This is the best burrito place in Pasadena. In my opinion it easily tops Tops, Lucky Boys, and Toms. Spudrito or straight breakfast burrito, you won't be disappointed. Get some hot sauce inside of it, and you'll be right as rain. Don't sleep on the French Cheeseburger either, it is the right kind of savory, and actually not too greasy. What a great spot! Called early in the morning for two breakfast burritos and they were ready as soon as I arrived, the man who took my order was so friendly too- wanted to make sure the burritos didn't get cold. I got one bacon and one sausage- I loved each component and how they...interacted lol. The potatoes were fresh and cooked perfectly, small wedges. Hot sauce tied it all together and they included extra on the side, just in case. I live walking distance from Lucky Boy, and would much rather head north a few minutes for one of these (and $4 cheaper!). Great value and quality. read more

Really good little burger/taco stand that has moved indoors with seating and air conditioning. Parking is behind the building, and the lot has plenty of space. Service is prompt and attentive, if a bit light on the fake cheerfulness that defines most customer service experiences. I don't miss the fake smiles, and the staff gets their job done efficiently. I come here primarily for the ground beef-based Mexican food. It's not authentic, but it's delicious and the homemade hot sauce is excellent. The taco bowl is the best item and a lot of food - two can share it easily. If you tackle it by yourself, you'll need a big appetite. The burritos are also terrific. The house-made refried beans are some of the best around. If you get a burger, I'd recommend the "French cheeseburger," which isn't really French but does come on grilled sourdough bread that elevates the whole thing. Ma & Pa burger joint? Yup, that's exactly what it is. My husband loves going here for breakfast burritos; but can a spuderito even be a breakfast burrito? Spuderito is defined as a burrito with meat, French Fries, cheese, and hot sauce that isn't all the hot. If you want to take it to the next level, I'd recommend adding beans to it. Bobby's makes a very fine burger. Despite a cheeseburger being fairly easy to make, many places do a good job at messing it up. Bobby's is not one of those places. By no means is it the best burger but it is doing its civic duty of supporting the foundation of what a burger should be. Not the best but far from being the worst. This place seems like it gets pretty busy and it was new so i decided to stop by and try their food. It was okay to be completely honest it was nothing special that stands out. I ordered a protein burger and they had no idea what that was and said they couldn't make it for me . I have never had such a rude and disrespectful customer service experience in my life. I should have read the bad reviews about the lady at the front before coming in. I ordered a breakfast burrito and there was not cheese mentioned anywhere on the menu for that item so I did not think of mentioning to remove it for my lactose intolerance. Knowing my restriction, I usually check to menu if dairy or cheese is listed. When I got my order, I saw the cheese so I came back to request it without cheese and apologized. The lady looked mad at me and asked "So you want a replacement? You don't want to like order another one?". I asked for a replacement bc of my dietary restriction and she made me apologize again. She then told me "next time, you should tell us these things beforehand", rolled her eyes and then took my old order and started talking smack about me to the rest of the staff in the kitchen in front of me extremely loud for everyone else to hear. Saying things like "she probably did this one purpose. Can you believe it?"and going on and on about how she was mad at me and having everyone in the kitchen look at me. She then started yelling smack about the customer in front of me as well for asking to remove an item from his order before paying because he realized he didn't have enough cash. Saying "Can't you guys read the menu?". She went on to angrily complain about us right in front of us in the kitchen. When my order was done, she took it to the front and muttered "no cheese" and threw it on the counter. I've been coming here since I was 5 years old with my dad and he's been going here since he was just about a teenager with his dad. I remember hearing a long time ago ricks was closing and I was devastated because I loved getting the beef burrito and that spot meant a lot to me. Not sure how this place got 4 stars! I placed n order with Ubereats today. I requested a cup of ice, because lemonade is never really cold. No cup of ice. Home of the Spuderito, a bundle of toothsome French Fries smothered in a hot tomato stew gringo style taco sauce with an optional injection of a delicious homemade hot sauce, lettuce and cheese thrown in for good measure. I called order hero and they confirm they are affiliated with Bobby's and will refund me if I did not pick up the order. PLEASE HELP ME CHANGE THIS REVIEW. My uncle grew up in Chicago listening to Steve Dahl talk about this place on the radio/podcasts for the past 40 YEARS. He visited me for the weekend from Kansas and when I asked what he wanted to do his first time in LA the one thing he said was try a beef burrito from Bobby's Place. He even knew the directions about how to best reheat a frozen Bobby's Place burrito from listening to Steve so much. We made the trek from Long Beach to Pasadena for this burrito, I even ordered it online to make sure they were open, and we got there and it was inexplicably CLOSED. We had already paid for burritos and there was no explanation about why they were closed, online it said they were open. We headed back to the airport burrito-less for my uncle to return home.
