kind of hard, unlike the other boba shops in Diamond Bar or in the SGV area. I guess that doesn't really matter to the "local patron" who frequent here. Who knows, when you try to order a green tea boba drink and you tell the owner that you don't want too much tea because the caffeine keeps you awake??? Next....Anyways, it was rather funny. By far the worst boba experience in Riverside. First off, the owner (I believe she's the owner because she referred to the drinks as "HER milk tea") is downright RUDE. I asked if I could have a taro milk tea with no added sweetener, and she replies: "No, you haven't had MY taro milk tea. It's not sweet, just have it regular." Same when I asked for regular house milk tea. And guess what, IT IS SUPER SWEET! My husband and I couldn't even finish our drinks because I felt like I was shooting sugar up my veins. Seriously, you refuse to customize your boba drinks for your customers who typically don't like sweet drinks? Do yourself a favor and make the 7 minute drive down to University Village and go to ANY of the boba shops there. I recommend Lollicup or Ten Ren's. Literally 1000 times better than this fake boba place. And for any of the reviewers who defend this place and say it's great, I'm not going to read any other of your reviews because it's clear you and I have extremely different tastes on what GOOD milk tea is. Oh another downfall, no punch card! First boba place that doesn't have a punch card for loyal customers. I only come here for the boba drinks here. It's awesome that wanting more boba is free. The drinks here are a hit or miss here. Some days the drink will be on point and freaking bomb, and there are days where it's like WTF! The drinks sometimes taste too watered down. Sometimes when the boba is not cooked to well, like one day it's super chewy and another day when it's like super NOT chewy. The staff is normally a bunch of high schoolers from King HS down the street. Their pretty fast and they're really nice. Kind of sucks how they charge you for using your debit/credit card. read more

I LOVE this boba! It is so hard to find good boba in Riverside (unless you're by the University). I live in Menifee/Murrieta area so this is quite a drive out just to get boba. But it's worth it. I come every time I'm in the area for my doctor appointments. The owner is really nice and provides fast service. I barely have time to sit before he's already done with my order. The drink described in Lynnie P.'s review sounded so good, I had to give it a try for myself. Got there pretty late on a Saturday night (a few minutes before closing) and was warmly greeted by what seemed like the owner. Looked like she was making the drinks, while her one employee manned the register. Asked for a large half taro milk tea/half regular milk tea, and they were happy to oblige even though it isn't a regular menu drink. Service was quick, and the drink was amazing! One of my favorite boba drinks by far. I will definitely be back again for more! My only complaints are that they close fairly early (9 pm Monday-Saturday and 8 pm on Sundays), and there is a 45 cent transaction charge for all credit/debit cards. Other than that, it's a great place to grab drinks and hang out! read more

I happen to drive by the plaza from work and noticed the sign, then Yelped it, saw the ratings and decided to give it a go. I ordered a small Thai iced tea with boba and it tasted great. The tea tasted like any Thai place. It doesn't taste cheap like from a cheap boba joint. Boba is free so they don't give you a lot but it was enough. I saw people ordering waffles and froyo. It's not boba tea house or half 'n' half but the boba is pretty decent here. I love that the boba doesn't cost extra cause majority of boba places do charge you for boba. The staff is super friendly, the environment is neat and clean. The store itself is pretty cute and well organized. I've only had their creamy milk shakes and the classic favorites (thai milk tea, Tapioca milk tea, etc.) and overall it's really good. I find little fault in this place. I go there all the time as a treat, but I recently went and had a bad experience. I waited over 20 minutes for 2 simple drinks. OVER 20 MINUTES. They weren't even that busy customer wise. They had made one of my drinks and took FOREVER to make the second one. They left my drink out for 15 minutes and then finally decided to put it in the freezer; but it was too late. I just took my kids here and it was SO GOOD. The boba milk tea was really good, but the fruity shaved ice was AMAZING. I tasted it and its sweet...but I'm not a fruity slush kind of gal. I ordered a chai tea latte, but they only had 2% milk, no non fat milk. I decided to live on the edge and go for it.
