First of all the shop is cute! Had swing seats, but disclaimers said not to swing on the set... it was highly tempting. Pink overload in the store! Order the matcha latte with the recommended 75% sweetness. It was good, I normally prefer my matcha sweet, so I should have stuck with the 100 percent. But still good none the less. The stir fried boba was good! Different taste to it than how normal boba is cooked. To get my drink felt a little long, although we did go there around 8ish. read more

Had to make a stop at Home Depot and I was super thirsty. I randomly saw this place in passing, and I am so glad I did!! Ordered online. Ready in five minutes (or less!). When I went to pick up, they ran out of the box of eight plain mochi donuts, so they helped us by switching it to six variety box, which was totally fine with us. I'm actually glad they did because the flavors looked so fun! Got two of their famous brown sugar bobas for hubby and me, and a box of six variety mochi donuts - horchata, funnel, black sesame, cookies and cream, taro, and birthday cake! The mochi and boba drinks are so delicious and the venue is super cute - love the pink floral decor, neon lights, white marble, cute pink chairs, and little ceiling wooden swings to sit on! Side note: I am happy mochi is implemented in this way - a way where everyone can taste both mochi and donuts in one bite, and understand the delicious taste of rice cake. Not only does it make the donut more flavorful and dense, it brings recognition to the Asian American communities and I truly love that. I remember when I was in high school and my mom would pack me the cutest mini heart-shaped colorful homemade mochis she made by hand for dessert, but I was so embarrassed to eat them in front of classmates because they would make fun of me and tell me how "gross" and "mushy" it looked. I placed an online order for pickup, they refused to give me my order even though I had email confirmation showing that I placed it because she "didn't want to get fired for giving out a free drink". Her story was apparently Bober was bought out by another company or person, idk if it's a franchise. She didn't have access to the online orders and they said I had to order another one in person. They gave me a phone number on a napkin and told me to "call this number to get a refund" 916-850-5694. Call for yourselves, it's generic voice mailbox that I keep getting. They told me it was the new person in charge and that was what they were told to do. I'm going to be reaching out to Better Business Bureau either under Bober or the new company and making a formal complaint. That's straight robbery. read more

We always make it a point to swing by Bober every time I'm craving for something sweet. I'm not really a fan of mochi donuts but definitely had a change of heart when I tried theirs. It is very simple and it will also tell you that for a regular drink, they offer the $1 mochi. I had their Signature Mung Bean Pandan Latte topped with edible rose. I love love love this boba place. The decor inside is soooo instagramable. The walls are covered in pink flowers, there's neon signs, swing seats, AND a cute small ball pit for kids to play in. It's self order on a giant tablet. Lots of options for how you want your boba done, including choice of sweetness, multiple different kinds of drinks, and toppings. There's even a really cute boba champagne bottle option. The layout for the order station is kinda cramped but the rest of the place is spacious. Let me just tell you... these Japanese donuts are delicious. There are always many to choose from... it's also a great item to bring for a birthday at work. The whole process of ordering online and picking up at the store was super breezy. Was able to choose different flavors such as green tea, ube, cookies and cream, churro, white powdered sugar, s'mores and my favorite the fruity pebbles with glaze. Very easy to break apart and share if you want to try different flavors. They are perfectly baked, where they were nice and firm on the outside but chewy and soft on in the inside. You can get a dozen for $28, it's a bit pricey for doughy sugar but for special occasions.. why not. I decided to give this location a try. I have conflicted feelings. The tea was weak, I couldn't really taste it. I really liked the brown sugar konjac jelly, very good flavor. I will give their black milk tea a try to see if that's stronger, but a roasted oolong should be able to be made strong, the other milk tea spots I've been to manage to do it. I think if they get their tea game going with strength it could be good. The gripe I have is they put SO MUCH ice. The whole cup was full of ice and I didn't see a way to adjust the ice level. If they don't allow us to adjust ice the least they can do is not fill the entire cup, in the end the amount of tea was so tiny. Not worth it if that's how they keep it up. The place is covered in pink flowers, they have swings, and I feel like some people will be into that. I don't care about that piece tbh, I just want good quality tea and a tasty drink. The boba is so soft chewy and just delicious, trust! I can't go back to regular boba offerings at other places. QUALITY & QUANTITY Despite the prices of the drinks, they are good and worth it. The service are welcoming when customers come in. The ambiance of the tea shop is bright. It's mixed with different shades of pink and neon light signs. They have Instagram worthy photos you can take on the swing or by their mini ball pit. Not too sure if kids can play in it, but I did see a little boy play around when I was there. They also provide mochi donuts with many variety of flavors to try. Not only this is the location for locals, but I believe they have one in Walnut Creek and Sacramento because I visited those areas but have not left my personal yelp review. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this spot! It was so easy to get here from either Hwy 4 or I680. Upon my entrance to the plaza there were plenty of parking near the shop and also behind the shop. I came early for the grand opening and it was already so busy! What an awesome turnout. Despite the line, I got my drink and orders very quickly. Very efficient for only being open for a week They were very helpful to provide any suggestions and also answer any questions I had. Service was great! We also got a free drink as a promotion for the day! I love how there is caffeinated & non-caffeinated options. I also love that we actually see the fresh stir fried boba being cooked in brown sugar right in front of us. I'm very picky with how boba is cooked and this is by far the best tasting boba I had in awhile. The place smelled great. Right from the start It was super easy to navigate through their kiosk to order which boba drinks and mochi doughnuts I wanted. I definitely was very impressed by the insta worthy decor. There were gorgeous pink flowers everywhere, four swings to sit in and even a mini ball pit. My daughter had a blast while we hung out and she even made friends. Few things so keep in mind about bober tea martinez: - never check expiration dates - if something is expired, will still use to not loose money -unfair pay, and treatment -no sick pay/pto/literally no care in the world for the employees - employer/boss was and is never there, and because of this nothing is checked nor cleaned - food storage is disgusting -never cleaning front main lobby, super unsanitary - food prep is unsanitary - food does not even taste good - trash talk certain workers to other employees -moldy drinks would still be served to customers, by the bosses request -0/10 never recommend read more

This is such a cute Boba place in Martinez and I don't mind driving the 10-15 minutes to come here. The decor is the cutest here as they have pink flowers surrounding you on the walls as you walk through the door and in the back they have like a ball play area for the kids & not to mention the swings they have while you wait. Very picture worthy! The drinks here are good & the mochi donuts are just so delicious that I can't wait to try every flavor! The only reason I knocked off a star is because you can only order through the kiosk that's on the left hand side when you walk into the establishment. It is tricky as they don't have menu's and if you press back to want to look at other items then your order will get lost and will have to start over. After a couple of times you get used to it but not sure how people who aren't very techy can order as it can be confusing. Next time I'll just try to order ahead which may be easier. read more
