Looking for a great steak? Look no further! Dino's is a small, local, mom-and-pop spot serving up delicious steaks with superb service. The venue itself is charming -- it feels like it might have once been an old bank or historic business, which adds to the character. Depending on when you arrive, you might even be greeted by the soft sound of live piano music in the background. There's seating both upstairs and downstairs, plus a grand bar if that's more your vibe. The staff is professional and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between attentive and not hovering. Steaks are served with veggies and creamy garlic mashed potatoes, which for me was more than enough. You also get complimentary bread with whipped butter to start, and for a special occasion (a birthday in my case), they even comped us a delicious dessert -- such a thoughtful touch! My only gripe? Cocktail prices. They aren't listed on the menu, so I was shocked to be charged $18 for a basic well drink . Definitely overpriced, even in today's economy. i can't come often but def a place for special occasion

The dish closest to the camera is Potato Wrapped Halibut and veggies subbed vegetables. The far dish is salmon and a side of shrimp corn.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, service and atmosphere was amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice live piano bar in front with intimate dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very classy and not stuffy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think this could also be a great dressy date night place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I'm not sure who the chef is here but he/she did an excellent job with presentation and flavors. I would definitely recommend and will definitely go back!

Chilean sea bass, New Zealand Cabernet Sauvignon. Historical downtown.

Excellent! Started with a Woodford Reserve Manhattan. Very well prepared! App: scallops. Again , well prepared. Chilean sea bass with asparagus (I'm Keto). So moist, tender and crispy on the edges! Asparagus was crisp and well-seasoned. Jesse was a very knowledgeable server who answered my many questions without attitude. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bonus: the bar across the street (Red Dirt Cellars) had a great live duo playing with their doors open![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thanks!!

Amazing meal at Dino's! We were in town for Thanksgiving and went into Grapevine to participate in their Carol of Lights. I made reservations outside at Dino's to watch the tree lighting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great view and awesome food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the Lobster Bisque and dumplings on a chilly night. They both are hands down a great way to start a meal at Dino's. For main course we chose the potato wrapped Halibut and the marinated pork chop. Everything was well presented and tasted delicious. Check out Dino's if you are in Grapevine.

Went here for my birthday celebration and had an amazing dinner. Service outstanding and I was wished a happy birthday from several people. Lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Don't miss this. Red snapper very tasty with pecan rice They brought us a tiramisu on the house which was a very nice gesture and was delicious. We have been here a few other times for a special dinner and always left stuffed and happy.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dino's has a great atmosphere with a rustic Texas style with class and a pianist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is great and attentive. The food is not impressive and the steak lacked any seasoning at all which tasted like they just put a piece of meat on top of an open flame. The salads and dessert were the best part of the meal.

I can see why many people would love Dino's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Impeccable ambiance, spectacular service, stellar menu options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can also see why some might have reserves. First up, the crab cake. $20 for a single crab cake is a little much. My date thought it was a little on the fishy side. I didn't mind it and gladly polished it off for her. While I lived in Florida, Red Snapper was always my fish of choice off the dock, so I was so excited to see it on the menu. Served with a basmati rice and veggies. The snapper was phenomenal but I felt the sauce it was cooked with was a little on the salty side which took away from the snapper. The rice was a nice pairing but the veggies didn't hit for me. Next up was the Special of the Day, Surf and Turf, filet mignon topped with 2 scallops, served with whipped mashed potatoes and veggies. We both felt the steak was good, just not phenomenal. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The potatoes and veggies again just underwhelmed. I saw the reviews about the Macaroni A La Quatro Fromage and it didn't miss! Creamy and Cheesy. I felt it was a little on the salty side but my date didn't get the same impression. Maybe my pallet was just off this night. All in all, Dino's was a great experience. I can see how some would love it and some may be impartial about it.

You know the place is good when everyone is raving about the sides and saying you have to try this. The mashed potatoes are perfectly whipped and full of air, the au gratin potatoes are spectacularly layered with flavor. The Mac and cheese was also full of flavors. But let me tell you the flavor on the tomahawk and the rack of lamb. We all walked out fully and completely satisfied

(Well... maybe luck had a little something to do with it. ) As soon as we walked through the doors, we were warmly greeted by Ms. Jenna, our hostess. She welcomed us with a beautiful smile, was very polite and kind, and escorted us to a booth in Ms. Destinee's section. While we were there, we also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Corin, the General Manager. He was full of energy, very welcoming, and genuinely seemed excited to have us there. It didn't take long to notice that his positive attitude had rubbed off on his staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and worked together as a team. That speaks volumes about his leadership. Luckily for us, we had just missed the lunch rush, so we were seated immediately without any wait. The restaurant itself was very clean, well organized, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. They also offer an outdoor dining area that was just as clean and well maintained as the inside. Ms. Destinee, our server, was wonderful. She was polite, welcoming, explained the menu, and gave us plenty of time to look everything over while bringing us glasses of water. To start, we ordered the Ranch Rings (onion rings) from the shareable menu for $13.75. They arrived hot, crispy, evenly battered, and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint was the cilantro, which just isn't my favorite. For our entrées, we all ordered from the "Perfect Pair" menu. My daughter chose the BLT sandwich with the Killer Mac & Cheese for $14.95. She absolutely loved it! The bread was nicely toasted, the sandwich was well seasoned, and the mac and cheese definitely lived up to its name. We also ordered the Salmon Club Sandwich with a Caesar salad for $14.95. The salmon was delicious, and the Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful. I went with the Crispy Chicken Sandwich paired with a cup of their Tortilla Chicken Soup for $14.95. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. As for the soup... it was so good I honestly wished I had ordered another cup! Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience from beginning to end. Great food, excellent service, and an amazing atmosphere. Mr. Corin is doing an exceptional job, and his staff is a true reflection of his leadership. Without a doubt, I'll be coming back again. I hope to see y'all there!

