My mom and I came here on a Friday morning and it wasn't busy. It took awhile for us to get our food. There were people that came after us and they got their food before us. My mom got the Lilikoi (Passion Fruit) Cream & Pineapple Pancake and I got the BLT Benedict. Both were very delicious. Overall good experience but service could've been better.
Location: It is close by Kapiolani Park and there is parking next to the restaurant but it is small. Service: I think it was average, but there was a pitcher of water on the table. It was busy so understandable. Food: Maki x Cafe Morey: the plate was a big size and Açai on the side. BBQ Chicken: Pretty average French toast: Had a lot of custard flavor. I would recommend coming here. But, there might be a wait depending on what time you go.
Our server was great! The Portuguese Benedict was delicious. The Morey's Fried Rice was just okay. Corn and spinach was an interesting twist, but it did not wow me. Coffee was just alright. My main issue was the birds. They ate my pancakes while I stepped away to ask for something and kept coming back to my table, which was really annoying. I wish I got to enjoy my pancakes some more.

My husband ordered the scrambled egg plate that comes with a side salad, 2 hash browns, and pancakes. There was a waitlist but we got seated almost immediately. It's a cute little place. I haven't been here in a while but the food was just as good as I remember it. There's a small lot on the side of the restaurant but it's a shared lot with the yoga studio so parking is pretty full. You can find parking in the nearby residential area and walk to the restaurant.

I was glad to see they have a small parking lot right next to the restaurant--super convenient on a busy, high-traffic street where parking is limited. I ordered the Morey's fried rice with garlic shrimp and a sunny-side-up egg, along with a glass of their classic lemonade. The fried rice was very flavorful. The only downside was that the dish pictured on the menu (what i ordered) didn't clearly show that the shrimp and egg were add-ons for an extra charge, which I didn't realize until ordering. Because of that, the price felt a bit steep for a single plate. The pancakes on the menu (and in other reviews) look delicious, and I'd definitely come back to try those next time.
The breakfast here was very good. We had the Maki Special plate which included fried rice, garlic shrimp, one egg, and an acai/fruit bowl. All was tasty but for $25 the portions were not as much as expected, maybe at least another egg. We also had the lilikoi (passion fruit) cream with pineapple pancakes. Pancakes were very fluffy and cream topping sweet and a bit tangy. Again, very tasty but $22 seems a bit pricey. The atmosphere is nice. Open air, cafe vibe in a nice neighborhood. Also, very comfortable to sit and enjoy a relaxing breakfast and beverage. The service was good however, I did have to flag someone to get a refill on my coffee. Parking can be a little tough. They have a small lot and street parking can be challenging due to all the other businesses in the area. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast and would probably come back again.
We are always looking for dog friendly options and this place is so great! It's open air dining, and very spacious. They are so accommodating to dogs - we had two with us, and they brought two bowls of water for them. The food was very tasty. We actually ordered 4 fried rice plates, and they were so good. I loved that you can customize the fried rice by asking not to include certain vegetables or ingredients. It was full and there was a short line. We will definitely be back! Again and again!
We were leaving the Saturday Farmer's market nearby and wanted to have a nice sit down breakfast. The restaurant is open and airy. I normally research for gluten free options but figured we could try this place. They weren't very many gluten free options. I ended up getting the mixed fruit chia açaí bowl. Cost was $16 My husband got the kimchi fried rice cost was $15.50 and scrambled eggs was an extra $3.95. We agreed our meals were equally average and pricey. The service was ok. Server seemed annoyed when I asked about gluten friendly options. The menu was labeled with gluten free options but I just wanted to be sure.
Great access to this place, there is street parking and a small lot behind the building. Coffee is ok. Maki plate has a little bit of everything so it's a great deal. Very filling. It was a solid meal. Fried rice was seasoned well, eggs. Garlic shrimp was garlicky, large size. Açaí bowl was basically frozen so great for hot days. The fruits on top were so sweet and yummy. Overall a solid meal if you're looking for something in the area.

