Enjoyed our visit at BoBaPOP Tea Bar. The girls at the counter provided such sweet customer service. We ordered from the kiosk and the girls at the counter informed us of their top 5 famous coffee and milk tea specialty drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]BoBaPOP Tea Bar has such a welcoming ambiance. It's so pretty and artistic inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your speciality coffee and milk tea drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today's visit we ordered Saigon Cafe Latte-Vanilla Bean Iced and the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Both drinks were so good. You can taste the coffee and espresso as the vanilla bean balanced out the taste of the espresso. Vietnamese Egg Coffee was unique and equally delicious as the Saigon Cafe Latte-Vanilla Bean Iced. We can't wait to come back to try other specialty coffee and milk tea drinks on their menu.

I found my go-to neighborhood tea house and it's BoBaPOP Tea Bar! I've been eyeing this tea house for a while now and finally dragged my fiancé with me on a weekend to visit. I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of options they offered from traditional teas to fun slushes and lattes. I want to try it all after just the two drinks we had! I ordered a Osmanthus Oolong Tea for myself and a Mango Slush for my fiancé. We both usually love traditional teas but it was a hot day and he wanted to try something new. My Osmanthus Oolong Tea was had a delicately floral and a fresh steeped tea taste, done by true tea makers, that make the tea oh so smooth and concentrated. Needless to say, I think they know what they are doing here with their tea. I added Aloe Vera as a topping in mine and it had just the right texture to it as well. Superb tea! I'll definitely be ordering this again. The Mango Slush was great as well, just gave us brain freeze a lot since we don't get this often and forgot how to enjoy slushes. They have two kiosk ordering systems to the left side upon entry. It showed all the pictures of the tea selections, which I appreciated and awed at! It was very easy to order and you can also sign up to earn points. After the order is submitted, your name will pop up on the TV above with a estimated time it'll be completed - great system and service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are many tables and it also looked like a great place to wind down and study with all the bright colors surrounding you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Who won't have a great time here sipping on tea and studying? I can't wait to go back and try more things!

My boyfriend and I were running errands in the area and decided to be spontaneous and detour for a boba break. BoBaPOP Tea Bar was on our way back so it was convenient. As we pulled but there was a Michoacana in the same plaza... I low key regret not going there instead. I actually had positive experiences going to BoBaPOP at other locations so I came here thinking we would enjoy our purchase. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a lot of seating and 2 kiosk for you to order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only saw one staff who was behind making drinks and if someone needed to pay in cash. My boyfriend had a BoBaPOP Milk Tea with Boba ($6.50) less sweet and I had a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Egg Pudding ($6.50) less sweet. THE DRINKS TOOK FOREVER. And worst of all both drinks were on the bland side. The flavor of the tea was very faint. Not sure if they rush brewed a batch of tea because they were behind and just threw things together. Not a fan of this specific location and won't be coming back.

There were 2 self order kiosks but an employee was at the counter. She was nice and pleasantly answered our questions. I ordered the Vietnamese egg coffee (iced). At first it was really sweet but once I stirred and mixed it, it was much better. Still a bit sweeter than I prefer. If you like sweet coffee, it might be for you. A nice first time experience. I ordered the BoBaPOP Milk Tea ($5.75 / Large) with Cheese Foam (additional $1.25). If I wanted boba pearls, I'd need to pay an additional $1, so I refrained. The immediate flavor of the Milk Tea is watery milk. The milk is fresh, but it tastes watered down. The Cheese Foam (additional $1.25) tastes salty and processed. It's reminiscent of cheese in a spray can. Thankfully, the drink is refreshing. It's not flavorful; rather, it's hydrating like a watery sports drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, the gorgeous ambiance and staff's excellent customer service are the sole reason this score is not a three star or below.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I arrived on a Monday (around 12:40PM). Staff immediately greeted me with a smile. "Welcome!" [[HIGHLIGHT]]As I glance around, I am taken aback by BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa's) lovingly maintained decor and appearance. Not only is the location clean, its colors and decorations are attractive and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Customers are expected to use the self-service kiosk. However, I disliked how there wasn't a paper receipt option. And I disliked being asked to place my phone number into the machine. The BoBaPOP Milk Tea ($5.75 / Large) with Cheese Foam (additional $1.25) took one minute and 56 seconds to complete. Extremely fast!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa) is very clean and well-ventilated. It includes a board game corner and customer (no public) restroom. Also, its furniture are shiny and well-maintained. I also enjoyed the upbeat, calming music[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall, I had an okay experience at BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa). The drink is not awful. It's refreshing but unmemorable and frugal-tasting. The kind customer service and beautiful ambiance is the true attraction. I hope BoBaPOP Tea Bar (Azusa) improves its products in the future. 3.75 out of 5

