Took family here for my wife's birthday. We have been to Capital Grille in other cities and we're looking forward to typical top shelf service and food. Service was slow and attention to detail unimpressive. High point of meal was the steak tartare, which was very delicious. The steaks and sides were good not great. There are plenty of great steakhouses in Dallas, was hoping this would be one but not so much...

In Dallas and had something to celebrate. We had the calamari that was terribly salty and no good. Then onion soup and a wedge salad. Both which were great. We also both had the steak au poivre and both were great but cooked med rare for most of them but medium towards one end. We both had the same issue. Very odd...we ordered med rare. Although great food with one exception, we expected better. Maybe an off night. Super busy!

My wife and I were celebrating our 27th year together and 24th wedding anniversary! We typically dine at Truluck's, also in Southlake, for special occasions, however we decided to change it up a bit. And boy were we happy we made that decision! David (not Dwayne ) made the dining experience a night to remember. We were first greeted pleasantly at the door by the hostess with a warm Happy Anniversary greeting. We then were exhorted to our table that was set up quite nicely for the occasion. Then our waitresses (yes I said waitresses) always checked on us to make sure we were taken care of. We were also greeted by the manager, David quite often. He was certainly a character with a great sense of humor and kept us smiling. David even gave us a couple of really nice gifts to take home. Our second waitress also offered us a delicious dessert sampler that consisted of chocolate cake and cheese cake! All in all it was an amazing experience. We will definitely be back!

My boss took our work group here to celebrate my 15th year at my company and this was a great place to celebrate! When we arrived, we were immediately escorted to our own private dining room, the Carroll Shelby Room, named after none other than! The room was nice, with pictures of Shelby and his works on the wall. Our server, Grayson, did a great job! We were a large group but he never missed a beat with us. We were well taken care of throughout our entire experience. For appetizers we ordered Calamari and also Crab Cakes. Both were perfectly prepared. I also had a cup of delicious New England Clam Chowder. For my main course I enjoyed the Salmon on Cucous with Asparagus. And then for dessert, I enjoyed the Seasonal Berries and Cream. This was a great experience from start to finish! Review #2172

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at The Capital Grille in Southlake. I went last week to celebrate my anniversary and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I absolutely loved the table decor that they did to help us celebrate our special day. The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing and the dessert was unlike any other! I ordered the salmon, au gratin potatoes, brussel sprouts and the coconut pie. Shay was such an amazing server and she made me want to plan my next visit. Can't wait to dine with her again. She was so knowledgeable and sweet!

We had a private room for a very large group. Had 2-3 servers helping and they met all our needs. All the food was excellent.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on their menu. The crab cake and roasted chicken breast were both excellent. The ambience is nice, but just a heads-up: it's best suited for families with older kids.

Steak was cooked to perfection, the salad was very well balanced and extremely tasty. The service was great and the ambiance was moody. Best salad I've had in a very long time. If not ever!

Nice ambiance, great service and good food. Wife's birthday was a good time! We will definitely be back soon. The beet salad was wonderful, brussel sprouts were outstanding. Steak great. Lobster Mac n cheese was good not great and the corn appetizer was the biggest disappointment, now that said it was still good.

We had a nice evening and dining experience. Purposely waited til they had been open about a month so staff would be trained and our experience would be flawless. Seems as though they are working things out with training etc. Our meal was good. I personally didn't care for the clam chowder, tasted like it was out of a can. Bone-in ribeye always a good choice and it did not disappoint! We ordered a side of spinach and the mashed potato dish and both were tasty. Wine by the bottle menu offers a nice selection of bottle and their prices aren't too bad. We sat at the bar. Nice set up, ambiance was nice. Cocktails tasty and their bread basket was delicious!! Side note: They were out of Prosecco...the price per glass is what you can buy a bottle for, somebody from Capital Grille should have run down to the grocery store and bought a case, chilled to have as a backup for customers. We are pleased they have opened in Southlake so close to our home. We have fond memories of dining at other Capital Grilles around the US:)

We especially loved sitting near the bar--the bar staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The standout dish was the blackened halibut topped with lump crabmeat--absolutely delicious. The Waldorf salad was light and perfectly balanced with the halibut, and pairing it with a glass of Davis Bynum Chardonnay was a great choice. We finished the evening with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate, a simple and satisfying dessert. Excellent food and outstanding service throughout.

Martin was our server and he was excellent...friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer recommendations and answer questions. I started with the Smoke in the Garden cocktail with black salt and Tajín, which was delightful. It was refreshing with just the right balance of flavors. We ordered from the power lunch menu, which is a great way to sample a few things. My first course was the Sonoma green salad which was light, fresh, and a perfect start to the meal. For my second course, I had the broiled salmon with Parmesan mashed potatoes, blue crab, and shrimp. I have an egg allergy, and they were very accommodating by swapping the jalapeño béarnaise for lemon garlic butter. The substitution worked beautifully and the dish was rich and satisfying without feeling too heavy. My dining companion ordered the lobster bisque followed by the sesame seared tuna and cleaned both plates, which is always a good sign. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was attentive, and I really appreciated that the menu includes some thoughtful zero-proof options as well. The ambiance was bright and relaxed. I'd absolutely recommend this location and look forward to coming back to especially to check out the desserts next time.

It's really good but it was NOT worth $40/claw... that's outrageous. I also enjoyed the Miso-Glazed Seabass. The asian vegetables that came with it, not so much. The Baked Alaska had a cool presentation at the table with the flames but the taste was nothing special. The Carrot Cake on the other hand was awesome. The service at Truluck's was VERY good. The staff was attentive and the manager even came by to introduce himself. I do like the small touch of illuminating the menu so it's easier to read.

You'd think that would be a basic training lesson and menu knowledge you'd have to grasp before being given a section. Don't put vague descriptions in print if your staff can't break them down when the guest asks questions. On a side note, I know for a fact that this company requires all their managers to be clean shaven. Yet, I saw a cook/chef with a fairly thick, quasi-biker beard working the line in an open kitchen in clear view of guests. Kind of ironic. I'd rather the dude making my food be clean shaven for obvious reasons. Unlikely that I return.