It was a great way to kick off our lunch. It just hit lunch time, so the restaurant wasn't too busy and we decided to take a seat at the bar for our meal. The restuarant is beautiful, great decor, very bright yet great seating for small or large parties. It looked like there was private dining also available! As we perused the menu, we were greeted promptly by our bartender, who's name is slipping my mind, he was such a sweet guy! He gave us some excellent food and drink recommendations. The one drink I went with that he recommended was their 21-day pineapple infused vodka martini. Shaken beautifully and poured into an ice cold martini glass and dressed with a fresh pineapple wedge. It was nice, crisp, cold, and delightfully fresh! For the food, I was originally thinking a burger, bc it's a smokehouse, and that's what they specialize in, over the fire cooking, but his recommendation on the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich sounded too good to pass up, and in fact, had a missed it, I'd be missing out!!! The sandwich was huge, and after the camera eating first, I took my first big bite, and it was so flavorful. The chicken was hot, crunchy, sweet, with a little spice, crisp pickles, cheese melted as I took each bite. Just a great burst of flavors. The fries I liked very much, and now thinking back on it, should've ordered a side of the sauce they had on the sandwich to dip those fries in. My sister order the 1/2 ribs, which she says were really good, along with a side of au gratin potatoes, that looked like they came from someone's moms kitchen! She left nothing on that plate!!! This was a great first impression of the restuarant, and I look forward to trying them again, something that can be kissed by that flame!

Soon after they reopened for dine in we went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Service was disappointing and the food was okay. I figured staff count might have been low at that time. So when friends asked us to go recently I thought it was time. We went on a Monday during their 4 for $44 anniversary deal. Service was okay again. It did seem to improve as our meal was almost over. I must say the Steak & Tater Totter Bites were delicious! I was excited to try the Artichoke, Potato and Leek soup. It is all puréed and I would have liked some chunks of artichoke in it, but it was good. I went with the Chicken Oscar, because I love crab and it sounded really good. It was good, but not as good as I had hoped. The lemon bar was not great, but my husband had the Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake, which we had had before, and it is very good. The restaurant was extremely crowded on a Monday night. The tables are very close together and it was very loud. It is a very popular restaurant and I have friends that really like it.

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.

It's almost like a theme park, it's own little world.. and each restaurant it's own extra-special entity. They're really paying attention to the details here! When Old Hickory first opened over 20 years ago, my sister was hired as a hostess. She'd been a hostess at Joe's Crab Shack and my family visited her there often. Sadly we didn't get to visit her at Old Hickory in the same way, hahah. Too special, too costly! But ever since they opened we knew it was a quality restaurant focused on a stellar menu. You won't find a steak here for under $60, but if you have the opportunity to splurge or are looking for a special occasion spot, Old Hickory is a top notch choice. The menu is classic steakhouse... gorgeous steaks, shrimp cocktail, oysters, baked potatoes, a wedge salad. All the expected goodies amped up to perfection. Hamachi crudo, crab cakes, seafood towers, lobster bisque, charcuterie boards... wild mushroom risotto, mac and cheese, parmesan truffle fries, creamed corn. King salmon and sea bass. I mean, come on. It's all the steak sides and toppings and sauces of your dreams... blue crab Oscar, foie gras, Maine lobster tail, steak "Diane," creme au poivre, bearnaise, horseradish cream, chimichurri. How do you even choose?! The atmosphere and service is just as impressive as the menu. Think dim lighting, live music, and a mini-vineyard view. And the staff is impeccably attentive, kind, and knowledgable. Chef Tsvetan Vladimirov is so skilled -- don't miss out on his craft or this gorgeous steakhouse experience!

My Marriott elite status meant we started with a free glass of champagne for the wife and I, and it was very good quality. Our server, Debbie, was incredible. She was efficient, friendly, and professional. Imagine a friend who brings you whatever you want, sort of like that. Service was impeccable from start to finish and could not have been better. The ambience is upscale and sophisticated. It feels like a quality experience, and that is what you get. I started with the broiled oysters and they were excellent. We are trying to stay away from raw oysters so the broiled oysters were a nice compromise. The flavor was perfect: not fishy, no smell, no weird aftertaste. I would get them again. The wife started with the beet and burrata salad and loved it. For entrees, I had the center cut filet mignon and it was perfect. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium exactly as I requested. I added a baked potato and it was enormous, enough to be an entree unto itself. It was covered with bacon bits, sour cream, and a cheese sauce that reminded me of nacho cheese. I could not possibly eat it all because it was so large. The wife had the lamb chops and they were incredible. The meat is melt in your mouth tender. No strong lamb flavor. I am not a big lamb fan but I have to say, it was really really good. She added the chipotle creamed corn on the side and it was very good. Drinks: I can't forget the drinks. I had some Mexican martinis and they were excellent. A sour and tangy drink that quickly becomes addictive. The wife had a mezcal drink that with the words "illegal" in the title but I don't remember the full name. Wow, it was good. It has mezcal, mole bitters, and something else. The drink is smoky, slightly sweet, and completely captivating. I could drink about five of those! The wife limited herself to two. Dessert: I had some kind of pastry with pears and blue cheese. It was good but I really don't know why I ordered it since I was already completely full from the steak and potato. The wife and kid shared some kind of chocolate ball thing that I did not really pay attention to because I was helping the wife with her second mezcal drink. They loved the dessert. We waddled back to our room, completely stuffed and feeling fine from the drinks. The meal was expensive, but the quality is there. The chef or chefs are very talented. I don't mind paying a lot if you get high quality, and Old Hickory delivered. We will be back!
