Lovely calm atmosphere; elegant without being stuffy. Very nice selection of light entrees and soups. Amazing wine selection.

an exceptionally lovely dinner here in florence! it's a tight spot and we had to wait about an hour…read morefor a two top on a Saturday night, but it was well worth it and one of the best meals we had in the PNW. the crab stuffed mushroom starter is a dish I will think about for a while. The caprese was great alongside-- I was already full and still housed the house made focaccia and pesto, truly so incredible. for our main we split the cajun salmon with pico de gallo, mashed potatoes, and side caesar salad. delicious!!! I don't even really like caesar salad that much, and theirs is top notch. they split our plate for an extra $3 and it was plenty after appetizers. lastly, interiors: our table was perfect. they sat us right by the window on the water for sunset. I was only in florence for the night and can tell this is the best spot in town!

You know what you're paying for, the view.....unless you're willing to pay even more; most likely the food will suck and the service will be bad because your waiter is crazy busy. Positives: -the prices were very reasonable and affordable. We got a lot of great tasting seafood and finished everything we had. The seafood boil was great. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing too. -service was great, our waitress was very honest giving us her honest opinion on what we should order. She recommended we share too instead of trying to sell us an additional dish. -ambiance, sitting outdoors on a waterfront you can't beat that. Overall 5/5 I honestly loved my experience so much that I'm ready to leave California behind. California is overrated, that's my honest opinion being a California native of almost 40 years. I used to love it and think that I would never want to leave. I can't say that anymore, especially recently.

We were happy we choose this place to have a light evening meal and a cocktail. Their menu looks…read moreinteresting but we were not very hungry so we opted for the mushroom skewer (2 skewers, each about 5 mushrooms) which had a nice texture but not really much flavor. But the beet salad with ricotta and quinoa was delicious and well presented. We also shared the meat/cheese platter (3 choices for $18): mole salami was really good, Myril lavender goat cheese was excellent and my favorite because of the forward but still subtle lavender flavor, with honey drizzle. And the finocchiona which was tasty because of the fennel flavoring. It was presented with cranberry compote (blah) and a sherry spicy mustard (super yum). And some crostini and crackers. I personally would serve more crackers/crostini with it, we ran out quickly. I had the cocktail Lady on the Flamingo (Jameson, amaretto, orange bitter and ?) and my mother had the Classy Rita. We both really liked the flavors of our cocktail! The restaurant was not busy on a Weekday night. Service was impeccable. And plenty of parking. Cute views to the harbor, but unfortunately it was pretty foggy so we did not see the bridge or very far across the water. Overall, a solid choice when in Newport. Portions are on the lighter side when doing the shared tapas, can't comment on the bigger menu options.

My friends and I have been several times for Wednesday burger night with very disappointing results. I have asked for my burger medium rare and each time it came out beyond well done and so over salted it was impossible to eat. I promise you I am not "that" customer who is difficult, it truly was awful. The staff were kind although a bit dismissive of my concerns. I'll take a Mad Dog burger every time
