We have been going here for about 20 years. We started getting slices, but now we buy a whole pie to share with our two hungry keiki. The pizza dough is fresh and tasty and the toppings taste great! My fave is the spinach, garlic and tomato slice. There is an assortment of bottled drinks (Hawaiian Sun, ginger ale, and fruit drinks as well as a fountain soda). They also offer a basic salad. Can't top Bob's Pizzeria for a great slice of pizza. Located in Kailua Square, it's definitely one of my musts when I'm in the area and probably one of my favorite pizza spots. I love the fact that their slices are HUGE. They're bigger than my face! We ordered a slice of cheese and spinach garlic tomato as well as a spinach garlic calzone. It was pizza heaven! Everything is warmed up when you order so your food comes to you at the optimal level of consumption. The pizza is so thin and crispy! Their cheese pizza has the perfect ratio of sauce and cheese, and the spinach garlic tomato is a lighter option compared to those topped with meat. Tomatoes as a pizza topping are amaaaaazing. If you love cheese, I highly recommend a calzone. It's completely stuffed with ooey gooey cheese. If I could give this place half a star I would. Pizza looked about 3 days old and I didn't listen to my instincts. Even during placing my order, the lady insisted on having an attitude and throwing her hands up in the air when I asked for another slice after she had already put ours in the oven to heat up. That was the first straw. As soon as I took a bite out of the pizza I could tell it had been sitting for at LEAST a couple of days in their refrigerator or wherever they put the leftover pizza. Stopped by for a slice after getting shave ice two doors down, wasn't expecting to be completely blown away! quick little shop with boston style slices. each slice is ¼ of a full pizza, large enough to share! they have a variety of slice options available- yesterday they had cheese, pepperoni, veggie, spinach and garlic, and a daily special. I ordered a slice of the spinach and garlic, they heat it up in the pizza oven and then it's yours. I can't speak higher of the spinach and garlic pizza. It was so perfectly garlicky, you could actually taste it, which I love. whirl I don't usually enjoy cooked spinach on a pizza, it wasn't stringy or wilted, it was almost crispy like when you "fry" kale, so each bite perfectly broke off in your mouth. the crust was a great medium thick with nice flavor. overall I am blown away by that slice of pizza and will compare many future pizzas to it. read more

Ever since Boston's pizza departed from this side of Kailua not long after Blockbuster (RIP Blockbuster), I have been searching for another pizza place that can compete. (I know that there is a Boston's pizza in Aikahi loop, I'm just incredibly lazy). I always forget that Bob's exists since I'm not much of a beachgoer. But when my parents were craving a simple pizza dinner, I immediately suggested that we tried Bob's. The pizza is huge -- it can easily feed 8 people. They have a variety of topping combinations. We opted with half black olive & pepperoni and half sausage & mushroom but I highly recommend any of their pre-made topping combinations. While it can sometimes get a little expensive, this pizza is definitely worth the price. The slices are huge (1/4 a pie), and absolutely delicious. The pizza here is amazing! We went to Kailua Beach Adventures to play for the day and Bob's pizzeria was one of the options for lunch. It smelled really good when we arrived and I was pretty sure we wanted to get pizza after we were finished. I am very happy we did! There was a Boston style pizzeria I used to go to in Bremerton, Washington and this pizza was very similar, except for the crust seemed more New York style to me but it was excellent! I would definitely recommend coming to this place if you're in the area and you want some good pizza. We just did the reheat pizza and even that was incredible so I know that the fresh pizza would be simply amazing! You can't go wrong with this place, great food and great staff. read more

Thank you to places like Bob's, that itch of home gets scratched! No nonsense, simple, and delicious, that's Bob's. Located on Kailua Rd., just off the beach, Bob's sits in a little shopping center. The restaurant is simply a counter, a menu where you personalize everything, and some drink stands. All the seating is outdoor on the patio; tables have red and white checkered table clothes, umbrellas, and twinkle lights for night. The family hails from Boston, so the pizza has that flair. Thin dough, savory sauce, and cheese. All toppings cost the same, simply pay for the number you order. They are also large; one pizza is enough for 2 or 3 people. The restaurant is also BYOB, so be sure to fill up a growler of your favorite beer at one of the nearby breweries for the perfect Kailua combination. They also have chicken wings (which I didn't love), calzones, and other pizza joint staples. Parking is free and ample. It offers a nice view of the mountains and stays relatively cool depending on the wind. Restrooms are shared with the complex. Be patient when waiting and ordering, the place does get busy for take out, but rest assured, your pies will come! read more

