I can only think no one was thoughtful enough to say hey customers sitting outside in 40-50 degree weather will ask us to turn on the heaters in the midst of us cooking! The best bagels in OC ! They have a variety of bagels as well as in my opinion the best combinations. You can get lox, they have different cream cheese spreads and all the best quality ingredients My favorite is the east village - some of the best lox I've had. Favorite bagel from them is their Fresno chili bagel absolute must if you like a little spice. They have select pastries that look delicious and also sell fresh squeeze orange juice, along with a fun variety selection of kombucha, sparkling waters and also some unique Wines. This place is a 10/10! Been wanting to come for about a month after I saw a TikTok about it and I made it over here today finally. It was a little crowded inside but they moved the line fast. I think I waited longer in line than for my food. The employees were nice and moved the orders out quickly and efficiently. Now the bagel...100/10! I got the don't go bacon my heart on an everything bagel and it was worth every bite. It was $14, which was the most I've paid for a bagel, but after the first bite it was worth it. Bacon was super thick and cooked perfectly. Probably the thickest piece of bacon I've ever had in a bagel. The scallion cream cheese was phenomenal. The pickled tomato. OMG my new favorite way to eat a tomato. Was just the right amount of sweetness and complimented the bagel perfectly. The crunch of the bagel was exactly what I look for in a good quality bagel. Just perfection. The inside of the place is super cute and there's a patio to eat right outside but I just took mine to go but if you have the time to eat there I definitely would! Came here early on a Sunday and it was already busy. That normally is a good sign and suffice it to say I was not disappointed. These bagels are the real deal. You can taste the difference. I ordered the "Don't Go Bacon my Heart" on the Jalapeño Cheese bagel. I loved that the bacon was thick cut. It honestly felt more like a ham or pork belly. That against the rich chive cream cheese and the briny pickled green tomato... seriously, chefs kiss. I also love that the orange juice is fresh squeezed and they give you a good amount. Probably one of my favorite bagel places because of their unique menu. They rotate their menu and sometimes have weekend only options, but they are all so interesting. I usually go for the Don't Go Bacon my heart on a Fresno and Cheddar bagel, but I decided to swap out the bagel today. I think the Fresno combo is better because of the spice. I'm lactose intolerant and asked for my order to be made with the dairy free cream cheese instead of the regular. They wouldn't do it. I had to order a completely different menu item. I completely understand the reasoning behind no modifications for extremely complicated orders. This is a small shop that has a few indoor seats and a very nice outdoor patio that can sit about 30 people. I thought the bagel was on the tough side however overall this was a great bagel sandwich. My fiance tried the deli classic and he enjoyed his as well. Well this morning, I heard about a new Bagel place; so my Wife and I decided drive all the way to Costa Mesa by John Wayne airport. The bagel choices where small, they don't make an Egg bagel; my wife's favorite but they did have a plan or Water bagel. She had it with lox, and all the fixe'ns. I had their Everything bagel, with cream cheese, double toasted. We also tried their coffee, it was very bitter, and needed more sugar than I normally would have. My wife had Ice Tea, which was average, but they offer refills, every other places do. The bagels where okay we enjoyed what we had. Bittersweet experience. I truly love this place and come here every weekend. I'm currently 8 months pregnant, and as many know, standing for long periods can be very difficult during pregnancy. Most places are understanding and accommodating. I understand there are signs stating that seating is for customers who have ordered, but because my blood pressure can go up or down when I stand too long, I sat down briefly. You know it's good when there's a line going out the door or if they sell out at 2pm on a weekday lol. The first few times I went I was willing to wait but now seeing how successful this place is I'm not sure why the person working the cash register has to make the drinks AND bring them to the ppl outside? Is Boil & Bake worth the hype? I came on a Sunday morning around 10 am. I wait an HOUR in line. OG: The OG bagel sandwich was very underwhelming. There is a list of bagels you can get for your sandwich and the cacio e Pepe was an extra dollar charge. What I really didn't like about this sandwich was how cheesy it was. I love cheese but the thickness and amount of cheese took away from the other flavors in the sandwich. I found myself scraping some of it off after nearing the end of my meal. However, the eggs were fluffy but the sausage wasn't as juicy and flavorful as I expected. $15 for this bagel is not worth it. Ambiance: The inside is new and decorated but there isn't much space inside to stand for the line this place forms. I overheard customers happy about how there is always seating for customers after they order, that's because you'll be waiting an hour or more to actually sit down so of course there will be seating. There is also a good amount of parking available in the lot. Service: The employees were working hard and were very friendly. However, the system of operations can for sure be improved. The cashier was taking orders AND making drinks. I also noticed NO HAND WASHING in between these two tasks. I like that they offer a variety of toppings, all in abundance. The fully loaded smoked salmon was piled high with all its fixings, and the smoked salmon was nice and fatty. They have an almond spread in place of cream cheese for non-dairy folks, but it has its own sort of distinct, nutty, almost onion-like flavor that didn't really harmonize with the salmon in my opinion. I was intrigued that their bagels are sourdough ("naturally leavened"), but found the texture rather heavy and tough for my taste, though they still toast it nicely. I was really looking forward to try Boil & Bake, and it didn't disappoint! My friend and I came here during a Wednesday afternoon, and there was no line (which I heard goes for very long during the weekends). I ordered the "Don't Go Bacon My Heart" and my friend got the "The Early Bird" both with Cheddar Fresno Bagels. We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches. The bacon in mine was thick cut, which I loved, and I really liked how the tanginess of the pickled tomato cut through the taste of the fat. I also really liked the scallion chive cream cheese it came with. The cheddar fresno bagel was amazing but definitely a bit spicy. I think it paired with the sandwich so well. My friend's turkey sandwich bagel was really nice too. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients used. She paid an extra $2 for cream cheese on the side because the sandwich didn't already come with it, and she chose to try their hot honey one. We ate our meal in their outside patio, which had a good number of tables, but I can tell how it can get quickly filled up over the weekends.