When am I not drinking boba lol? I was in the area Yelping and found this spot nearby. Parking: They're located in a big plaza with plenty of parking spots. Ambiance/Environment: Such cute decor! I love the umbrellas, bright colors, and bicycle prop. They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. It was pretty consistent when I visited. Service: You can mobile order, order at one of the kiosks, or place an order at the counter. The male worker that assisted me was knowledgable about the menu and gave me good recommendations. Throughput was under 5 min from ordering. Drinks: 1) Matcha Latte - The matcha color looked nice. The matcha itself tasted delicious. I was told their 100% sweetness isn't actually too sweet. This is true. The matcha and sugar had an equal balance. 2) Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea w/ boba - The boba tasted as expected; not too chewy. The brown rice flavor was light. 3) Cold Brew Coffee w/ sea salt foam & boba - This contained condensed milk, and it was surprisingly not too sweet. You can still taste the coffee flavor. The consistency isn't thick. I recommend shaking this upside down, so the sea salt foam can be mixed in. Pricing: Average prices $$ for boba teas.

Perfect to have refreshing drink in a hot weather. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Went here on weekend and good thing it wasn't that busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered their popular drink Bobapop milk tea, I think it was okay. I like it it's not that sweet but it doesn't have the milk tea taste. Their match drink is really good. It's just sad they don't have boba it's sold out so I got the crystal boba. The drinks I ordered it would be better with regular boba instead of crystal boba. Also, I think the price is a bit pricey for regular milk tea $5.25 small plus crystal boba is $1.

They also have board games. I think most drinks here are good. Cold tea and boba are nice. The hot tea was too bitter. I think the tea itself was good tea but it tasted like it's over soaked (soaked way too long in hot water).

This is located in the Stater Bros plaza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of parking and the decor is really cute and open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There wasn't anyone at the register, so I ordered my drink on the self service kiosk. Even though I was the only one there, it still took 13 mins for my drink to be ready. I got the matcha latte and Saigon coffee latte. All I tasted was the milk and the sweetener for the matcha. The coffee was good, but too sweet.

Plenty of seating, a self-service kiosk, and an ample parking lot. Service was okay, the male employee seemed bothered by a customer who decided to skip the self-service kiosk and order at the counter. I ordered at the kiosk after watching that interaction, prices are higher than in other places. My boba milk tea was just okay. My son asked for a slushie. My son and I could sit and sip on our drinks while playing Jenga. The decor is cute. It felt warm as we sat there, we left after 10 minutes.

Bobapop is one of my favorite boba shops and I had no idea they had a location in Azusa so I had to go visit! This shop is way bigger than the San Gabriel location and has plenty of seating for hanging out with friends or working. They even have some board games available! It's located in a plaza with a Stater Bros, Marie Callendars, and more so parking isn't scarce and pretty easy to get. As I said earlier, this location is super spacious and very clean. It's also got cute decor so you can get the perfect content pics! The lantern backdrop is soo pretty! There are two kiosks you can order your drinks at or you can go to the register to be helped. My go to drinks are the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, the Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea, and in the summer, the White Peach Roasted Oolong Tea. All soooo excellent and you can really taste the tea which I feel like isn't always the case at boba places. What stood out to me most was that they offered a boba & cream croissant which I hadn't seen before. To my surprise, it was actually so good and not as sweet as I thought! The croissant was perfectly toasted and soft and it paired really well with the cream. Totally recommend! Given the space and convenience of parking, the Azusa location may be my new go to bobapop shop! read more

