Perfection! Well, we've been sheltering-in-place for a few months now. Our big plans to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday on a beach in the Southern Caribbean have been put on hold. Backup plan, takeout from Bob's. Most of our experiences with takeout from established, sit down restaurants have been less than memorable. But not from Bob's, they didn't miss a thing. Every dish was as perfect as it is when you enjoy it in their dinning room. Every garnish, sauce, and topping was included, even the cherry-sours offered as you leave their restaurant. We enjoyed a most memorable six course meal of bread/butter, assorted shrimp platter, tomato & mozzarella salad, crab cakes, filet mignon sided by their classic glazed carrot (as big as a plate) and skillet potatoes topped with gravy with its promised kick, and a huge slice of their decadent chocolate cake. They even included a box of matches to light the candle that topped the cake, literally. The only thing we had to add was our 11 year old waiter complete with a white shirt and tie. Truly delicious! I was finally came to check out Bob's for dinner. We had reservations as it was my hubby's birthday. Sarah was an awesome waitress. She was very attentive and very friendly. The bread and butter that comes in the beginning is really good. The bread comes out piping hot. We started off with the wedge which was fantastic. If you like blue cheese, there was plenty on the salad. As my meal I ordered the 9 oz Filet Mignon. It was just okay. There wasn't enough seasoning and they do undercook so my steak was a bit on the Medium side. The smashed potatoes were decent but I've had better. We ended our meal with their carrot cake. The cake comes out warm and it was decent. What I really liked was the peanut butter ice cream that Sarah brought out for me! We had a good time here cause the service was on point. They do have a cigar room for those that want to smoke a cigar and have a drink. Oh don't forget to get some jelly beans that's out in the front! read more

Food was ok, but service was terrible and selective, especially if you are not a regular customer. Went there for my birthday dinner, and it took forever about 25 minutes for a server to take our order or at least say hello. She spent more time( taking orders, drinks, social conversations) on the table next to us (regular customers) considering we were seated before them. Finally took our order, waited for a while, before our food was delivered and missing the salad that I ordered. Told her about the missing salad and I thought she had it noted. I asked my family to go ahead and eat their entree since the steak might no longer be fresh and warm. I patiently wait for 15 minutes while my family are enjoying their food. I told another server about my salad since our server is nowhere in sight and with her regular customers. The other server told us that the order was not placed and promise to get it right away. My family is done with their dinner, my entree was already cold, and salad came just in time for my daughter to get a dessert. Not happy with that so I politely ask for our check so we can leave right away. It took about 15 minutes to get the check and a while before we could leave. I asked for the manager and they could not find him. Instead, they gave me his business card. As soon as we got home, I called the manager to inform him about our experience. Of course, he defended his server since she has a lot of loyal customers and has been getting good feedback. I guess she draws big amounts of gratuities from these customers. I also wrote an email to the general manager about our experience,but did not get any response at all! So if you are a first timer or maybe someone that does not look like you can afford this place or give good tip, then go somewhere else where you can be welcomed and get great service! read more

