    Peanut Butter Bowl
    Audrey E.

Found this hidden gem today on our e-bike ride down to Seal Beach. We were craving some açaí bowls so we decided to give Marina cafe a try and we're glad we did! We both went with the peanut butter açaí bowls it comes with delicious açaí base strawberries, blueberries, banana slices, peanut butter, granola, coconut shreds, and honey. The bowl was delicious, aesthetically pleasing, all ingredients tasted fresh and the açaí was amazing, texture and consistency was perfect! Our new favorite açaí place! We definitely recommend!

Great drinks, strong and perfectly made. This is a to-go establishment that makes each drink with love and consistency. There are no seats nor decor although it is very clean and organized. Drinks are strong yet flavorful. I recommend the Vietnamese coffee. It is a slightly sweet yet bold flavored iced coffee that will give you plenty of energy There is typically just a single worker with a smile to greet you as you walk in. Parking on main street is scarce so you may need to circle the street parking or pay within walking distance.

    Original Milk Tea

Cute little spot right across from the Seal Beach Pier, located in a small strip of shops. The interior is cozy and inviting, and they have a pretty big menu of drinks and snacks. I ordered the original milk tea with boba, but it didn't live up to the setting. The drink was very watered down. It is lacking the bold tea flavor and creamy richness you'd expect. It just wasn't enjoyable, but still tried to finish it since it was a bit pricey. The boba was okay, but overall it just didn't hit the mark. Customer service was just fine. It's not particularly friendly, but not rude either. Just ok vibe, but I wouldn't recommend the milk tea. Maybe other menu items are better, but this one fell flat.

Nutella açai bowl and Mexican hot chocolate

Hidden gem alert! Marina Café has such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the Mexican hot cocoa and an açai bowl, and both were delicious. They offer a great variety of sweet treats as well as savory options, so there's something for everyone. I highly recommend Marina Café to both visitors and locals looking for a charming spot to relax and enjoy great food. I'll definitely be going back. Thank you, Emma, for your help!

This tiny place is located on Main Street, a stone's throw from the Seal Beach pier. It's located next door to Cold Stone. They offer a variety of coffees (both hot and cold) and boba drinks as well as savory and sweet crepes. The interior is so small there is no seating, barely enough room for 3 or 4 people to stand. At the time of this writing they just received city approval for a curb counter so there might be sidewalk seating by the time you read this. On a warm day I ordered a hazelnut frappuccino. The woman, one of the owners, was very welcoming and friendly. It took a minute to make my drink which I enjoyed as I walked near the pier. The frappuccino was cold and refreshing; the whipped cream on top was lapped up immediately. Flavors of both coffee and hazelnut were equally distinct. Definitely a far better frappuccino than what is made by the behemoth coffee chain that supposedly originated it.

Always love coming to Marina , getting an iced coffee, coffee , tea or yummy hot & made to order crepes! Everything is so fresh and good and most of all family owned, the staff is always so happy to see you!

I said, "Yoooooo"! Fresh fruit smoothies, squeezed OJ, Boba, and crepes are all part of my foodie-love language! I can't believe this place has all 4 and does them all exceptionally! I was greeted warmly and given plenty of space to read over & make a great decision. I love the outdoor seating and it's right next to the pier!

I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. I got a honey lavender latte, as I've only tried their drip in the past. The honey lavender notes were definitely there, but the latte is much more on the milky side than coffee side, which is what I didn't like. However, their sandwich was soo good. The turkey and brie has a nice fluffy bread, a healthy portion of turkey, a mix of herbs, and this super sweet and fragrant fig mostarda, which is like a fig mustard spread. Definitely would come back for the sandwich, maybe not the coffee though.

