So I finally got around to trying their pizza wings and and it did not disappoint! I wasn't sure if they had slices here .. there's no display visible and I didn't see any options on doordash; however, closed mouths don't get fed and when I asked, they did have some slices! So I picked up the wings I ordered, and some slices, and brought home food for me and my son (who was probably like really mom, pizza and wings again?? LOL). I'll start with the pizza ... another day I wasn't feeling like pizza, but was at a new spot for wings so got it any way. IT WAS SSOOOOOO GOOD! Now I see why this place is always packed at dinner time! I honestly didn't want to give the other slice to my son crisp crust, perfect ratios, and excellent flavor! THIS is a place that knows how to season their pizza! I will definitely be ordering from here again! Now the wings. I ordered mine XXXcrispy (hey, the option was there). And they were really crispy! Awesome and thank you! It was served with Ken's blue cheese and celery. The celery was hardy, plentiful, and crisp! If I had one complaint, it's that I would have liked sauce. Now two things run through my mind: there are places I've ordered wings, and this is just how it is. The other thing is that it may be that I ordered them XXX crispy and sauce can ruin that when boxed to go. So I think I would want more sauce and have to ask Bocce about it and get extra sauce in a container for them if that's the case. But they were cooked just right .:: crispy on the outside, hearty and juicy on the inside. Just a note: Bocce is a take out spot. I added photos so you can see there is limited seating if needed but with how crowded I've seen it get and the fact you'd be freezing sitting there (small area with a door on each side of the storefront), you best get it to go! I live within walking distance of this location of Bocce's and I've been getting pizza here on occasion for many years. It often has not been consistent. Sometimes great, sometimes mediocre. So I never before reviewed it. But it definitely deserves more than the current average number of stars it has so I decided to do this review. Good job, Bocce's on Hopkins. This is full mushroom, half pepperoni and half black olives. As many toppings as if you ordered double. Tasted great. read more

Went there after a soccer game at the high school and ordered 1/2 cheese/pep/onion pizza. It was terrible it had so much pepperoni on it in clumps that I removed 11 slices of pepperoni from my one slice and still had a lot left. That made the pizza very greasy. It looked like the cook just grabbed handfuls of pepperoni and onions and just threw it on the pie!! The pie was not cooked well either. I expect a lot more from Bocce pizza! Pizza was only ok. There wasn't much sauce and pepperoni was space. This isn't the old original Bocce club pizza that was covered in a sweet sauce and loaded with cup n char pepperoni. It had more of the pizza dough exposed than we'd like. It was fresh and hot. It is easy to get to and has parking right in front of the place. There's even a handicap spot if you need one. read more

Here's the thing, I had just moved back to the buffalo area after being gone for more than 20 years. We moved from AZ during the Christmas blizzard and I was anxious to show my family the wonders of buffalo food! Imagine my excitement when I found out there was a buffalo pizza legend 6 minutes from us on Hopkins! 1 - their online ordering system seemed ok on the user end but the order never went in right. (Maybe user error? But we are pretty handy with the online) 2 - when I got there to pick up my order, it was a "problem" that my number wasn't from "the 716" I mean yes there is a pride in having that area code but don't hate we just moved here... so the counter person kind of just walked off supposedly looking for my order - but never gave me an update. 3 - Five customers & 15 minutes later I was still standing there in the cramped foyer feeling in the way and was asked again for my number - still not 716 and back they went to look for my order - they finally figured it out their system put our address as our name and the manager brought me my COLD pizza, no apology. 4 - so, shaking off the lack of customer service (taking into consideration this is NY) I re- confirmed they don't deliver to my apartments only 6 minutes away & was told "we don't deliver to Lockport" I said "oh it's just up the".... He cut me off "it's Lockport " (my kid attends North HS so def not Lockport) 5 - really sad - never going back - the pizza was just ok. ( I waited to make this post so the anger could wear off but obviously it didn't) my advice? CALL IN to make your order & don't look out of place - so you will get good service. read more

