The hostess was friendly, and the wait staff was on point, as they were not pushy but observant of our needs. The appetizers were terrific. We had the crab cakes and the scallops, which were very tasty and well-presented. I had the surf and turf consisting of the tenderloin with scallops and mashed potatoes. My date had the Red Snapper with rice. Both meals were prepared well and satisfying. First up, the crab cake. $20 for a single crab cake is a little much. My date thought it was a little on the fishy side. I didn't mind it and gladly polished it off for her. While I lived in Florida, Red Snapper was always my fish of choice off the dock, so I was so excited to see it on the menu. Served with a basmati rice and veggies. The snapper was phenomenal but I felt the sauce it was cooked with was a little on the salty side which took away from the snapper. The rice was a nice pairing but the veggies didn't hit for me. Next up was the Special of the Day, Surf and Turf, filet mignon topped with 2 scallops, served with whipped mashed potatoes and veggies. We both felt the steak was good, just not phenomenal. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The potatoes and veggies again just underwhelmed. I saw the reviews about the Macaroni A La Quatro Fromage and it didn't miss! Creamy and Cheesy. I felt it was a little on the salty side but my date didn't get the same impression. Maybe my pallet was just off this night. All in all, Dino's was a great experience. Tourist TRAP!!!!! This place sits right on main in Grapevine. The Christmas Capital of Texas. Lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service we received from the host and the server were great. Both greeted and treated us very nicely. We first started with a bourbon barrel, aged old-fashioned, and a Cherry cask cocktails. Both were made very wrong. For appetizers, we both got a lobster bisque and a caprese salad. The salad was great as it's really hard to mess up mozzarella beef, steak, tomatoes, and balsamic. The lobster bisque on the other hand was really sweet. It was very surprising that it was a sweet lobster bisque rather than a savory one. The prices for the steaks were priced well. Saying that to say we thought the steaks were going to be good. It's also in the name. I ordered the ribeye medium well the steak came out with no seasoning on it. The cut was OK. For an additional cost, I ordered my husband and I each our own Au Poiver sauce. Unfortunately, they were just a brown colored sauce with no seasoning, specifically pepper. My husband also ordered a steak and it was very similar to mine. Just lacking flavor and a cheap cut of meat. Both steaks came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The vegetables tasted great. The mashed potatoes were very under seasoned and of course there was no salt or pepper on the table. There was a gentleman going around with a pepper grinder, but it must have been dirty as barely any pepper was coming out of it. Definitely would never go back to this place. We both had the same thought that this is just a tourist trap on the strip. read more

Very good steakhouse on Main Street in Grapevine. Somewhat quaint but enjoyable ambiance. Service is always exceptional as is the food. I had a house salad then a special plate with filet medium plus top with two large scallops under some Bernaise sauce with veggies and sautéed mushrooms. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir to top things off. Everything was delicious. Like most steak or seafood places this is expensive but nice for special occasions. No place is the expense more ridiculous than the bar, a mixed drink was $18 which is half the cost of the entire bottle at any local liquor store. At some point it's impossible to justify the cost, I think Dino's is at that point. This is why for me this place is only for very special occasions, but the food quality is exceptional. read more

My husband and I had a gr at experience at Dinos. We were shopping in Grapevinw one Saturday and decided to stop in for dinner after the stores closed. When entering it looks a little old fashioned but it does have a cozy, honey vibe. We were seated swiftly and given water and menus. Trying to get to this place took over 45 mins when it was suppose to be 5 mins. It has been one of the Hallmark Christmas places I've seen and apparently the entire city and travelers come out to see it. This night, there was a drone light show and the streets were filled, roads were blocked-- complete nightmare.
