    Pretzel starter
    Nicole W.

We went for Mother's Day, and it was a very good meal. Hubby made reservations, and we were seated quickly upon arrival. Our server was a very nice guy, and made recommendations that were very good. The pretzel starter was good as well as the egg rolls. I just wish there were more, lol. I ordered the Steak Frites, and it was good. My daughter had salmon, hubby had Mahi Mahi I believe, and my son got the pepperoni flatbed. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

A little underwhelming. Expected more. Maybe because we were upstairs. They sat us down and we were the only people there then they sat another couple right next to us?? Why not at least one table away?? as they and the waitress were very loud. Is everyone brain dead? Food was good at least. The furniture and ambiance is showing its age. Needs an update. In retrospect, the weather was nice out we should've sat outside on the deck. Hate to be picky but the other tables waitress looked like she just got out of bed and looked unprofessional for such an upscale establishment

The food here is always really consistent. Whether it's the steak, the burger, or even a "girl dinner," you know what you're getting every time. The service is quick and reliable, which makes it an easy place to come back to. They also have great cocktails, and if you're looking for a rooftop in Southlake, this is the place!

Del Frisco is the restaurant to go to for great happy hour foods and beverages, dinner, brunch or just to hand out with friends. The bar area is where it's at! The bar tenders are friendly and quickly there to serve you. I love sitting at the bar, and ordering off the happy hour menu. Love the Roasted Buffalo Wings, Naked with Ranch Dressing, so good. Also, I have had the Roasted Tomato & Pepperoni Flatbread. They have a great selection of wines, too. Del Frisco's Lot 1981 is my favorite. A must try for Happy Hour!

Visited this place yesterday with my family. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I ordered the salmon which came with a yogurt style dill sauce which was truly amazing and a side of asparagus. I additionally ordered a side of truffled Mac and cheese which was also really good. We traditionally go to Del Frisco but Del Frisco grille was also as good. Service however was a bit slow which I think was probably because of Christmas and being short staff but our waiter was truly amazing. I will definitely be back again.

Went at lunch and sat at the bar. Food was great, server was very friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was well lit and moody!

Love the ambiance of the restaurant and the atmosphere. The service was outstanding. The short ribs and barbecue ribs could have used a tad bit more seasoning however we enjoyed our meal.

Came here with my friend to try the It Girl Dinner for lunch, so we headed straight to the bar. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by our bartenders Hannah and Michelle. We were given ice water, while we looked through the menu. We ordered the Cheesesteak Egg rolls to share, and those were magnificent. For our meal we had the It Girl Dinner which comes with Spicy Cavatappi à la vodka, Caesar Salad, Truffle Fries and a Cocktail, which I chose the Femme Fatale. At first I didn't know how to feel about the pasta, the sauce seemed to be more like marinara sauce than vodka sauce, so it confused me. The pasta ended up being delicious, cheesy and flavorful. The Caesar salad was perfect and the fries really did hit the spot. The Femme Fatale was a delicious cocktail, and paired well with our food. The ambience was very warm and inviting making us feel comfortable. I really enjoyed the top notch service and the delicious meal.

After noon, you can expect the crowd to significantly increase and it will become busy. We ran into that, towards the end of our visit. With the increase in traffic, it was nice to be tended by more than one waiter. I didn't think about it then, but I would have loved to tip the second person, as well. When going to Postino's, I always try to get something new and they never fail to impress. Drink: The Mockingbird (Mocktail) - bright pineapple, a touch of Italian orange, and toasted almond bitters. This was very good and is something I'd get again. The Board: Brie, Apple & Fig Spread - this is a repeat for me, I absolutely love it. The apples are always fresh, crisp, and juicy. This is so perfect! Prosciutto Di Parma, Fig & Mascarpone - another repeat, I can't go to Postino's without having this on my board. Mushroom & Mascarpone - If you're a lover of mushrooms, you'll enjoy these little bites. I did notice, we did not get the green onions this time around and I was okay with that. They were removed, due to the current outbreak. Great thinking, Postino's! Salami & Pesto - This always closes the board for me, I love this combination. Although, I will add, I think a different type of salami would work best with this combination. West Coaster Panini - (Smoked ham, smashed avocado, arugula, roasted garlic aioli, pickled red onion, Calabrian chili, feta cheese. For my side, I chose the tomato soup, my goodness, was it good. I must say, it is the best tomato soup, I've ever had. It was creamy, packed with flavor, and complimented my panini so well. Also, they add cheese tortellinis to the soup as well. So, good! This was very delicious, the ham stood out and wasn't muted. However, I think I will get another bread next time. I chose the focaccia, it was a bit too much bread for that particular sandwich. I will admit, it doesn't beat their prosciutto and brie panini; that sandwich is divine. Hot Donut Dots - (House made ricotta donut holes with salted butter chocolate, caramel and vanilla glaze dipping sauces.) These are superb and packs a lot in one bite. The cream in the middle is so smooth and full of flavor, but is very heavy. I'm not a cookies and milk person, but this dessert craves a tall glass of milk. They were hot, fresh, and I appreciate the fact that even when fried, they were not swimming in grease. The vanilla dipping sauce was my go-to, of the three sauces. They did well with this dessert, it hit all of the bases. Postino's is a great place to visit with friends, a date, or even as a solo-day/night out. They are one of my top 5 restaurants and I don't see that changing, ever!

The positives are the complimentary SPARKLING water, and the very nice bathrooms. My husband got the shrimp tacos and He thought they were fine. I had seen photos on Yelp of a delish looking french dip on a pretzel roll, but sadly that is discontinued. I ordered the appetizer of steak bites and seriously I had to chew about 25 times for about 75% of the pieces, I had asked for the medium rare and they were more toward medium well. I almost sent them back (but then I never know if they are going to spit in them or something, I think I have sent back 2 things in my entire life, so I wasn't really keen on that idea) I will say the horseradish sauce they came with was excellent, especially on the 25% of pieces I could actually chew easily

Moving to Texas a while back, a friend said "never underestimate a restaurant in a strip mall"…read more Craftway Kitchen in Southlake isn't exactly in a strip mall, but in the outlot of a few big box retailers. We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. Taking our chances as a party of three walk in's, the restaurant was full inside, and there were a few tables open on the patio. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! Most of the starers are mouthwatering, even the unexpected Ruben Eggrolls are a delight. Less daring items like the coconut shrimp are equally good. Without a doubt my go to entree is the Beef Wellington. I remember La Madeleine had an affordable one on their menu in the late nineties, this is reminiscent. I do usually swap out the mashed potatoes for the chopped wedge as side, just seems like the classical steakhouse side for the task. The only thing I would say that is lacking is the wine list, despite being very fairly priced. Their most bespoke bottle of red is the Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon (2021), which while amazing for the $99.99 they charged, it was fairly flat, lacking the traditional vanilla perfume you'd expect from a pricey California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also took a bottle of GH Mumm Grand Cordon, which also did not taste as anticipated. I think the most plausible explanation might be heat damage, as both wines are usually well regarded but came up short.

It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