Bob's is, concisely summarized, a wooden man-cave of carnivorous and exquisitely fermented pleasures. Need to celebrate a birthday? an anniversary? just celebrating your being a red-blooded American with an insatiable hankering for red meat? Bob's is an excellent, and I mean excellent venue for your next night out when you have steak and fine wine on the brain. Bob's is right off 114 on Main St in Grapevine. It's in a little complex shared with Winewood and Fireside Pies. The construction off 114 is notoriously awful, but is improving and not something that should keep you from coming over and trying it out. The place as I said is floor to ceiling in rich wood, white table cloths and visible wine storage which makes for a refined and cozy atmosphere; it's exactly what I want in this type of restaurant. Last in, I ordered the "tomahawk" 28 ounce rib-eye. It was a mammoth, bone in steak, but cooked perfectly to order throughout. Like all top-notch steakhouses, everyone's steaks came out cooked perfectly to order. Nothing ruins a trip to a nice steakhouse like a steak that comes out over/under cooked, but from my experience, Bob's makes sure this doesn't happen. An unexpected highlight for me is the homemade pickles in a glass jar on each table. "You mean I can pick my own pickle out of a jar at the table while still looking classy?" What a boring name for a great steakhouse. It should be called, well, I don't know what it should be called, but "Bob's"??? Okay, that's the only negative thing I have to say about this place. Incredible steaks! Sure, the sides are great, too, but ya don't go to Bob's for the sides. Mixed drinks taste like they should. Extensive wine list that will triple your bill. The only bad thing about Bob's and any other high-end steak house I frequent is the noise level. Once the place fills up, you really have to speak up to be heard. My family ate here on Mother's Day with family. We had flowers delivered a head of time which were supposed to be on table upon arrival. When we got there, the hostess asked if we wanted a table or a booth. At first thought, this was very confusing, as we already asked for a booth and reservation. My dad and I looked at each-other concerned that the flowers had not arrived or they didnt know they were for us. Why would you ask what we wanted for a table, if there's supposed to be flowers already on one? When we arrived at our booth, as predicted, no flowers. It's not a huge deal, as flowers were in the building, but it ruined to element of surprise when my dad had to ask for the flowers on front of my mom. Kind of a crappy way to start off Mother's Day. I'm a huge foodie and understand mistakes happen so we ordered our wine And carried on. No sense in some disorganization ruin our day. From a foodie stand point, this place is your typical steak house. Over priced steaks and lackluster service. This is one thing that's always confused me. If you're going to be in category of $$$$, your service should reflect that. At Bobs this is not the case. The fire time between apps and entrees was a huge gap which dragged on. And we were also charged for our second glass of wine which was suppose to be different from the first. Asked for a Pinot noir and received a Cab. Lol If you can't remember an order of one glass of wine, maybe write everything down?? Makes sense to me. I won't completely bash this place as the steaks were cooked pretty good. I don't mind paying this much for meals at all, but I expect it to be spot on. Service, quality and freshness. The menu says fresh vegetables. They're clearly either frozen or prepped a few days in advance. That's not "fresh" guys. I've been to all the Bobs spots. None of them are really that impressive, but this one needs a total make over from a dining stand point. read more

Best steak ever! My hubby brought me here for our anniversary. We arrived early for our reservation so we sat at the bar. They had a stocked bar with a huge variety. There was a fire going in a lounge area so made the restaurant smell of a campfire which to me is a comfortable lovely smell. When we sat down the servers were very attentive and the waitress was especially nice. They served bread right away and had a jar of pickles and peppers already on the table for you to eat. There is a server for pretty much every job; water refills, salads, food, dessert, etc. The waitress asked if we were celebrating anything special and we said it was our anniversary. A while later the manager came over and congratulated us, gave us some advice and told us to save room for dessert because it would be on them! Unexpected and very nice! The food was more than words can say! So amazing! I ordered their special of wagyu beef that came with a choice of potato(mashed, baked, or fried). I got the fried! It also came with a cinnamon glazed carrot also delicious. It was my first time trying wagyu beef and let me tell you it was like butter in my mouth. It had a great seasoning and it just melted as I ate it. By far the best steak I've ever had. My husband ordered the Kansas City strip steak which was maybe 15 oz. seasoned well, cooked perfectly and delicious. The dessert we choose was the banana nut rum bread pudding! It was rich and delicate and superb! We also added a scoop of ice on top.. I mean why not? This place is pricey and the menu is not extensive; mostly fish and beef. There were a few pork and lamb dishes but not much. The place was busy and had a friendly atmosphere. Attire was flexible. There were people dressed up but there were people wearing jeans and polo shirts. This is a must go to place because it will not disappoint! read more

I specifically chose Bob's in Grapevine Saturday evening before Valentine's hoping for less of a crowd and ability to get reservations a couple weeks in advance. I was wrong, there were so many people waiting, the walkway to the bar was like trying to make your way through a club. My reservation was for 7:45pm, I was seated at 9pm... Thank god for alcohol.... This was my second visit to Bob's, first time was the Legacy location where I didn't see what the hype was about. I remembered my Ribeye tasting like butter, and just butter, but the texture being great and the carrots gave a nice touch. This time I decided to give the Ribeye another shot (being my favorite cut of meat). I requested medium rare plus, steak came out moreso medium plus.... I usually wouldn't send food back, but I had just waited over an hour for a steak and I wanted to be completely satisfied with it. The waitress gave a very good balance of attentiveness and privacy, she made sure my steak was recooked medium rare, and it came back cooked perfect. My date ordered the filet, after I had a taste of hers, I think everyone should order the filet at Bob's... Perfect texture, juiciness, flavor, I now know why Bob's is considered the best in Dallas, not so much for their Ribeye but more for their Filet. I'm not really big on the filet in general, but from now when I return to Bob's, I will order the filet. That's right.... WHEN I return. read more

