Service was very friendly and prompt! We ordered the brisket rolls which were hot and crispy and came with a delicious chipotle sauce for dipping. And we split a rack of baby back ribs and selected the potato salad and the macaroni and cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the macaroni and cheese was creamy and flavorful and potato salad was decent. The menu was a bit on the pricey side but I wasn't mad about it based on the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. My drink, the Drive-In, was superb. This was a very good place to eat. The service was excellent. It was very busy when we went but the food arrived quickly once ordered. We had ribs and I would give them a 3.5 out of 5. Looked on Yelp for somewhere to go for lunch. We had to wait a little bit before being acknowledged by our server but the hostess came by and asked if we'd been served yet, and then not 1 minute later the "manger" on duty came by and offered us a free appetizer for having to wait!! The food was pretty good, pulled pork sandwich and a sliced beef brisket sandwich...the ranch beans were yummy! And then u get free donuts when u leave! Can't be bad eh?! read more

Finally, a great BBQ place in the East Valley. Everything was perfectly delicious! I did like the baby back ribs better than the St. Louis. The burger was huge. The mac and cheese is to die for. They give you free cornbread for the table which was very moist and tasty. Our server, Huntley, was exceptional. The manager, Dan, checked on us and very pleasant and kind. I love Bobby's. This Mesa location is much more convenient than the Phoenix one. I only get the brisket to go. Meat is always perfect. The only thing is that they can sometime be a little stingy on the sauce. Depends on who waits on you. read more

I took my husband to Bobby Q's tonight (October 22nd, 2016) and we thought the food was fantastic and the service was great. I had read reviews where some thought it was good and other's did not. Maybe it depends on what you eat. My husband had the Texas Ribs and I had fried chicken and I can honestly say both were delicious. The Manager came over to see how our food was, the owner checked in with us to make sure our food was good and that we were getting good service. We told them both the food was great and that we were there celebrating my husbands birthday. At the end of our meal they brought him a piece of ice cream cake and I must admit it tasted great even though we didn't eat all of it. You ask why not, because we were too full from our dinner. I should have turned around and walked out. I arrived at 2:15 the restaurant had 4 tables in use. The hostess walked six feet in front of me and never turned her head towards me and just kept saying - it's open seating in the bar. I did not want to sit in the bar. I asked if I could have a booth in the dinning area. She snapped her head and put the menu on the table with an eye roll. They never said they do not honor happy hour outside of the bar area. My waitress was prompt but, then entered my brisket meal wrong... twice. It arrived dry and had a tiny drizzle of bbq sauce. I waited 10 minutes after receiving my food before my waitress came back so I could ask for more BBQ sauce as they don't leave any on the table. I also had to ask my waitress for corn bread as it was not brought to my table. Don't waste your time for this $15 lunch too many other options in the area. My sons and I have been fans of Bobby Q's since we first visited the one off I-17, but it was about a 45-minute drive away, depending on traffic. Imagine how thrilled I was to know one just opened 15 minutes down the street from me! In a word, the food is amazing. We always get the Q-Rolls to start (two platters) and the cornbread. My eldest son gets the babyback ribs and fries. My youngest son likes to change it up, but he really likes the Southern Fried Chicken. Our favorite sides are the roasted corn and ranch beans. The beans have shreds of beef or pork, and they are to DIE for. My favorite is their 8-oz top sirloin, because to be honest, it's just as good as any higher-priced steak they have. Medium is perfect, and so tender. We always have plenty of leftovers, and always take them home, along with the mini-cinnamon donuts. Always have an after-dinner coffee because wherever they get it, it's a phenomenal roast (and I'm a coffee snob). The wait staff is top-notch and very attentive! The three of us can spend $100 with the appetizers, entrees and a beer each, but it's worth EVERY penny. We will be regulars!! read more

This was my first time at Bobby-Q and i was extremely happy with my experience. From the moment you walk in the door you are greated with a smile by all of the hostesses. Our waitress was awesome and very personable, i wish i would have caught her name, i was there 10/21/16 at around 3pm if that helps. The manager, Taylor, was very kind and was going around to all of the customers making sure they were happy. He is one of the best managers I have encountered!
