So Yum!

You know I had to get their iconic pumpkin bagels after I saw it trending on tiktok! To my surprise it's right next to my home! What a win! The pumpkin bagels tasted like a regular bagel, but like a cooler one "I'm not a regular bagel, I'm a cool bagel" Its bright orange color and shape was so perfect for a fall brunch!

We found our new bagel place! Even the $2.97 half dozen bag of day old bagels were amazing. These bagels are crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside, just like NYC. They also don't skimp on the cream cheese. Regulars

Been here many times, can't believe I haven't done a review. We order online to customize for quick pick up. Fam likes the bfast sandwiches, pescatarian daughter gets the Nova Lox. I love their honey walnut cream cheese but try to resist when on diet. Have also ordered some seasonal platters like for Vday - they bring a creative spin on boring bagels. Good coffee, only complaint- they don't have ice Chai Latte (only hot). Friendly service, nice seating area just to sit & slow down.

Go to another bagel place. They put my bagel together so sloppy. Didn't even taste good.

The ambiance of this place is a chill vibe you could take friends or kids. Not really a date vibe, but their bagels are really good. I got the pizza bagel which was excellent and the breakfast bagel with sausage egg and bacon. The service was excellent and they were very nice. Their cookies were also very good. Overall think their bagels are a bit pricey, however they are great.

I really wanted to love Bobby's Bagel Cafe. As a celiac who is severely allergic to dairy, I have limited options when it comes to bread and especially bagels. I heard about Bobby's in a gluten free forum and decided to give them a try. When we finally found the store (difficult because there is no obvious signage (yes, this was a Chesapeake Bagel Bakery, so cross contamination beware) except for a small paper on the door. You don't even realize it's open because the lights aren't on in front and the few people that were there were sitting in darkness. The store looked like it was condemned, the bathrooms had homemade not in service signs and the floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. The front had the bagel offerings and the gluten free ones were individually wrapped in plastic wrap. The person working didn't know if they were all vegan but took a guess (and based on reviews I read I knew which were). I bought two, but the pricing was ... ridiculous. Total was $9.50 for two bagels (no fillings, not toasted, just the bagels.) I can order from the mecca of gluten free bagels in New York for cheaper than that... Were they good? Yes. Would I come back? Not to this location and really only to the other two if I was out and really ill prepared and hungry. Not the type of business I want to support.

Pumpkin bagel with cream cheese

Went here for the (5$) pumpkin shaped bagel & ($2.50) cream cheese. Prices were pretty steep. The place didn't look very hygienic, there was a dead bug on my table. The place could definitely use a remodel. I also got the chipotle chicken panini which I saw them heat up in a microwave. It wasn't very good at all, I ended up throwing most of it away.

Reindeer sausage, egg, and cheese $7.99 PLUS $3.99 for the bagel itself

We gave them a chance despite their reviews, as our typical bagel place closed early today. Don't make our mistake. The restaurant looks unkept. You can pick up the "fully cooked" bacon on any grocery shelf. The sausage was high school cafeteria grade. Although the bagels were cute, just don't do it. There was little to no flavor. Extremely overpriced. Oh, and they forgot two of our bagels.

Really good bagel, even if all of the spices fall of off the everything. It was like a baked everything bagel. Still tasty.

The roll was reminiscent of a Philly sub roll, which - now this may be polarizing - is the standard by which I judge all sub rolls. Philadelphia just has the best subs ;) Anyway - they use good deli meats here. I don't think they make their own fries, but they were nice and crispy with a bit of seasoning on them and went well with our sandwiches. My husband had the cheesesteak and said it was just meh - definitely steak-ums - but we are from the self-proclaimed cheesesteak capital of the world :) Don't pass up the dessert case though - I am not a sweets person, but they had this triple cheese thing that was like a cheese danish, but with a million times more cheese and just a little bit of pastry, we... uhhh... devoured it... It paired really nice with their house chocolate gelato, which was the definition of rich, decadent chocolate. The lady at the register was kind enough to allow us to try a side-by-side of the house and the machine gelato... word of advice... skip the machine, go with the house gelato - the flavor (and the serving size) knocks that name-brand, machine mumbo jumbo out of the park :) Honestly, just a great sandwich joint with a little store selling specialty items, many of which are from Italy (I will be back for some squid ink pasta the next time I am cooking for friends!). Lovely little gem :)

Since I was already in Fairfax, I finally had the chance to stop by Ned's New England Deck for lunch. I'd noticed they served whole belly clams, and I hadn't had them in years--not since my last trip to Maine, where my mom was from. Growing up, we spent summers there, and whole belly clams were always one of my favorite treats. They're almost impossible to find here in the DMV. I have to admit, I've had plenty of experiences where I get excited to try something and it ends up being disappointing. That definitely wasn't the case here. The fried whole belly clam platter was absolutely delicious. The clams were perfectly cooked, and the portion was generous enough that I saved the coleslaw for later. Yes, seafood is expensive, but this meal was worth it. The staff made the experience even better. The gentleman taking orders was genuinely kind. While I waited for my takeout order, he offered me a glass of water, which was especially appreciated after a busy morning of volunteering. It's a small gesture, but those little acts of kindness make a difference. The restaurant itself is charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and it reminded me of the casual seafood places I remember from Maine. They even have a fun promotion where you can roll dice for a chance to upgrade your lobster roll, which I thought was a nice touch. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Fairfax. If you've been looking for authentic whole belly clams in the DMV, this is the place to go.

The food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the down east lobster roll, and the north shore beef sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and of high quality. It was the most relaxing and delicious meal out we've had in a long time.

I could see this being a nice spot to go to on a regular basis just to grab a quick bite and vibe. I did not grab any food this time but I did order the caramel latte. Whenever I go to a coffee shop to order a drink, I am quickly reminded that I have no idea what I'm talking about. The lady helping me at the counter was so patient and helpful. I was going to try the Cherry Blossom latte but decided not to stray too much from what I'm used to. The iced caramel latte with oat milk was so good. It felt like I drunk it in two sips.
