    Hanami Coffee
    Eloisa B.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Stopped by for coffee on an overcast, lazy Thursday morning. Was greeted by Luke and Ben who were super friendly and explained their menu items to me -syrups made in-house, Costa Rican beans roasted in-house. All their food + sauces etc etc also made in house . I ordered an Hanami Iced Coffee and it did not disappoint. A customer had just been walking out recommending her pink and brown coffee so I decided to try. The syrup (yes, in-house made) was DELICIOUS. Coffee was a bit tart for me but I don't think I've ever had these beans before so it's never a bad thing to try something new. Luke and Ben were great and the cafe vibe is pretty neat. You can feel the passion for coffee from the people and the space. I stepped in a bit shy of their kitchen closing at noon so I didn't get to try their breakfast fare. They also do offer vegan donuts by Recreational Coffee. There is casual loungey-type seating out front -perfect for a cloudy day but not so much on a hot summer day unless they have umbrellas. Also a few seats inside. It's more of a quick stop enjoy the coffee, have a chat with a friend and then head on your merry way type cafe. Not a sit and do business/homework zone. Because c'mon, you are California and just a hop from the beach. Why be inside! Almost missed this little gem as it's on a fast curve as you are heading down on PCH (it is on the northbouth side.) The only reason I saw it was the cute landscaping and the cafe signs and checkerboard logo out front. The only downside is parking is a bit tight -enough for five vehicles and one handicap spot. Definitely worth a visit if you are heading north on PCH.

Today marked my third time at Neat coffee with my boyfriend. We both have tried different drinks. From the strawberry matcha and strawberry milk to the island dream and apple juice. The staff is always welcoming with their laid back vibe. I immediately think of Shaggy with the two staff members with the shaggy hair. The music is always a hit as well as the wall where mainly children but also adult doodle and write upon. The restroom is a great convenience! Especially when you are making a long trip to Sunset beach and need to refresh before or after coming back from the sandy beach! This will be the spot from now on! My only complaint is not having merch representing this location!

Absolutely love this place! The vibes are so chill (saw the cutest dog), ordering is easy, and the turnaround is super quick. I had the most delicious avocado toast paired with a Mexican Coke, and it was the perfect combo. I loved coming here with my little cousin on Saturday morning. Such a cute spot to relax, eat, and catch up. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Neat Coffee is a new owner at the former LUV Coffee. Neat is continuing the service of high quality beans , roasted on the property. They have done some nice upgrades to the physical appearance and increased outdoor seating. This is a no wi-fi shop, with a phonograph and vinyl albums that customers can use and enjoy . Staff is friendly. Coffee is very good.

We were so sad to see LUV collective close but Neat Coffee is a welcome addition to the community! First, the decor is super fun with a little funky flare which was a change from the earthy chill vibes of its previous time. Don't worry- they still have the coffee roaster! Hints of orange sprinkled throughout with music playing on vinyl. The service is top notch, welcoming and so helpful. We both got a latte with house made almond milk and my husband got an iced tea to go. All three drinks were delicious. Looking forward to seeing them build out their menu and trying more drinks and food!

Updated review!!! We are regulars here :) the staff is incredible- everyone is so nice and genuine. The owner even waves! The breakfast is amazing- you NEED to try the avocado toast and breakfast burrito. Chefs kiss. I love my usual drink the strawberry matcha. Favorite coffee shop and always kind people stopping by to chat!

Yummy food and a cutie space! Definitely get the breaky rito. Everyone was super nice and helpful!

Great coffee, welcoming staff and cute interior! Love to see independent coffee shops like this. Super charming with parking and outdoor seating.

CUTEST NEW NEAT LOCATION. Ordered a hot "the nice one" latte with whole milk half sweet. The indoor seating area is so cute and perfect for catching up with a friend. The barista was super friendly & accommodating, and would definitely come back if I was in the area!

I love Neat Coffee! The whole team is so friendly and kind. My go to is a cortado with oat milk and it always hits the spot. It's the perfect spot for a quick coffee with good music and nice book.

I came here on a friday morning with my mom and waited around 10-15 minutes I believe. Once we were sat, we decided on ordering the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the nutella french toast. For drinks we ordered the dirty chai with oatmilk and a regular chai latte. The drinks were okay nothing too special. The outdoor seating was very cute, super nice since it is right by the beach. As for the food, I thought the burrito was okay, I can't say it was something I'd come for again. As for the nutella french toast, it was also okay, put nutella on anything and I'll eat it, but I'd love to come back to try other things on the menu. The service was okay, my server was not very attentive, and I was looking for her everywhere, but maybe it was a bit busy.. Overall, this is a very cute spot, I would come back to try other things on the menu due to the location and wide variety on their menu. As for the service, I'm hoping it was just a backed up and stressful day.

I went into javatinis since it was right there and I felt bad about just asking for a water without paying so I ordered an iced latte (even though I don't care for their drinks). After I had already paid, I asked them politely for an iced water. They said they would have to charge. I was like "what? Even though I paid for a drink?" And the girl said "yes we charge for the cost of the cup." So pathetic. So I walked over to bogarts fully expecting to have to pay for something else I didn't need just to get an iced water for my toddler. The girl at bogarts, without hesitation, gave me an iced water. I said "are you sure? I can buy a muffin or something" she said "seriously it's no problem." And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I tell all of my seal beach family and friends to only go to bogarts from now on.

The carpets and walls are "rustic" if you're being generous, but honestly they looked cigarette-stained and filthy. The service was atrocious too. It took nearly THIRTY MINUTES just to get tea. Tea. Not a five-course meal. Then we waited OVER AN HOUR for finger sandwiches that tasted like cafeteria scraps. Most of the food was genuinely awful. The only remotely edible items were the tomato soup, cucumber/egg sandwich, and chicken quiche -- except the quiche wasn't even included and cost an extra $22, which is insane for a place already charging premium prices for mediocrity. The "egg sandwich" was basically stale yellow bread with microscopic traces of egg. And whoever decided HAM AND BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE belonged in a finger sandwich needs to be fired immediately. Even the table decor looked terrible. Every table had random mismatched pieces from different sets instead of a cohesive theme, so the whole place just felt cluttered, lazy, and disorganized. Nothing about this experience felt charming or intentional. I waited over an hour to eat garbage in a room that smelled like dust and neglect. Absolutely do not recommend. I wasn't paying, but the experience costed over $100 (including $60 from a groupon).