A cute hidden gem I found when I took the wrong turn heading back to Waikīkī. I've been on Monsarrat Avenue before but I don't recall seeing Cafe Morey's. The restaurant is painted with bright yellow, pink, teal colors. It's nice, fun with a cheery vibes. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and pointed to an empty table for 2. I'm happy it wasn't by the open window. It was a little windy and a couple of birds flew in. The arrangement is pretty open. It's casual and it feels like very touristy. It's close to diamond head and Waikiki. My friend ordered Morey's breakfast plate. He got scrambled eggs, Portuguese sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and mixed fresh fruits. It's a typical breakfast plate but the fruits on the side added a refreshing touch! I love fruits. It had papaya, pineapple, orange, banana, strawberry and blueberry. He also tried their vanilla freeze. There was hardly any taste of coffee but the vanilla was definitely all over it. I got Morey's breakfast plate. I got over medium eggs, crispy bacon, hash browns, baguette French toast, side order spam and mixed fresh fruits. I also tried their café mocha. It's light with flavors but it's not bad. We're not sure if our server was Pani but one of the waitress said she was new and was not sure of her name. She was nowhere to be found on our way to check out. She checked in on us a few times to see how we were doing. Thank you, Pani :) She was friendly, nice and attentive. They give you the bill and you walk up the counter to pay. Come and check them out. There's a few spots of stalls you can park, maybe 3-4 stalls. Otherwise you'll have to find parking on the street. They are open Wednesday to Monday from 8:00 to 1:00 pm and close on Tuesday. Due to staffing issues, The Burger Stand at Café Morey's will provide a limited burgers & fries menu; from 10.June to 10.July. Hours are 1130a till 300p; then 400p to 800p, daily except for Tuesdays...when they're closed. It's been awhile since I last dined at Morey's. It's in Diamond Head so there is a beachy / surfer's vibe. The dining room is huge ( to the left of the front counter ), open space with large windows providing a nice mix of natural light and breeziness. I got a Double Teriyaki Burger for $10...can't beat that price. Excellent. Walked in and ordered takeaway...waited around 10-12 minutes. I just grabbed a macchiato from ARS Cafe, so that was fine by me. The have combos which include fries and a canned drink for an additional $4. They are on the corner of Monsarrat and Kanaina Ave. A small parking lot is adjacent to their unit - accessible via Kanaina Ave. read more
First time here after hearing about it and this place didn't disappoint parking isn't all that great but other then that the place is wonder vibe is on point place is definitely worth it burgers are so fresh and juicy fries was just right. Service was fast and efficient took little while cause food is made fresh so pleased be patient but I highly recommend this place. read more
A quiet, lovely cafe that has a homey feeling from the first step inside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They care about customer service. I usually don't like sweet breakfasts but when I saw the coconut cream, banana, macadamia nut pancakes I couldn't refuse! And the only time I've ever NOT regretted ordering g a sweet pancake breakfast was today! Of course the side of bacon wasn't a bad idea either . . . It was plenty for my husband and I to share and we want to go back before our visit is over in Oahu! Thank you! read more

My first time here and it was delicious! I had the Haupia cream w/ Banana & Mac Nut (nuts on the side) "Famous" pancakes. Loved it! So light, airy and fluffy...and the Haupia cream was delicious. The banana brûlée on top was just as delicious. My cousin had the Morey's Breakfast plate that she enjoyed too. We also had the Coconut Lemonade Frozen. Just the right amount of tartness and a touch of coconut on the back end. Yummy! I ended up taking half of my pancakes home and shared it for dessert after dinner. The Staff were all smiling, sending out happy vibes. Everyone we encountered was helpful and nice. Service was quick and courteous. We sat at the counter looking out to Monsarrat. Beautiful breezes flowed through the huge open windows while we were eating and talking. Relaxing atmosphere and delicious food! read more

Cute little restaurant. Very clean and the server was very sweet and friendly. I appreciated that I got a jar of water because it was a hot day. I wanted a little of everything and couldn't decide but I loved that my order came with a small açaí bowl, some garlic shrimp, eggs and delicious rice. It was just right. Cafe Morey is a nice casual place to eat for breakfast. I enjoyed the atmosphere as they keep the windows open for a very breezy open air concept. We had the Benedict's, French toast, and coconut pancakes. The basil lemonade was soooooo tasty and my Benedict was very tasty as well. They can have a wait so recommend getting there early for breakfast. The service was very kind and prompt we didn't have to wait long at all for our food or to be greeted. I'd go back! read more

While parking can be difficult with only a small lot that can call for the need for street parking, Cafe Morey is a very cute spot in Diamond Head. It feels pretty open air with a good amount of windows and colorful walls. There are a couple of tables so it can get crowded around brunch. We ordered at the counter directly ahead when entering the restaurant and then sat down at one of the available tables. Our food came out pretty quickly and I ordered Morey's Fried Rice. It was tasty but a bit heavy on the spinach and corn for me. Altogether, it was a very nice dining experience and feels peaceful with all of the colors and sunshine on a nice day! read more