And let's just be honest, my obsession with chai lattes and almond croissants really needs to be studied:) So, naturally, that's exactly what I ordered. I got a chai latte with almond milk, and it was creamy, frothy, perfectly spiced, and just so good. The almond croissant was every bit as sweet, buttery, and delicious as I remembered. One of the reasons I love Ubuntu Café is the location. It's right by the marina, so you get this beautiful ocean breeze while you sit outside and watch people walking by. It's one of those places where you don't feel rushed to leave. They also offered me a half order of their cheese bread, and I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of my favorite things. It comes with a guava and passion fruit jam, and the sweet jam with the cheesy bread sounds like it shouldn't work... but somehow it absolutely does. The thing that really stood out to me, though, was the service. Everyone was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. It just made the whole experience even better. Five stars. No notes. Although they were busy, the staff graciously rearranged tables to accommodate our group of 11, including three little ones. Elizabeth was our server, and she was incredible. We shared a wonderful bottle of Prosecco (served in chilled glasses!), and several of us enjoyed beautiful (and delicious!) coffee drinks. The menu was filled with so many tempting options that it was hard to choose. We all ordered something different, and every dish was outstanding. I'm still dreaming about the delicious chicken grain bowl I ordered and can't wait to try recreating it at home! Ubuntu truly lives up to its reputation as the "greatest neighborhood café." The warm, welcoming, and very kid-friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. Our little ones especially loved exploring the peaceful water feature out front and searching for the little plastic duckies throughout it. The café is also perfectly situated overlooking Will Rogers Mini Park and Colorado Lagoon, making for a beautiful setting. Ubuntu gets an A+ for food, service, and ambiance. Restaurant Review: ANDRADES CAFE on the Peninsula…read more Wanna great tip on a delicious, affordable Father's Day meal in a fabulous location? My family moved to 63rd Place on the Peninsula in 1974 and we've watched the 62nd Place Cafe become a turnstile of failed businesses ever since it was called "Wanda's" back in the day. Well, I am happy to report that we FINALLY have the perfect storm of great food, reasonable pricing and the most picturesque post-meal stroll in the entire city of Long Beach. In a town overflowing with typical Mexican food, I just had the best fish tacos in my entire life (lightly fried white fish with tangy, homemade chipotle sauce---and I typically do not like chipotle, it's THAT good!) Moreover, Andrade's ever expanding menu is not limited to just south-of-the border. My wife had a delicious pesto panini sandwich and my well traveled and well heeled sisters went on and ON about the cheesecake flan desert, the presentation of which rivaled anything you might find at Le Opera or The Boathouse (see accompanying pic). But here's the kicker and why I will start eating here instead of "Ola" across the bay: I treated 5 people out to an early dinner and although only one of us ordered 1 glass of white wine, the total bill was only $125 ($150 with tip). That is a refreshingly affordable bill for an entire family, and then we strolled the most precious mile-long sandbar in the entire city to walk it all off. Drop by and meet Jorge and his wife in person, the nicest folks you will ever meet and they are dedicated to serving quality home-made food at an affordable price. They will even prepare a meal for you that's not even on the menu!! YES, you heard that right. Finally, I asked why there wasn't a line going around the block yet and the humble and gracious Jorge offered, "We're already popular with tourists who rent air-b&b's down here, but the locals are just starting to trust that we're here to stay and waiting for positive reviews from their neighbors before dipping their toe into the pool." Well, you just heard it from a long time resident. Check it out and enjoy this summer!! ---RWS

Ironically, I was actually resistant to coming here. I'm really glad I was talked into it because Nigel's completely won me over. Yesterday I ordered two breakfast sandwiches for breakfast and a separate deli sandwich for my son's lunch. Instead, the deli sandwich was replaced with another breakfast sandwich -- which was actually the less expensive item. My son has autism and is extremely limited with foods he will eat, so this wasn't a minor inconvenience. He ended up without the lunch he was expecting because he will often refuse unfamiliar foods altogether. What upset me even more was the response when I called the next day to explain the issue. Instead of asking questions (the woman gave me a statement TWICE expecting an explanation--please understand the difference between a question and a statement) apologizing, or trying to help resolve the problem, the employee repeatedly responded with: "So you had a breakfast sandwich and it wasn't the right one." It felt dismissive and uninterested, as though the situation was being minimized instead of addressed professionally. I understand mistakes happen in restaurants. (I work in 2 restaurants- one in Seal Beach and one in Long Beach) What matters is how customers are treated afterward. A simple apology, clarification, or attempt to make it right would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the customer.  service I experienced made the situation much worse. It was a $10 dollar loss but a lifetime of a returning customer. I never write reviews- this was absolutely necessary on principle alone.