This particular restaurant is a great example of specious dining. I must preface this review by stating that I've eaten at the Bob's Steak & Chop House in downtown Fort Worth, and that place was excellent. However, this particular location was less satisfactory. It is very pretty, with excellent decor and great presentation, but the food was lacking in taste and quality. The service was also less than what I would expect from dining at a place with these prices. I took my wife for a late (February 16) Valentine's Day dinner, and we were promptly seated, despite the establishment mistaking my Open Table reservation for 5 pm instead of 6 pm. I showed them my email confirmation showing that it was 6 pm, and they found a table for us immediately. After sitting we were pleasantly introduced to our waitstaff, who kept our glasses full of water and brought some delicious bread out very quickly. My wife ordered the calamari appetizer, which was fair in taste. I had the shrimp bisque, which was creamy and filling, but not outstanding. We split a wedge salad, which unfortunately did not arrive until after main course. My wife had the filet, which she requested butterflied but did not arrive so, and I had the pork chops, which were unfortunately rather high in gristle content, and tasted rather "pork-y" Not a very pleasant flavor. The split wedge salad arrived after we had our main course, as stated above, and was acceptable. They did comp us a creme brulee for the salad arriving so late, which was nice. My feeling is that if we are to pay rather high prices for quality food and service, we should expect so. If I were at a lesser restaurant, the food would have been acceptable, but not when the bill exceeded triple digits for two people, without alcohol consumption. Here's the quick scoop on Bob's Steak & Chop House: This place would be perfectly fine if the prices didn't put it in the market with competition that blows it out of the water. It's a $20-per-person experience at $100-per-person prices. I love a good steak, but even more than that I love a good steakhouse, and I'm more than willing to spend the money on a place that will go the extra mile to distinguish itself in both its ambiance and its menu selection, and in that regard I have made little fuss over the expense of eating at some truly special restaurants, such as Bohannan's or Pappas Bros., or even Vic & Anthony's, where spending a couple hundred dollars on dinner for two is de rigueur. The biggest problem with Bob's is that I spent a similar amount of money as would at those other places, but didn't get anywhere near the same experience. To be fair, the food was actually fairly good. The wife's filet was well-cooked (if under-seasoned) and we both enjoyed our potatoes (her's was au gratin, mine was "smashed"), but the green beans we ordered at additional cost were basically raw; fresh, but barely cooked, and seasoned with little other than butter. My ribeye was also well-cooked, but otherwise unimpressive. My wife's martini was better than average (and at $11 it should be), but my Old Fashioned was small and terrible -- and the waiter didn't even ask me what kind of bourbon I would have liked. The menu itself was indicative of a larger thematic problem Bob's seems to have: it doesn't appear to know HOW to be a high-end restaurant, it just wants to charge high-end prices. The menu itself is a piece of paper with an ugly facetype bluntly spelling out the scant selection with little embellishment as to preparation, origination, or quality. Just to find out that Bob's sells steaks that are wet-aged I had to ask a waiter. The selections are rote and banal, from the appetizers and salads down to the deserts. There is simply nothing of merit or distinction anywhere to be found here, just cookie-cutter choices you'd find at any greasy chophouse between here and Chicago. That general air of disengagement extended into the dining area, where nondescript panelling is dotted with random pictures of baseball players (in black & white, of course, to lend an unearned air of classiness) despite no apparent connection to anything about the place, and booths are upholstered in drab padded burlaps. Good luck in navigating to your seat if you're not close to the entrance, there are no clear walkways as you walk in-between other diners on your way back. The place is simply unattractive, poorly lit, clumsy, and awkward -- and there's no excuse for it, because the building is brand-new and was designed by Bob's themselves. So again, it just reinforces that Bob's (and its ownership/management) has no real understanding of what being a high-end dining experience is like other than charging an arm and a leg for their boring food. And honestly, I don't know if they really care. They seemed to be doing just fine, business-wise, as the place was packed out when I was there on a Friday night. However, I hope they take notice of the fact that at 31 years old I was the youngest patron in the restaurant by a good twenty five years (other than some surly teens brought by their parents). This place is strictly for people who have the wealth to routinely drop $100 per person for dinner, but the senility to not understand why they're not somewhere where their money is actually being well-spent. It falls somewhere between a country club and an old folks' home. I've had twice the experience at places where I spent half as much. read more

