What worked: -- quick and friendly service -- great old school vibe, it felt like a cozy space for friends and family to get together --- pretty solid food, the eggs were poached perfectly -- lots of dishes to choose from -- prices are comparable to most other brunch spots, if not slightly cheaper What didn't work: -- in terms for food, there isn't much that makes Bobbi's stand out. After driving past this place sooooo many times over the years we finally had the chance to give it a try! It was a Sunday and we assumed breakfast time might be crowded so we arrived around 8:30 and had the whole place to ourselves. They have a pretty standard breakfast menu with all of the classics, plus some specials like chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. I got my go-to Joe's special and it did not disappoint. The hash browns were also crisp to perfection. My in laws both ordered the corned beef hash and said it was one of the best they've had (and yes it's more like the corned beef out of the can). I came here on a Sunday morning around 10. There was no wait for my family of five. The inside dining area was pretty nice and bright. There are booths as well as stools at the counter to eat. The place felt homey. We ordered a couple omelets, French toast, and pancakes. The omelet was a great portion and delicious. Omelette came with oil float on one side. Tasted as bland as it can. Sub-par coffee that would make Folgers taste like a treat. It's surprising since it's supposed to be a "coffee" shop. Parking is shared with Yamagami's and can be difficult to park during peak hours. Inside, it wasn't too crowded on a late Saturday morning. The food came out insanely fast! I ordered a build your own omelet with bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and onions with an English muffin. For around $16, it was standard in price. Heard great things about the hash browns. However, as you can see from the photo, the omelet was oozing in oil. I had to use an entire napkin to sop up the excess oil. The hash browns were incredibly oily too, not a fan. Cute lowkey place for breakfast/brunch :) The service was amazing, we were seated instantly and the waiter immediately asked what drinks we wanted. He then brought our drinks in honestly 2 minutes. And they were very quick with coffee refills! The coffee was perfect and I only had to wait a brief amount of time for it to be drinking temperature. I ordered a cheddar cheese omelette with spinach, which was just okay. The spinach wasn't wilted, which is how I prefer my spinach omelette to be. It also needed a bit more salt, which is how I noticed the hash browns to be too. But I was so happy at how crispy the hash browns were! My favorite part of the meal was the side pancake that came with it. The batter and texture was SO delicious, it was so fluffy and buttery. At $12/13, the value of this meal is hard to beat! The interior has a cute diner ambiance, with baby blue seats for the booths. There is ample parking as well as there being a bathroom. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking . Customers service was okay , food was alright I say alright because it wasn't great in flavor a bit bland was nice to see they did have some variety for the kids menu for sure . It was an okay experience dinning here . I was pretty annoyed that their restrooms didn't have a diaper changing station so I had to take my baby with me to the car to change him and that was a bit frustrating because my car was parked far due to the fact the stalls infront of the restaurant was occupied. And funny part there was no garbage to be found in the plaza lol so I had to throw away the diaper back to the restaurant inside the restroom garbage. Silky hollandaise over a probably can of corn beef hash (not complaining) and slightly crispy hash browns as that combo is the perfect way to resolve the previous night libations. Nostalgic diner vibes in the corner of Cupertino. We came here early and the waiter was very attentive to us. They offered us water and coffee. I ordered the All American plate. A time warp back into a classic American diner. They have a bunch of cool artwork around the walls. It feels like an old fashion diner with modern amenities. Service was good and the food nice and simple. The hash browns were especially delicious. I got the Denver Omelette which came with a choice of toast, muffin, or pancake. I went with the pancakes. The Denver omelette was surprisingly super light for its size. I thought it had a good balance of cheese on top, ham cubes, onions, and green pepper. I finished my meal feeling ready for the day. It wasn't too light or too heavy of a meal which was surprising. My fiancée got the mickey mouse pancakes and enjoyed it. Our only concern we had was that we were expecting more fruits. The waiter came by pretty quickly took our drink order and came back with it shortly after. We ordered when he came back. I got the Mini Deluxe (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage) and a water. I usually order coffee but already had some that morning so can't tell you the taste. I can tell you that they are on top of the coffee refill which is always a win. Our orders came out several minutes later. When food comes hot off the griddle it's always delicious. Simple pancakes and eggs. The bacon was burnt to a crisp. The sausage flavor was not for me. Overall my meal was a basic breakfast meal. Customer service was fine. He did come out to refill coffee and water and check in. The outside had scattered folded white tables and plastic white chairs. Not much appeal to it. The interior was a different story. I went in to use the restroom which was clean and full of cool stuff on the walls. The inside looks like an old diner. We sat at in a booth by a window and enjoyed all the posters on the walls, but could have easily sat at the counter too. I haven't been here in years, but I saw on NBC three during the pandemic Bobby's ended up doing a cute little car hop trays where diners got to sit and eat in their cars like that they did in the 60s! I decided to have lunch here and to my surprise they had breakfast options for lunch as well! We decided to split our food and our server politely split the omelette on two different plates when he brought them out to us! So thoughtful and sweet!! Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh tasting! The French toast was perfectly crisp and soft on the inside! They have a breakfast menu and a separate lunch menu. I called my order in around 11:30am on a Sunday and was quoted 10 minutes; however, it was closer to a 25 minute wait. They were really busy when I arrived, and I understood why it was a longer wait. I just hope they can set a more accurate timeline for takeout orders so that customers don't have to wait around. At least you can browse around Yamagami's Nursery next door. It could have been an off day for their biscuit and sausage, and I would give the biscuit another try since I love biscuits and gravy. All servers I saw were wearing masks, and they also had hand sanitizer available at the register. I have been going here for years, but only go now when convenient. I'd rather go a little further to the Hash House or to Bill of Fare when I have time. What is driving me away is the awful service! The staff have no idea how to treat customers... when you walk in, they simply ask "how many" or say "sit anywhere". There is no "good morning" or "welcome to Bobbi's". Certainly no "thank you" upon paying the bill at the end. When taking your order, it is a simple "Ready?" The facial expressions are those of boredom and grumpy... never a smile. Such an amazing local gem for breakfast. Our family enjoys coming here for brunch and breakfast. Friendly service, delicious food and generous portions sizes are what stands out here. Their chocolate chip pancake platter is too good. I love their hash browns which literally melt in the mouth. They have both indoor and outdoor seating these days, with appropriate social distancing followed. Parking lot is shared with Yamagami and a big too cramped, but it's a minor issue. So first of all parking is horrible if you go on the weekend. Sharing with the nursery. Had to drive around couple of times to park. And the restaurants was less than half full so all other cars were from the nursery. Food is nothing major, just a regular dinner. Prices are reasonable in this day and age and potion size is ok, not too big not to small. Don't have much flavor on chicken fired steak and eggs. My wife got the party melt but the sever didn't ask how she liked it cooked. This is not a place you have to visit. read more