For the second time within a month Highly disappointed. Last time I went here I wanted my kids to experience what I grew up on and loved but very disappointed I called and complained manager said I'd have a free pizza for the inconvenience which was a very nice gesture. Fast forward I try again order the pizza normal with pepperoni and 20 wings crispy and extra saucy. Once again very bad experience pizza for the second time was paper thin, little to no sauce and dry with the top burnt to hell literally like eating cardboard, and the wings for the 2nd time were undercooked, not crispy and dry as heck definitely not what we ordered. Honestly not worth going to any of these pizzerias anymore, product quality is completely down all these places care about is overpricing everything and taking your money. Bocce's pizza is a staple, and it's one of the first pizza recommendations I make for any of my friends and family who come in from out of town. The sweet sauce and spicy pepperoni are everything that embodies Buffalo pizza. I usually opt for the double cheese and pepperoni, sometimes I add some sausage on there too, and while my heartburn hates me for it later, damn is it good going down. This location is my favorite. I never have any issues ordering. My order is typically complete in a timely fashion, and they always get the order just right. I have never had any negative experiences with any of the staff. The service was fast and the store is clean and runs pretty smooth. They were getting slammed, but they were VERY friendly. This entry is just a reminder that you will have to wait in line at peak time. I don't envy these guys at this point (people are probably being nasty) but am glad to see that their business is good - though probably seeing peaks and valleys depending on when people are eating. Since I've been to the Bocce Club Pizza shop on North Bailey, I had to give their Hopkins Rd. location a try, to see which one is better. As a result, I'd say if you can, stick with the North Bailey location, not to say this one was bad! I ordered a pizza from this location on a Saturday night. I will say, I've seen a few reviews on Yelp and they've said that the person on the phone was rude. In my experience, I wouldn't say the person answering the phones is rude but they could be a little more "neutral". You don't have to love this job but try not to come off as annoyed. The person that answered seemed to have a hard time hearing me but they did get my order correct when they read it back and I tried to be as nice on the phone as I could (which I usually am nice!). I was told it'd be about 40 minutes before my order was ready, which to me isn't that bad. This shop is located in the middle of a strip of shops and a Rite-aid on the corner and is across from Williamsville North High School. There were plenty of places to park so no problems there. Like the N. Bailey location, this is not a sit-in pizza place: the inside is incredibly small but you can see that their kitchen is huge, which to me is fine, I like taking my pizza back to my apartment. The staff behind the counter are pretty neutral though but they move very quick with ringing orders up. As for my order: I got a Half (six slices) cheese and pepperoni pizza with banana peppers and mushrooms. Now I didn't order the same pizza from the N. Bailey location (that was a Half, chicken finger pizza with medium-sauce), but I don't think my opinion would've changed too much. When I opened the box, the pizza looked great: it was hot and honestly, kind of pretty! As I was eating it though, the crust didn't seem as thick or as cooked as when I had the pizza from their other location. Also, I expected the toppings to be cooked a little more as they still seemed kind of "cool" to me. Their red sauce was excellent though and, in all honesty, I really did enjoy the pizza. It filled me up just right too: I wasn't hungry after eating all six slices but I wasn't "stuffed" either (again, I have a pretty large appetite!). So when it comes down to it, I'll be sticking to their North Bailey location for whenever i have a Bocce Club Pizza craving, which will be pretty frequently. This location serves a pretty good pizza though and I wouldn't be upset if I had pizza from this location again. read more

Last few months every time i've gone here it's been very thin and the dough tastes different, doesn't taste the same as it use to and definitely not as good. Probably the only pizza place in Buffalo where I enjoy a sweet sauce. 12 slices in a large cheese and one topping pizza comes to roughly $23 which is a bit on the pricy side. The ingredients and dough tasted fresh and the customer service was good , they had no problem accepting the coupon I gave them. Wish there was a location closer to the south towns, if that was the case I would treat myself more often! read more

I grew up in Connecticut and New Haven style is really of another universe (see Pepe's, Sally's, Modern...). As much as I love Buffalo as a city, the pizza isn't my thing (way too heavy and mounds of gooey cheese that makes the slice just flop over...). Having said that, Bocce Club is pretty good....the unique regional thing of crisping/cinging the pepperoni is ok in my book. Sweeter sauce...more like the Greek 'za I grew up with (Greek pizza is a thing in Southern New England), and the slice didn't wilt w the cheese. I only had one slice...as the cheese load would probably cause me to nap during the workday (or a digestive/biological rumble in the bumble later in the day..). Way better than the La Nova experience I had at HSBC a year ago (just nasty..)... Definitely the best Buffalo-style 'za I've had out this part of the world. read more

I've been enjoying Bocce Pizza since I was a kid when the location was on Clinton and Adams in Buffalo It's a Buffalo treasure IMO and right up there with Lanova. I tried local spot who couldn't even get the pizza cuts right (I have a bigger family so need Squair cuts) or the wings crispy, they never fail to deliver what I want. The wings are crispy when I ask them to be, the pepperoni and mushrooms are always fresh and tasty and while it's more money, they never disappoint! read more

