    French Dip Sandwich

Great coal fired pizza. I have eaten here many times and it has always been very good. Tonight my wife and I ordered pasta dishes. Shrimp and broccoli for her and flounder and with crab for me. Extremely good, well balanced with a garlic and white wine sauce. The overall meal was priced reasonably. They staff is and has been very friendly. Howard and Ryan were tending bar and they pour a good glass of wine. The Jazz music was very nice. The French Dip is new and great!

Caprese Salad tasted fresh and the balsamic glaze added just the right savory flavor!

We have eaten at Bocca over many years since they've first opened their doors. HOWEVER... This review is in reference to their "take-out" or "to-go" SERVICE. My husband, orders, on average, once a week, a plain burger: w/ sautéed onions, med. rare. and, fries on the side. He ASKS for NOTHING else on his burger ... preferring NO ketchup, tomatoes, lettuce or cheese. Emphasis on NO CHEESE!! Each time it's been ordered , he has had to call back to RETURN the order ( 50 per cent of the time!! ) because they ADD the CHEESE! Invariably, the manager has said, in the past, "next time you come in, LMK and I'll cover your cost. BUT my husband, doesn't EVER take him up on the offer. But, TONIGHT after they delivered his meal ( again, with cheese, and they forgot the sautéed onions! They returned, WITH a new burger, it had no cheese & AGAIN they did not deliver the additional sautéed onions! SERIOUSLY?? They need to improve their performance. FROM order-taking, to the finished product, to the notes in the kitchen ... somewhere along the way there's a break-down in communication. Customers should NOT have to call consistently to re-order wrongly delivered meals!! My rating is based on this poor performance, on the SAME repeated mistake on several different occasions!

    I was welcome anyway! :)

Any place with daily happy hour from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM is a-okay in my book! We joined our friends here for a late afternoon happy hour on a rainy Saturday. The restaurant was busy! There was a birthday party in a section of the main dining room, and the bar area was lively. The Preakness was going to be broadcast at the bar, so that likely increased the traffic. We were able to land a nice four-top in the bar section. Two things I loved off the bat - the bartender was able to make me a decaf Espresso Martini, and their house Pinot Noir was simply delicious. The happy hour menu was extensive, and we sampled a little bit of everything - cheesesteak egg rolls, buffalo tails (tenders), mussels, hummus, and some Cape May Salts (my favorite). Our server was an absolute doll. I cannot recall her name for the life of me, but she had long red hair and she checked in on us regularly. We could tell she valued her guests' experiences. She deserves accolades and a raise! There is a funny sign behind the bar that read "Welcome Eagles Fans - New York fans please use the back door". Of course. my Philadelphia sports fanatic husband had to put me on blast for being a New York sports fan, but our server chuckled and said I was welcome regardless. So, take THAT! Really fun time and a great place to catch up with friends!

Pizza, sausage, peppers, mushroom and long fire roasted long hots! So good coal fired

We eat there often. Service and food is awesome! Pizza is the best I've had anywhere. Live music is always good! You won't be disappointed.

Don't waste your time with this place. It took over an hour to get delivery when they said 30 minutes. And it was cold

Awesome awesome food! If you go, make sure to order the fried Brussels sprout appetizer. Best sprouts I've ever tasted.

Think 70s bar energy, cushioned bar stools, retro TVs, the whole thing. It felt like stepping into a different era in the best way possible. We started with drinks and they did not disappoint. The $7 mini martinis are a steal, we got the dirty with blue cheese olives and The Garrison 17 which is alibi gin, herb infused vanilla and rhubarb shrub, egg white and lemon. Both were made right in front of us which was a nice touch, and they were genuinely well crafted, not just cheap happy hour drinks. Food is where it really shined though. The whipped ricotta was unreal, we got both the EVOO with Maldon sea salt and the fig, hot honey and hazelnut. The EVOO one especially was one of those things you keep going back to. For pasta we hit the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe, the Crab Orecchiette with chili shrimp and basil, and the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni with calabrian chili. The cacio e pepe stole the show honestly, simple but executed perfectly. Everything was half off which makes it even more ridiculous value. Service was fun and easy going, matched the whole vibe of the place perfectly. This one is going in the regular rotation next time we're in AC.

The only downside was that the lounge style made it a little difficult to eat, but the food was absolutely a 10/10! We got there and it looked, calm, simple, and plain from the outside - until we walked in... this place was PACKED! Clearly, since we didn't make reservations, we weren't going to enjoy seating at their white table cloth tables in the main dining room, but we went around back to their bar and scored one last table there. Our server, Brian was amazing... engaging... and on point! They have a nice wine list and perfect spirit list. They also have an outstanding menu loaded with so many options, that I really just needed to settle on the first thing I saw that looked good. For me, I love cucumbers and when I saw they had a cucumber salad, done Asian style, I was completely in!!! Then I saw their soup of the day was split pea with bacon and since no one serves split pea and when they do, it's rarely what I expect, I got that too! Both of these came out looking GREAT! The cucumber salad had a nice spice to it and the flavors overall were sooo on point! That split pea soup was also great... almost perfect! It had the exact texture this soup should have and the flavor was very nice. For my entrée I saw a few of the halibut as I was walking through the dining room, so that is what I chose. The halibut came out looking great! It was PERFECTLY prepared too!! The flavors were spot-on, and the accompanying veggies were great too. We were enjoying dinner so much that we didn't want it to end, even though we were full... so, we ordered desserts too. I opted for the banana cream pie, as this is another item I rarely see on a menu and when I do, it's rarely done right, but not here... they did it perfectly! Overall, amazing meal... Highly recommend stopping in, but make reservations first!

The fried sushi roll was tough on the outside and soaked in a spicy sauce. I only ate the tasty tuna interior. My seasonal crisp was apple. Really? In June? And it arrived covered in whipped cream AND ice cream. I clearly should have gotten the blueberry pie! The crisp was okay but the fruit was lost in the toppings. I'll try again another time.

I love that they're BYOB and you'll have a view of the pool and the ocean from a distance. Service was outstanding. It was perfectly timed and so personable. They provide complimentary bread with a delicious olive oil topped with crushed red pepper. To start, we split the Caesar salad and this was one of the best we've had in a while! It was cheesy and had the right amount of dressing without being too overpowering. They added olives and freshly made croutons that gave it some extra texture that I enjoyed. For my entree, I had the milk fed veal chop served Milanese style which was nice and light exactly how the server described it. It's like a caprese salad on top of a battered and crisp bone in chop. The balsamic was so tasty and they put a very generous amount of mozzarella on top. This was 17 ounces so I couldn't finish half of it but it still tasted great leftover. The star of the evening was the chef's specialty dish: the Pork Chop Agro Dolce. It's a center cut bone in pork chop topped with carmelized onions, a hot cherry pepper & capers in a sweet & slightly sour sauce over a candied sweet potato which tasted just as amazing as it sounds and looks!! I was dipping my veal chop into this sauce because it was absolutely incredible!! I don't think I've ever had a better pork chop in my life. It really puts others to shame. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit here to try some pastas and seafood. They also had special items that I'm super curious about! Highly recommend this place!