I'm surprised by Silver C's review, as well. Hubby and I went on a recent Saturday night to celebrate his birthday (he wanted someone else to cook the steaks for a change). Our meals were incredible and the service impeccable. I started with my usual 'Bombay Sapphire Martini up with a twist' (yea I know, I'm high-maintenance) while hubby perused the wine list. The martini was perfect - just enough suspended semi-frozen goodness (not really 'frozen but you know how cold it is when the booze is kept in the freezer). Foodwise, we both started with the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. I was well into my martini while I ate this, but I think there were 4 of these jumbo prawns - mini lobster size - and incredibly fresh. I'm so glad we didn't decide to share an order. Then we had salads. I had the Asparagus Salad and hubby had the Beefsteak Tomato and Red Onion Salad. My salad was delicious with lots of asparagus and just the right amount of dressing. His salad looked good, but I didn't try it. Then for the entree we both had the bone-in prime Kansas City Strips (I had the small one - 18 oz!!) cooked rare. They both came out perfectly cooked and so delicious. I can't believe I was able to eat all of mine, but it was oh so good! We did have a bottle of Cab they were 'suggesting' that was 'on sale' that evening. I don't remember what it was, and yes it was sorta expensive, but it was very nice. Hubby enjoyed it thoroughly. And for his birthday, they gave us our choice of dessert on the house. We had the bread pudding which was pretty good, but really pushed me over the edge. This is definitely the kind of place you should expect to drop at least a couple bills. One could economize by skipping appetizers, salads, and the bottle of wine, but in this kind of a place WHY??? Bob's doesn't strike me as a weekly or even monthly dinner excursion (unless you've got major bucks or are on an expense account), but for the occasional special dinner out, it's just that - special. read more

The only slight disappointment was around the noise levels. We were there on a Monday night as a party of 8. I loved my experience at the Dallas Bob's (Lemmon) but my Grapevine experience was disappointing. We went to Bob's for my mother-in-law's birthday and had one of the back rooms for our party of 20. First the good: The staff was friendly and accomodating. They kept their cool with the increase of guests from 12 to 20 during the week. They also allowed us to bring in a birthday cake and lit the candles and cut it up in back after it was presented. Also, this location is large. Lots of tables and a pretty big bar--I was very suprised compared to the Dallas location. Ok, now the cons. Our table ordered 2 appetizers. They never came. We ordered calamari and onion rings and I even pulled the server aside and asked for a side of remoulade for the calamari. We were surpised when all the meals were being delivered and we still had no appetizer. Our server said oh, i thought you wanted them with your meal. Well why would we do that? With a big group and we specifically said for an appetizer we'll have.....Yeah I think that was a lame attempt to cover his butt on that one. Well we cancelled the appetizers. So our food comes and Hubby and I split the porterhouse which came out perfect. But our tablemates ordered the same steak medium well and it was bloody and very pink. The mac and cheese was just ok to me. The best side was the creamed spinach and sauteed mushrooms. It took the servers entirely too long to clear the plates and bring out the cake. I had to make sure they knew about it as it was getting late. Also my friend asked for a cheesecake to go and he received 2 on his bill. They eliminated one, but you expect more from a place like Bob's. Also the room was sooo dimly lit. Great for a romantic dinner but it was horrible lighting for us to take pictures of the birthday girl and the family. I would definitely recommend the Dallas location over this one. read more

Bob's has all the right "ingredients" of a great steakhouse- the valet out front, the flock of personal waiters/busboys, a schmoozy crowd, and the best cuts of meat (no pun intended). But no expensive meal can feel "worth it" without two things- personality and personalization. Personality- dear Bob, you need one. Even steak and potatoes can be memorable. Personalization- when the time between placing my order and receiving my food is faster than humanly possible, I have to wonder where it came from. read more

