Stopped by for coffee on the weekend and neat did not disappoint! They offer a great selection of coffee, espresso, and matcha, with plenty of dairy-free options like oat and almond milk. They also had a few hot food items for sale, albeit not a lot of choice. I opted for the latte sub oat milk and added vanilla syrup, which was great, and my friends enjoyed theirs with brown sugar syrup. The space itself is super cozy and thoughtfully decorated. Service was great. They also have a lot of space outside which is perfect by the beach to get the beach breeze. Only thing is parking is quite difficult as there were only a few spots but you were able to park a bit further down so that was nice. read more

My manager knew me so well and got me a strawberry matcha from here... it was the perfect surprise! It was the perfect amount of sweetness and the matcha was strong. The balance of matcha and strawberry was perfect. I also loved that the strawberry tasted fresh and not artificial. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Stopped by for coffee on an overcast, lazy Thursday morning. Was greeted by Luke and Ben who were super friendly and explained their menu items to me -syrups made in-house, Costa Rican beans roasted in-house. All their food + sauces etc etc also made in house . I ordered an Hanami Iced Coffee and it did not disappoint. A customer had just been walking out recommending her pink and brown coffee so I decided to try. The syrup (yes, in-house made) was DELICIOUS. Coffee was a bit tart for me but I don't think I've ever had these beans before so it's never a bad thing to try something new. Luke and Ben were great and the cafe vibe is pretty neat. You can feel the passion for coffee from the people and the space. I stepped in a bit shy of their kitchen closing at noon so I didn't get to try their breakfast fare. They also do offer vegan donuts by Recreational Coffee. There is casual loungey-type seating out front -perfect for a cloudy day but not so much on a hot summer day unless they have umbrellas. Also a few seats inside. It's more of a quick stop enjoy the coffee, have a chat with a friend and then head on your merry way type cafe. Not a sit and do business/homework zone. Because c'mon, you are California and just a hop from the beach. Why be inside! Almost missed this little gem as it's on a fast curve as you are heading down on PCH (it is on the northbouth side.) The only reason I saw it was the cute landscaping and the cafe signs and checkerboard logo out front. The only downside is parking is a bit tight -enough for five vehicles and one handicap spot. Definitely worth a visit if you are heading north on PCH. read more

Neat Coffee is a new owner at the former LUV Coffee. Neat is continuing the service of high quality beans , roasted on the property. They have done some nice upgrades to the physical appearance and increased outdoor seating. This is a no wi-fi shop, with a phonograph and vinyl albums that customers can use and enjoy . This place is fucking dope. I literally had the best coffee I've had in 3 years, no joke. I'm from Seattle and obviously a giant coffee snob , maybe it's just where I've been living, but there is no good coffee around so many Boba tea places. Anyway, they have their specialty drink. It's like a maple cold coffee something and it fucking smacks so hard. Shit was amazing !!! And the barista was fucking rad too. We were so sad to see LUV collective close but Neat Coffee is a welcome addition to the community! First, the decor is super fun with a little funky flare which was a change from the earthy chill vibes of its previous time. Don't worry- they still have the coffee roaster! Hints of orange sprinkled throughout with music playing on vinyl. The service is top notch, welcoming and so helpful. We both got a latte with house made almond milk and my husband got an iced tea to go. All three drinks were delicious. Looking forward to seeing them build out their menu and trying more drinks and food! read more

Absolutely love this place! The vibes are so chill (saw the cutest dog), ordering is easy, and the turnaround is super quick. Today marked my third time at Neat coffee with my boyfriend. We both have tried different drinks. From the strawberry matcha and strawberry milk to the island dream and apple juice. The staff is always welcoming with their laid back vibe. I immediately think of Shaggy with the two staff members with the shaggy hair. The music is always a hit as well as the wall where mainly children but also adult doodle and write upon. The restroom is a great convenience! Especially when you are making a long trip to Sunset beach and need to refresh before or after coming back from the sandy beach! This will be the spot from now on! I really wanted to try to be more positive! I revisited Neat coffee recently so they had more time after their opening to situate themselves. Unfortunately my Shakerato coffee was just as bad, I can only describe it as sweet bean water, genuinely I'm sorry but that's what it tastes like. It was embarrassing because I brought some friends and one of them didn't like their drink so much she just threw it away. Other than that the interior looks like it's decorated nicely other than having little thought for functionality as the tables are small and chairs uncomfortable. read more

I was disappointed with my visit. The coffee wasn't great -- I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk, it almost tasted like spoiled milk, and the aftertaste was just as unpleasant. I couldn't drink it and had to throw it out. the location was hard to see from the road, and parking was inconvenient I almost passed it by. I was greeted when I walked in and she was very nice. I was driving by and I saw this place and I wanted to stop by because the reviews were high. The interior of the shop is so cute, and I love the 80s inspired color theme. The coffee was phenomenal, and the syrups are homemade which I love! There is no wifi but the vibes are very chill and relaxing, and the outdoor seating is amazing. Best coffee with the best vibes in Orange County. Not kidding. The coffee is seriously so good I dream about it. Roasted in-house FRESH, and you can taste it. Iced Baker Street is becoming my go-to!! It's only been open a couple weeks now, but I can tell this place is something special. There aren't many spaces like Neat Sunset Beach, a third space other than your home or work for connecting with those around you. The baristas + owner are genuinely the coolest and kindest. There are enough shops out there for opening up your laptop, putting your head down, and doing work. The prioritization of connection and presence is what makes this place special. Plus, no wifi/laptops is a brilliant solution for the limited parking and for preserving the communal experience of a cozy little space. Neat Sunset Beach is a continuation of what LUV Collective so intentionally held space for: acceptance, presence, kindness, and love. That's a lot of money for a burrito and it's disrespectful to waste people's money. If your kitchen person can't read and order or doesn't care then maybe replace her. Won't be going back! Our flagship location sits in a residential neighborhood in westside Costa Mesa with plenty of table space for getting work done near outlets or letting kids roam free in the backyard. And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I tell all of my seal beach family and friends to only go to bogarts from now on.

The prices aren't excessively expensive like other tea places either. We got the $40 tea sets which filled us up quite nicely. The scones were absolute beasts and the finger sandwiches were good. Soup and quiche were nice together too. Anyway, the tea is solid and we liked the fruit tea selections though my wife preferred the earl grey citrus more. The espresso was top notch and the blueberry syrup or sauce really added a unique flavor to this latte. The sauce tended to drift to the bottom so make sure you get a straw to suck it up or stir it around. My favorite part of this latte was the salted maple cream on top which was delicious. I was sad the moment I had lapped it all up. The cookie was perfect. Soft & fresh yet sturdy with plenty of huge chocolate chips. The Einspanner Matcha was very milk and cream-forward. Even in the photo, you can see that most of the drink is milk and cream with a relatively small layer of matcha in between. It's unfortunate because the matcha itself actually had a good flavor, and I think a stronger ratio of matcha to milk and cream would have made the drink much better. The Breakfast Sliders had good flavor as well, but the buns were toasted far too much during my visit. The edges were so crispy that they practically fell apart as I ate them. The idea is definitely there, but I would have preferred a much softer and fluffier bun, especially for this style of breakfast slider. Community Goods is a pretty high standard for me, so I don't necessarily expect another cafe to replicate it. Even judging Inc Coffee Roasters on its own, though, neither item was particularly memorable for me. It's not a bad option if you're already in the area and want a quick drink or bite, but there are a few things I think could be improved before I'd go out of my way to come back.