First timer here at Bocce Club Pizza, walked in with my mask on as required, was greeted right away! I ordered six slices of cheese and pepperoni just to be on the safe side and stick to the traditional style. I wanna say I paid 12-14$ which was not a bad deal. The guy taking my order did suggest a special which consisted of two slices and a drink but I was there with the intentions of slices only lol. We had a bit of a hiccup, I guess I was charged for a small pie and not slices which apparently they offer bigger slices, but I told them it was no biggie I'd keep it as a pie. The slices were done fairly quickly I was in and outta there within 10min. It's a storefront setup within a plaza which I almost missed upon arrival but I have no sense of direction anyhow. I had a little ways to go before I made it back to work and could not resist the aroma coming from the pizza box. I had to eat a slice on the way and it was like something I've never experienced before. The sauce was delicious and just dripping from under the cheese, the pepperonis were just right, and to top it off the crust was soft and crunchy if that makes any sense and had that little burnt taste as well lol... So let me start by apologizing for how long this review is, but I don't want other people to have to go through what we did.. this is one of my mom's favorite pizzerias. She's been ordering from there as long as I can remember. Last weekend, I drove up from myrtle Beach to watch the big game with her on Saturday night. Understanding that they would most likely be very busy that night because of the game, I wanted to be considerate and place my order in advance. I called at about 130 pm, for a pickup between 730 and 8. In all honesty, I almost expected at some point they would have taken all the orders they would be able to handle, and stop taking them. That didn't happen at all. I pulled up to pick up my food, and there were about 15 people standing outside with receipts like they had just ordered. Ok, that's no big deal, I know my food is ready, so I go in to pick it up. I cash out,( 87.00) & rush to my moms who lives 8 minutes away, to watch this game. I should also add, we only had 1 day to be in town, so this was my one and only "buffalo meal", which I always look forward to. What a disappointment. We open these boxes and find pizza that looks like it's been sitting for at LEAST 3 hours. All dried out, gross... the 50 wings are even worse. They no longer had any sauce on them, it had all baked into them. The chicken was so hard you couldn't bite into it, you had to gnaw it with your back teeth.. it sat SO long in fact, that the celery that was in the box had actually cooked and was soft. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I lived in bflo for over 30 years, and bocce is supposed to be one of the best. I understand they were very busy, I really do, but to be out seems like they were greedy, and put themselves in a position where instead of serving as many people as they could fresh food, they opted to not turn anyone away and serve garbage. Especially the people that tried to be considerate and order ahead. 87.00 is alot of money to pay for an inedible meal. Very disappointed. read more

Bocce's pizza has been a staple for a long time. My wife wanted sushi, so I thought why not have some pizza since I am not a huge sushi fan. I placed the online order, and it would be ready in about an hour. We ordered on Saturday night so I expected some wait time, as this makes sense. With everything going on around COVID-19, I knew there would be a limit on how many people could be in the main area. They limited it to 3 people in there and to my surprise the line was a lot longer than I expected. I waited about 15 minutes, which again was expected to have some wait, but the management of the line would have made life easier. Had they had someone calling out to those people who needed to wait longer for their food, it would have made it easier. As I was waiting for the employee to bring my order they kept yelling out for different people, and no one could hear anything. People started to try and use the telephone method to help people hear. I know times have been strange, and hard but I think this would help in streamlining the process. The pizza was everything I could have asked for! Pepperoni, Mushrooms, and Sausage was a great combination. The pizza was cooked perfectly, tasted great and satisfied my pizza craving. Bocce's has always done great by me, and I will continue to go whenever my wife decides she wants sushi. read more

This is the most inconsistent pizzeria around. Sometimes the pizza is a reasonable thickness and is well made with the right amount of sauce and toppings. Sometimes it is Detroit pizza thickness, very underdone, and swimming in sauce. We always order square cut pizza because it is better when we have the kids and their friends. They actually square cut it one in five times we order it. Sometimes they answer the phone, sometimes not. Sometimes they deliver in a reasonable amount of time, sometimes 90+ minutes. They recently changed over to a delivery service and added an incredibly high delivery fee and then they always ask you to add on a tip for the driver. I always tip but for them to tell me it's $15 for delivery and then proceed to ask me for more is not right. Pay the driver a living wage and don't hit me up for even more money on top of your outrageous fee. The boneless wings are the best thing they make. They are real chicken (not the weird chicken nugget chicken) and meaty. The spice is always as ordered, medium is medium. Their wings are also pretty good. I think we'll start looking for another pizzeria because there is no way to know if they're on and the food will be good and arrive on time or if today is not a good day and we'll get a ton of pizza no one really wants. read more

Ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza last week for me and my family, that had just come back from a trip to Toronto, and decided to order Bocce's as I thought they were a good and reliable choice. Was completely disappointed in the food, pizza was undercooked and came with 5 pepperoni slices and half the pizza was sauceless. My family was in complete shambles due to the poor pizza, and we couldn't have pizza night which is a big family tradition in my family. I've been ordering from Bocce's for 15 years and I've never written a review. I worked in NYC for years and their pizza is very, very good; but Buffalo pizza is different, and many like the contrast. I'm one of them, as I can appreciate the different styles of pizza made across this country. This is classic Buffalo-style pizza. The crust is thick'ish , chewy, sauce slightly sweet but very flavorful, and the toppings quite abundant. Pepperoni very flavorful.