We stopped by on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered the brown rice milk tea, matcha milk tea, and osmathus milk tea. I will say it was very milky and the flavor was not very apparent. Replying to the owners response. I included a screenshot of a positive brown sugar boba I have at another boba place. Your response doesn't make me want to go back to your establishment. Just like I asked the guy if there was anything we could do to make the drink better. He just stared at me and you just gave me a blanket response. And my husband said the Taro slushee was also terrible. I chose not to add it in the last post, but since you brought it up.. my husband said he didn't want to have another interaction with the guy working there. You gotta learn better customer service and replies to Yelp reviews. Shit was so ass it ruined my whole year. (The year just started) milk tea tasted like expire milk boba was hard. Strawberry mill tea tasted like death. Stopped in to pickup an order for my daughter, what in the world? This place is a goto/have to try! Professional and polite staff, even during a quick rush period. Now this is how you run a service-oriented business. As soon as I walked in I could tell 'whomever' the owner was, they certainly loved this place. *Clean *Music (not too loud) *Decor! **Real staff The solo, male employee handled the walking orders and I also heard the online e orders 'Ding' out loud. I thought to myself, this place must be serving great product with this much foot and o line traffic. It was non-stop for a while there. The true compliment goes to this employee who was completely Professional and Courteous to the patrons during his interactions. Truthfully, I'm very tired of the typical and majority of the other Boba joints out there today. Usually, it's too loud, the staff throws or slams your order onto the counter, without even a smile. This place is definitely different. A long positive review for well deserved Boba and Tea House. My daughter told me she loved her drink [Macha Boba] and stated I am welcome to pick some more up from here any time I wanted. Well, I've been back 2 additional times and the experience is way above the normal standard out there. The way I see it, we can take our money ey elsewhere at the drop of a hat! I love the decor. The way it is decorated it very nice. i like that details of it, especially with the bike. The place is very clean and well put together. There are lanterns hanging from the ceiling which are super cool to me. The lighting is nice and I cant complain about this place. I recommend the peach tea, kiwi slush with passion fruit burst boba balls(thats what I call them). Another drink is the Dodgers Dream Float. As you all know, the Dodgers just won the world series so go and purchase this drink and represent the Dodgers. Also try the Bubbles and cream croissant. It very interesting and tastes good. Good boba tea, however, it's Pricey compared to Ding Tea and other establishments but we wanted to try it as it's local. I don't think $7 is worth it for a large Jasmine Milk tea with Golden Boba. Service was good and friendly. read more

Found this really cute boba tea place in Azusa. I liked the design of the whole place and the drink cups were cute. Order via the kiosk and you get the drink a little later. Few games available such as unstable unicorn and uno. The drinks themselves were actually very good. I had the chocolate milk tea which was almost like regular chocolate milk. The kiwi milk tea is where it's at though. It wasn't on the menu but you could see it on the kiosk. It tastes almost like yogurt and was delicious. I'd be back! read more

Allegedly this drink is the 2nd best selling drink. Do I have COVID because this drink taste like nothing. I could of pored myself a glass or milk with ice and called it a day for way less. We were sad to see the previous boba place to leave but we were more excited to see that a new boba place took its place! We loved the decorations and ambiance of this boba bar. It felt warm and inviting and excited to try their boba drinks. I'm not sure how new this place was but as warm and inviting the boba bar feels the customer service was lacking. They had the kiosk stand to order your boba drink and usually I like to order with a real person but the person making the boba did not even greet us or look at us when we arrived. She may have been busy making online orders but a simple welcome would have been nice. After ordering our drinks the person just said our name and left the drink and kept going on her way. Hopefully service gets better because the boba pearls were soft and warm and the drinks were delicious. read more

My daughter and I give it a 5 star for ambiance! Very cute place to go and hangout. They also have board games. She got the caramel milk tea with boba and I got the taro slush with boba. Both were okay. Nothing out of this world though. We will definitely come back with the rest of the family for boba and games! I started coming to this Tea bar about a month ago and now I'm hooked! It's clean, the staff is friendly no matter the time of day/night, and of course the drinks are top tier!! I was already a fan of BobaPop but just found out about this Azusa location, and I'm happy to say the quality of the tea I've come to expect is the same here as at the other location I've been to. When I visited this past Sunday, I ordered the Wintermelon Green tea, and it was so good- refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. You can adjust the sweetness and ice levels on the drink too. I also had the boba croissant, which I honestly was not sure about as a concept, but it was really good. The croissant is soft and flaky, served warm with fresh tapioca pearls. It all pairs surprisingly well and is a light dessert to share with friends. I liked that this location has the same cute decor as San Gabriel, but the space is a bit bigger, making it a nice place to hang out. The staff was friendly and quick. Finally a decent Boba place. I don't need to travel too far to find a nice place. I have tried many boba place and some of them doesn't really hit the taste for me. The staff are very easy going l, this is when ever I we. The place is very quiet and comfortable to just enjoy your drink. I love how you can customize your sweetness to your liking. For me I prefer to about 70% sweetness. Not too bitter. Not too sweet. No drink picture included because I've already started drinking it once I receive my order haha. Loved my visit to BobaPOP in Azusa! I've been to the other locations and loved them and was happy the experience was the same at this one. It's a great location right off Route 66, nice and big with plenty of seating and really cute decor. The drinks are great quality and the boba croissant is incredible! I was surprised it was so good. I also got the banana milk latte and it was also so good. I must have it again. Service was lovely and fast and could also easily see myself jumping in for a quick coffee any time. I can't wait to head back to try the taro slushy! read more