So...me and another Doc walk in. I have khakis and sandals on. He has shorts on. Its 5:45 October 24th. No one was in the main dining room. we asked if we could be seated. The 2 young ladies greeted us at the door with a visceral reply said NO, there is a 2 hour wait, even though we could see the entire dining area was deserted. One of the young ladies neglected to hold the door open for us when we entered. Turns out one of us was from San Diego, another from Baltimore, with 4 other docs arriving in similar attire for a casual dinner 15 minutes later. Typical Dallas. They did suggest Winehouse as they were probably told by upper management. Good suggestion. We'll do that restaurant in the future. Really?! No seating at 5:45 with an empty dining room? I love, love, LOVE Bob's Steakhouse in Grapevine. The parking is a little annoying because they mostly have it roped off for valet only. But it's nothing to lose a star over. He ambience is warm and inviting. I love the dark wood and dimly lit lighting that makes you feel relaxed. The food is incredible. I got a fish dish the first time I dined here and it was great but you're coming to Bobs for the steak. I usually get the filet which is incredible. You MUST get the creamed spinach as well. It's the best I have ever had. I did get asparagus once and it was gross. I make better at home. The steaks, service, extensive wIne list and the ambience is enough to get my 5 stars!! read more

This is the 5th steak house(from the top 20 rated in dallas) that i have dined at. Hands down the best filet i have had. All the steakhouses try to up sell the special steaks they have. This was a average priced filet that was AMAZING! It also includes the sides which was a nice touch. For some reason places are charging an extra 15$ for a side dishes w/ your steaks...if you are paying 40$ for a piece of meat you should get a potato..or something!We also got a decent bottle of wine for 55$, duck horn decoy is a solid choice! My GF and I love to have dinner at Bob's because we know the service is always going to be great, the food delicious and great wine selection. From the valets to the hostess to the servers everyone has always be on their game and very attentive. We have eaten here somewhere on the number of 10-12 visits and like the fact that they always are consistent with all service. We will keep coming back again and again. read more

We discovered the porterhouse at Bob's was like butter after they opened this location. We would treat ourselves every couple months. But tonight it was funky. If you go to Outback and pay $10 for the special is one thing, but to pay $55 at a righteous steakhouse, it better be worth it. The strip part was wonderful and beefy, but the tenderloin side tasted rancid. After finally getting our servers attention since she was having a grand time chatting, we were able to send it back. The supposed manager tasted it and acknowledged something was off. So they fired another. Manager said he tasted the second one and it was good. He was right, he tasted the strip side and it was great, but again, the tenderloin side was rotten tasting. One more time our food went back. I was really embarrassed about being one of those people. The manager offered to get us two strips and we got it to go. We didn't pay for the porterhouses, but we were charged for the two strips (which were more expensive than the one porterhouse we usually share) but I was already tired of dealing with the situation. So we paid and took our food home. The strips were ok. Surprisingly under seasoned and must have lost some luster in the styrofoam because it was "meh". I'm so disappointed with this whole experience and also that my go to spot for great porterhouse is no longer an option. read more

Good place to enjoy a steak. Didn't particularly like the sides that they had available. If you're looking for intimate date night then you probably want to skip this place because when you talk to each other you pretty much have to yell the whole time. Also you can smell the cigarette smoke from the bar section because it's not separated well. Overall pretty good steak but if I had my choice I would just go to Del Frisco's. If someone invited me again I would definitely go but if I had my choice would not go here. read more

