The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. The shop also has a ton of prepared food servicing the many office and blue-collar workers in the area; it's an excellent place to have a sandwich made for one. Upon entering as regulars to this local favorite establishment, my partner and I decided on Chicken Cutlet with fresh mozzarella cheese and roasted peppers on a toasted wheat wrap as well as Chicken Salad on a sun-dried tomato wrap for indoor dining. They are not cheap, but one gets what one pays for in terms of taste, freshness, and authenticity. The portions were a healthy size for another meal.
