Wow. Wow. Wow. Stopped by for coffee on an overcast, lazy Thursday morning. Was greeted by Luke and Ben who were super friendly and explained their menu items to me -syrups made in-house, Costa Rican beans roasted in-house. All their food + sauces etc etc also made in house . I ordered an Hanami Iced Coffee and it did not disappoint. A customer had just been walking out recommending her pink and brown coffee so I decided to try. The syrup (yes, in-house made) was DELICIOUS. Coffee was a bit tart for me but I don't think I've ever had these beans before so it's never a bad thing to try something new. Luke and Ben were great and the cafe vibe is pretty neat. You can feel the passion for coffee from the people and the space. I stepped in a bit shy of their kitchen closing at noon so I didn't get to try their breakfast fare. They also do offer vegan donuts by Recreational Coffee. There is casual loungey-type seating out front -perfect for a cloudy day but not so much on a hot summer day unless they have umbrellas. Also a few seats inside. It's more of a quick stop enjoy the coffee, have a chat with a friend and then head on your merry way type cafe. Not a sit and do business/homework zone. Because c'mon, you are California and just a hop from the beach. Why be inside! Almost missed this little gem as it's on a fast curve as you are heading down on PCH (it is on the northbouth side.) The only reason I saw it was the cute landscaping and the cafe signs and checkerboard logo out front. The only downside is parking is a bit tight -enough for five vehicles and one handicap spot. Definitely worth a visit if you are heading north on PCH. read more

They have done some nice upgrades to the physical appearance and increased outdoor seating. This is a no wi-fi shop, with a phonograph and vinyl albums that customers can use and enjoy . Absolutely love this place! The vibes are so chill (saw the cutest dog), ordering is easy, and the turnaround is super quick. I had the most delicious avocado toast paired with a Mexican Coke, and it was the perfect combo. I loved coming here with my little cousin on Saturday morning. We were so sad to see LUV collective close but Neat Coffee is a welcome addition to the community! First, the decor is super fun with a little funky flare which was a change from the earthy chill vibes of its previous time. Don't worry- they still have the coffee roaster! Hints of orange sprinkled throughout with music playing on vinyl. The service is top notch, welcoming and so helpful. We both got a latte with house made almond milk and my husband got an iced tea to go. All three drinks were delicious. I was disappointed with my visit. The coffee wasn't great -- I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk, it almost tasted like spoiled milk, and the aftertaste was just as unpleasant. I was driving by and I saw this place and I wanted to stop by because the reviews were high. The interior of the shop is so cute, and I love the 80s inspired color theme. I just spent $18. for a plain breakfast burrito to go for my kid and the kitchen person gave me a spicy burrito with everything on it. That's a lot of money for a burrito and it's disrespectful to waste people's money. If your kitchen person can't read and order or doesn't care then maybe replace her. Won't be going back! It's fine, so far, I'd say it's a downgrade from its predecessor Luv collective. I geniunely tried to like it but my Rosemary Caramel latte tasted like ice water. I was really let down when they said they had no WiFi. The interior architecture is purposefully uncomfortable for no laptop use. Best coffee with the best vibes in Orange County. Not kidding. The coffee is seriously so good I dream about it. Roasted in-house FRESH, and you can taste it. Iced Baker Street is becoming my go-to!! It's only been open a couple weeks now, but I can tell this place is something special. There aren't many spaces like Neat Sunset Beach, a third space other than your home or work for connecting with those around you. The baristas + owner are genuinely the coolest and kindest. There are enough shops out there for opening up your laptop, putting your head down, and doing work. The prioritization of connection and presence is what makes this place special. Plus, no wifi/laptops is a brilliant solution for the limited parking and for preserving the communal experience of a cozy little space. Neat Sunset Beach is a continuation of what LUV Collective so intentionally held space for: acceptance, presence, kindness, and love. Since the new branding of this coffee shop, my first time here was incredible. I got pour over my first time, which was fire. The concept of costumers being able to choose vinyl and have it roll while having coffee is genius. I loved it so much I came back the same week and got an espresso tonic. I liked it. Service was great. Location (not their fault) is challenging. I had to park down the street and it was a 6 minute walk. When I got there, barista told me no laptops. I can't imagine making the hike again to grab a drink and instantly leave. It's a large space and I think all the effort of getting there is worth it if you can stay a while. I saw them say because the parking lot is small, which I understand. When I got there it was full but within a few minutes completely cleared out and I was alone with an empty parking lot (I wasn't even parked in) for over an hour. I just think that's a hard rule to police. I would lean into comfort and value of a destination spot personally, rather than shuffling people out. Just my perspective. Still worth checking out! The tables outside don't offer a great place to set your drink down as there are huge openings between the slats. I imagine they'll improve that read more

10/10 experience I was a customer of Luv's but learned this shop was changing to Neat coffee. I actually ran into the owner as they were starting the change to Neat coffee and she was very sweet and welcoming and encouraged me to come visit once they were open. I came back and the baristas were very nice and the inside looks super cute. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was delicious.
