My boyfriend and I came to boil bay, we were sat by the host and waited 15 minutes at the table with no greeting from a server... other tables around us were coming in and being greeted immediately .. and it wasn't busy. There may have been 8 tables sat in the whole restaurant. I heard good things about this restaurant from my fellow coworkers who just so happen to be servers as well. We were there on Monday for the HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS, despite the gentleman's voice being faint I have never received such and inviting and friendly greeting. Then once he sat us down he provided us with so much information about the menu, Thursday, Friday and Saturday events as well as suggested a few key items to us. Hands down the best greeting and seating I have ever received from any restaurant in my life. KENNY by far has to be the BEST HOST IN THE 757, why is he not the Front House Manager? It was my first time going yesterday. I am a seafood lover. I know good seafood. I got the boil with Shrimp, black mussels crab legs and every bite was delicious. Whatever sauce they did the boil in was creamy and flavorful. Was very impressed. The other seafood boil places has nothing on boil bay. I will definitely be back with more family and friends. I went there yesterday around 1 and the wait was long for no apparent reason there were only 3 booths of ppl waiting on food. I ordered a oYster basket and the oysters were so wet and under cooked I had to trash them! My fiance had to wait forever for his fries that should kf came out with his wings! I took my corn and potatoes to go and wasnt offered or given a bag. I had to ask the manager on my way out the door for a bag for my seafood. Took a bit for us to get a server to help us. Once we had service everything was great. It's not very bright inside even when the sun is out. Crawfish was just ok but the crab legs were good. Sister in law told us about Happy Hour and we decided to meet up and go. We arrived around 430 and it was pretty decent inside. Wasn't too many customers, atmosphere seemed relaxing. Anywho it was five of us. We were seated at a 6 person table. The waiter, she didn't seem to get our order right. Had to repeat 4 times, she didn't refill our drinks. So y'all i just came here for lunch right! Everyone knows how much of a Shaking Crab fan I am BUT y'all , y'all have to try this new spot off Holland and Warwick by Lidls. First off I walked in and the guy at the front , made my whole mood! He was super nice and energetic and made me so excited to be there! My waitress Dashay was also super nice kept checking on me , stayed very alert! But y'all the kicker is, their HAPPY HOUR isn't just drinks it's the foood too! I had a pound of crab legs(12$) and shrimp with the head off($9) in the Boil Bay Specia Sauce which was really good because Zeafood Boil down on military special sauce is not good at all. And I love the Shaking Sauce at Shaking Crab but that Boil Bay sauce gives off a different unique good god almighty flavor! I ain't even need the butter I asked for! Y'all they got a stage set up on their with live music , they have a bar which Shaking Crab doesn't and y'all the service and the food was just amazing ! I have dined at a few restaurants from coast to coast that offer a unique dining experience like the "seafood boil bag" and I'm here to tell you this; Boil Bay has it going on with their sauce. I got a Combo B with shrimp and crab, Boil Bay special sauce and mild heat .....awesome! If you don't know how to eat crab or are not patient then substitute it for another seafood item. First three times I tried it last month it was AMAZING almost as good as shaking crab and I became hooked on the crab broil special for 10$ to the point where I came on a Saturday with my brother and spent 70$ on a combo beacase happy hour was over. The crab was literally so good it didn't matter. Even felt the need to give them 5start rating. I came back with my girlfriend next week to see that the happy hour special went up two dollars and took a potato away. The happy hour special seems pointless now that they only give u a crab a Mini Potato, and a mini corn with half the sauce for 12$ I also had added a half pound of sausage and still wasn't full after now spending 20$ I was very disappointed Great overall place I will still return but it will not as frequent, hopefully that was a fluke read more

Very disappointed. Drove 20 minutes to get there in order to get some seafood for my wife and I for our anniversary dinner since everything is on lockdown from Covid 19. I enter the building and was greeted by a young lady that hands me a menu and explains that we would have to call in the order or order online. Ok... I'm good with that. I expected it. I then go out to my car and while sitting in their parking lot littered with surgical masks called in to place my order. I planned on ordering two Boil Bags totaling over $100. When the person on the other end of the phone answered I began to tell them I would like to order for pickup. The young lady they just told me I can call in tells me that they do not take call in orders and that I would have to order online. WHAT??? I was just in there and you told me I can call in my order. I was so pissed that I didn't even want to give them my business. From Boil Bays parking lot I ordered from the Twisted Crab at Greenbrier Mall. Same amount of food (sold by the pound) and a better price. I parked and went in to pick up the food and had a nice dinner. Poor hurting waitstaff at Boil Bay missed out on a great tip. I've been waiting for this place to open, and finally had the chance to check it out last night. The ambiance was very nice, friendly staff. Our server, Linda, was very helpful in walking us through the menu and telling us about the business. Seafood was very fresh, and the sauce (boil bay sauce) was awesome.