The meats were good. The sides not as good. Crab cake appetizer only had one on it. The dinner had 2 pieces. Calamari tasted like any other place and the portion wasn't big either. Creamed spinach piping hot when we got it, the taste was a mere okay, not worth it. Filet mignon and ribeye was good. If my husband was rating this he would give it 5 STARS, hands down because of the following reasons: - EXCELLENT high quality steak. So tender and tasty - Amazing service - The bread is soooo good. Crispy on the outside, soft in the inside ... reminds me of a fresh croissant. - The atmosphere is classy - Our favorite appetizer is the Calamari! It was so goood .. not rubbery The only reason why I took out 1 star is their sides. Everything else was soooo amazing but the sides just fell flat specifically the mashed potatoes (which I loooove mashed potatoes but this one was OK). I had a great experience, our server Heidi knew how to keep a table of 11 in line and happy. I had the 3 oz filet mignon with a 7 oz lobster tail. The dish came with mashed potatoes and a glazed carrot. This was very filling and delicious. Steak so buttery and delicious. The bread at the beginning of the meal was awesome very soft. I love that they have a little jar of pickled pickles on the table. We had some delicious wine and a slice of chocolate cake, creme brûlée, and a birthday dessert. I left very satisfied and very happy. I also loved the fact that they had a help yourself jelly bean station at the front. Definitely coming back. We have a tradition of going to eat at a steakhouse on our anniversary and Bob's did NOT disappoint. The service was amazing and we met one of the owners and he gave us a free dessert of our choice: we got the carrot cake and we highly recommend it! It was SO DELICIOUS and the pieces of cake were GINORMOUS. We both ordered filets and they were cooked perfectly to our request. I got the smashed potatoes and let me tell you something, those things were heaven on earth! They had the perfect amount of garlic in them and they were so creamy!!! Melt in your mouth amazingness. Honestly our only complaint about the whole thing was that it was a little dark inside, but that was only a problem when we were looking at menus. A guy sitting one table over from us literally had his flashlight on from his phone so he could read the menu. We will definitely be back and we even joked (but were pretty serious) about coming here every year for our anniversary to the point where everyone who works there knows us by name. We had a perfectly perfect birthday dinner at Bob's. My mom was turning 73 which was the perfect opportunity its to enjoy a fine dining experience. We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly for our 5 PM reservation. The waiter rested my mom like a queen and was very attentive to her every need. They accommodated my gluten-free diet without problem and the waiter was careful to point any items that others ordered that contained gluten. All of our steaks (a t-bone and two ribeyes) were perfectly cooked. We always love the glazed carrot. How do they get it so even,y and perfectly cooked? The smashed potatoes were perfect as was the baked potato. The waiter patiently topped my mom's baked potato exactly to her liking. Upon learning of her birthday he insisted that he buy her dessert. One of the managers also stopped by to wish her happy birthday. She truly felt very well taken care of. As for dessert, the crepe brûlée was delicious and covered with delicious, perfectly ripe berries; the cheesecake was also perfect. All in all, my mom's birthday was a smashing success. What can I say about Bob's. Great atmosphere, good people, and possibly the best Steak in Texas. I've been to all of them (III Forks, Pappas, Nick and Sams) and still find Bob's to be consistent and one of my favorites. The signature "Giant Cooked Carrot" is amazing. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and I've never tasted anything better!! I was blown away by the tenderness and flavor. This was a special off the menu last weekend, so I don't think it's normally on the menu. I usually order fish @ steakhouses bc I'm not much of a beef eater, but this was incredible!! You will need to valet, so bring some cash. It's been over a week since I ate here and I'm still thinking about it!! Try the pickled cucumbers and bell peppers in the center of the table...good too!! read more

We just enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant. Our waitress, Hannah was wonderful and very attentive. We were checked on by many members of the staff and my water glass never even got half empty, everyone walking by just filled it. They took the time to get to know us, why we were there, and what we wanted to eat. My 10 year old daughter was with me, we were celebrating a special event and they treated her so well she decided she wanted to eat the rest of her meals there while we are in Texas. I would not hesitate coming back or recommending Bob's for a special night out. read more

Going to Bob's in Grapevine for a special occasion is like going home for the holidays...warm and welcoming with delicious food just the way you like it. If you like lamb, try the lollipop lamb chop appetizer. I used to remember the best filet ever at a now-defunct steakhouse in DC, but after the last couple of trips to Bob's, I must say that I cannot remember any better than I have enjoyed in Grapevine. Lettuce wedge, smashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and the trademark carrot all excellent sides. Chocolate cake wedge perhaps the best chocolate cake on the planet. Service is extraordinary. Will not return to the Plano location again. Service was good but steaks were unseasoned and my husband's ribeye was unusually fatty. Brussel sprouts were over cooked and the bacon had a weird flavor. Mushrooms tasted as if they hAd been sitting all day and were flavorless. $150 and horrible meal read more

Went here with some concern about other reviews. Yes; it is a little pricey..But well worth every penny. From the front desk greeter to the parking attendent all was first class. Monty, the GM stopped by our table . After a few nice words from him it was clear why this place is #1. It's not just the steaks (which were best anywhere).