We ordered a pepperoni pizza , bobs special , and 24 wings . Paid around $85. We were a party of 10. The food was great. My favorite were the wings ! They were perfectly grilled and didn't even need the sauce for them to taste good. Delicious ! The plan was to originally take the pizzas to go and take the bus back to Waikiki. After ordering the food we realized we would miss the bus so we decided to just eat calmly and take the next hour bus. My sister went to ask for napkins and plates and before she was able to ask the girl at the counter lol it's the pig tails , short black hair immediately commented to my sister if we were eating there . My sister said yes and the girl asked my sister to bring the already used pizza boxes so they can reuse to boxes. Had we not yet grabbed pizza already from the boxes ,, we would have been okay with. My sister was confused and the girl turned her back to my sister so she didn't feel comfortable asking for napkins or plates. When my sister let me know what happened I went to ask for them and she gave them to me . The pizza was great .. so I'm still leaving a 4 out of 5.. the service was awkward and kind of rude. Their portions are quite large - one slice is effectively the size of two normal slices. I had the pepperoni and my wife had the spinach garlic pepperoni. Both were delicious - especially the spinach garlic variety. Nothing particularly unique about this place -- just a solid spot to grab a (huge) slice. The service was quick and no-nonsense. A 3-topping slice is almost $8 but it's enough to fill you up after a day at the beach. Super casual, you line up to order then hope to find one of the outdoor tables (no indoor seating available). Not a whole lot of tables, so take your chances when you roll up. Plenty of parking! We were going to try the wings but they were sold out by 5:30 on a Sunday night. Womp womp womp. HYPES: 1 slice of pizza is literally a quarter of a whole pizza. It's HUGE. Too big to fit on the plates. I got the spinach and garlic pizza and I was debating on buying another slice to take home for dinner! Yummy crust and cheese! Also wasn't very expensive and they have a good selection of different types of pizza. It's reminiscent of the pizza I tried in New York. And it's right there in freakin Kailua! Alleluia! They're quick, friendly and have a nice little seating area just outside. The birds are there, but they honestly didn't bother me too much. Not a bad place for a slice of pizza. The owner is a great guy and very talkative about Kailua or whatever else you want to talk about. The pizza slices are comparable to Bostons' Pizza, which isn't too far by car either. Their calzones are better than the slices, packed with meat and need no sauce. If you're afraid of oil, stay far away though. The best thing about this place is it's location. Right near Kailua beach and a shave ice store, it's definitely available for any beach-goer who gets the pizza cravings. Location can't save you from being just average though. This is the closest pizza in Hawaii that resembles anything that you will find in either New York or Boston. Large 19", thin crust pizza with a wide assortment of toppings. The sauce is a little more salty, compared to Boston North end (by the way, I remember when Bob was part of that company). We normally order the Bob's Special, which is a supreme and add anchovies! Yum :) The best thing about this restaurant is their location, across the street from Kailua Beach, and next door to Island Snow! Seating is outdoors on a spacious deck. read more

I was confused... and when I asked if they were serious about wanting the boxes back, the employee just gave me a frustrated look and walked away from me... and then other employees just threw us dirty looks from the counter the entire time we were eating (maybe not tourist friendly?)... Whenever I'm Kailua , I love to stop by bobs for a slice then head to island snow. During my stay , it was late so I ordered a pizza and some wings. Called around 7pm. The girl that answered my phi e call quickly told me after I stated that I wanted to place an order that it was going to take 1hr -1 hr 15 for my order. I was really craving bobs so I placed it. I asked if 8 was okay to pick it up. She said yes. Got there at 745. Thank goodness I did. When I got to the car I took a slice , it was cold ! Not even warm. My wings cold ! If she didn't want to take my order, just say so ! There were at least 15 boxes of pizzas on the counter when I picked mine up. Who knows if those were cold as well.