I noticed BoBaPOP was open so I decided to check it out. The interior was cute and I love self-serve kiosks so I was really happy to see two self server kiosks. Staff were quick and friendly and they have free wifi here so it would be a good place to study for students at Azusa Pacific University or other schools nearby. The music is a bit loud but if you bring your own headphones I think it would be a nice place to work or study. Tokyo Pistachio Matcha Latte (9/10) - Can only order a large, I got 70% sweetness and it was nice. I think 100% sweetness wouldn't be too sweet so I recommend! Grapefruit Tea (7.5/10) I liked the other drink better but I recommend getting 100% sweetness if you do. read more

This time, I decided to try their 3Q milk tea (pearl, egg pudding, herbal), flower green milk tea, passionfruit tea, and sunrise tea. The flower green milk tea might be my new favorite! BobaPOP is my favorite tea spot/chain. The complexity/flavor of their base tea is so much better than most boba/tea spots. Add in a few specialty tea options(tieguanyin, roasted oolong, flower jade), of which you can customize similarly to any other tea spot, and this place stands heads and shoulders above. The vibes in here are nice, BUT the seating is abysmal. Not cozy at all. What is the deal with all these places removing seats or having seats that are not comfy and inviting and wanting you to stay and hang out and possibly have more than one drink. I'm not even talking about cafes but look at the mall, all the seating is gone. Is foot traffic so important that you need to get people in and out? I'm soooo happy they opened a bobapop in the area! I used to always drive to the San Gabriel location from Azusa just to get their drinks. Been going for years now and they're always super consistent. I'm a huge fan of the Japanese brown rice milk tea and the speciality milk teas. Their drinks are on the milder side in terms of sweetness so I always order 100% sweet. I also appreciate the detailed descriptions of all the drinks on the self-order tablet- it's very helpful when deciding which drink to order. Located near a few colleges, this boba shop has great ambiance for studying or getting some work done! I will definitely be back often! read more

They offer free Wi-Fi which is convenient for College students in the area. Their menu has various assortment of drinks and Taiwanese food. I went with a friend to have a quick brunch. We ordered the following; -Strawberry Matcha latte 4/5 Was refreshing. Their matcha wasn't strong. It was mild and less intense matcha complemented with sweet strawberry syrup. - Pork Lumpia 5/5 It was crispy, hot and savory. - Fish Cake 5/5 It was soft, chewy and mild spicy strips. - popcorn chicken We ordered mild spice because my friend cannot tolerate spicy food. It came spicy. For me, I like spicy food but my friend could not eat it. It was not mild at all. - Sesame Balls 5/5 It was hot and fresh, mochi- like in texture and sweet in the center. The cafe was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was good. I will come back to try more food from the menu.

They also have the standard fully customizable menu with Americanos, cappuccinos, mochas, cold brews, etc. My fiancé chose Pressed + Flower to be our Sunday morning treat, knowing I am a sucker for anything cold and sweet while the sunshine is out. We got a Cold Brew w/ Cold Foam + Pandan Vietnamese Coffee to sit inside. Originally we were just planning for a quick to-go order but decided to stay to enjoy their ambiance. The interior is decked out to be just like their menu - fun and whimsy. Upon entering, I was immediately distracted by all the shoppable decor items like their huge mugs, candles, glassware, stickers, and crocheted animals. See, aren't they fun? I would've stayed in this shoppable section for longer and bought something if I weren't so coffee-deprived, but didn't end up purchasing a crocheted animal, although I really wanted to. I will save this thought for my next visit to make sure I can take one home. They have a variety of comfy chairs, and tables for guests to chill on and take a relaxing break while enjoying their coffee or tea. There are games in the front of the store if you want to entertain yourself with friends and hang out. The staff we interacted with were both friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back to enjoy more of their fun seasonal drinks and next time, I'll stay awhile longer to enjoy more of the ambiance they curated here. :)

We had a disappointing experience here. After spending over $40 on 6 drinks, we wanted to buy a 7th for our daughter, who has allergies and can only have popping boba. We asked if we could purchase just a side of popping boba to accommodate her, offering to cover the cost of a cup, but both employees refused. The lack of empathy, creativity, and willingness to solve a simple customer challenge was underwhelming. This is the only boba shop we've encountered with this kind of rigid approach. Unfortunately, they've lost the support of our family of seven, along with potential referrals from our friends, neighbors, and classmates. ***First Time Review/ but not First Time here*** I'm in love with the TOKYO PISTACHIO MATCHA LATTE. Too bad it doesn't come any bigger than 12oz serving... but then again, they're saving me some calories. Ambience is always chill. Great for studying, having a late night convo or a get together with a group of friends. They even have games to play. This is definitely one of my fave spots to go to.