Cafe Morey's is a must stop when in Oahu! The restaurant itself is so light and airy, you really get to appreciate where you are. I ordered the Maki special and it was SUCH a good bang for your buck; a large serving of fried rice, garlic shrimp, eggs any style, and a little açaí bowl on the side. The fried rice and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The shrimp was garlicky and plump - so good! The eggs, which I got scrambled, were also cooked perfectly (I HATE dry eggs, these stayed moist and fluffy). Lastly, I was so excited for the little açaí bowl side - so much more unique than a side of fruit, and it was even topped with fruit and granola! I washed it all down with their frozen basil lemonade and couldn't have been happier l. The service and atmosphere was wonderful and I will certainly be coming back when I'm in town! read more

A cute little breakfast spot located in the Diamond Head area! Love the spacious seating with the open windows. Parking lot is small but you can find street parking since it's close to the neighborhood. For food, I ordered the kimchi fried rice and it was honestly just ok. The price is kinda steep for I think either $14.50 or $15.50, plus an additional $1.95 for a fried egg and $5.50 for Portuguese sausage. Which comes to a little over $20 for a simple kimchee fried rice. To me that price seems a bit extreme. My sister got the mini Honu pancake with fruit and she enjoyed it. It was super cute! Especially when they wrote her name in chocolate. Overall, this place was ok but I feel like it's food you can make at home. read more

this place is a gem! I stumbled across this on yelp and it was going to be a busy day so I wanted us to be ready for the day ahead! We had a big party and we were seated almost immediately on Christmas Day which is hard to find on the island! Other places were over an hour wait!! The staff here was so friendly and attentive, they have a dine in side or an area you can order for takeout. The ambiance of this cafe is adorable, the bright colors, the large open windows bringing in natural sunlight and a breeze. It was amazing. Now the food... probably the best breakfast spot I have ever tried. And I'm usually not a breakfast person. They had options for everyone and a keiki menu as well. Many drink options too!!! The plating was so adorable and the honu pancakes are decorated to look as so When we come back this spot will definitely be on my bucket list. And they should be more busy! read more

Cafe Moreys is truly a staple to me for Oahu. The service is always amazing. Depending on the day, be prepared for a wait but don't be discouraged by the line. They get people in fairly quick. The cafe is warm filled with pinks, yellows, and blues as well as large open windows. It's close to diamond head so if you've just explored there this is a good after hike place. But it's also close to Honolulu so only a short drive away. (Or walk through kapi'olani park) Their drinks are always fresh, and delicious. (Both alcoholic and non) and they have so many wonderful food options. I truly recommend ordering pancakes off the kids menu as they come shaped out as a turtle. The food is great to do either single plate or family style. If you can't stop for food they have a cute gift shop of sorts to purchase a teeshirt, key chain, or a bag. Also they do takeout and an incredible speed! read more
Cute little spot with diamond head as the backdrop. Love the open windows and the ambiance inside. The staff is very friendly and happy. This place was busy on a Sunday mid morning. We waited for about 15 minutes for a party of 5. Portion sizes are good for the price. The presentation of food is also nice. The Benedict was lacking and could have used a fresh slice of tomato and onion. The French fries were good and well as the salad. I ordered the fried rice with eggs and bbq pork. The rice was very oily. Our food took about 20-25 minutes to come out which I thought was a little long. I do like that they give refills on the iced coffee. Overall it is a cute little breakfast/brunch spot. We won't be hurrying back but would recommend you give them a try. read more

Cafe Morey's is an absolute must when visiting Honolulu! It's such a cozy little cafe with incredibly good food, friendly staff and a relaxed island vibe. My boyfriend and I loved it so much that we went back two days in a row! I even bought a super cute Cafe Morey's tote bag at the register because I couldn't resist. Definitely one of our favorite finds from the trip -- highly recommend stopping by! read more

If they ever make another remake of "The Birds", they may want to use this bright, open-window cafe for the opening shot because I don't think I've ever seen such a persistent set of sparrows congregated in one spot. I was getting ready for Tippi Hedren to come in with a bandage wrapped around her head, but they weren't on attack mode, just looking for leftovers. Jamie W. and I noticed how popular this place was on our walk back from Diamond Head, so we came back to try it ourselves. As we expected, there was a wait for a table, about fifteen minutes. The breakfast menu was quite appetizing with pancakes, French toast, eggs, and yes, salads. Jamie ordered the $15.75 Mushroom, Onion & Spinach Scramble, and it came with salad and fries (photo: https://bit.ly/409Yfmp). For an extra $1.50, he got a side of Baguette French Toast sprinkled with powdered sugar and accompanied by maple syrup (photo: https://bit.ly/3JkkA9Z). I went back to my dad's Hawaiian roots and ordered the $13.50 signature Morey's Fried Rice with spinach, onion, corn, mushrooms, and for an extra $1.50, a fried egg on top.
