Yesterday was was third visit to Bool Bay. It's become mine and my cousin's new fave for seafood. YUM!! I just love a good seafood boil. Each time I enjoyed a combo B with double shrimp with the head on (you can order yours with them off, there is an up charge for this) and the sauce that is a mixture of all of their sauces (The boil bay special) The restaurant itself is nice and spacious with neat decor. There is even space for when they do karaoke. We were invited back for karaoke and for live music. Service here has always been great. I've never had issues with my order and the food always comes out very quickly. That boil-bay sauce honeyyyy is something special! It is a blend of all of their sauces combined. We ordered wings, tossed in boil bay sauce-(not on the menu, just ask). Seafood bags, Loaded with the shrimp, crab legs, sausage, corn and potatoes. Everything was super fresh and tasted amazing. I will definitely drive another 30 minutes just to pass four other seafood places to get here because of the sauce alone.... Tonight I ordered the Cajun rice medley and the catfish basket (my selected side was Cajun fries). The catfish is soooo light and flakey, it barely feels like I'm sinning by eating fried food lol! The Cajun rice is so flavorful; I didn't even know rice could have that much flavor! It has sausage, chicken, AND shrimp tossed in as well; with just enough Cajun seasoning to not overpower the meat tastes. I felt like a drink was apropos so I tried their "French" martini. The food was straight from the fire, piping hot seafood with multiple options of sauce. You sit in an open atmosphere with high ceilings where you're free to be a little louder. The very large bar has It's own separate area with sits all around it. No vegetable options, but the music sets a group handout tone. This place was about 20 minutes from Virginia Beach where we were staying on the boardwalk. They open and 12:30 and there was a crowd outside waiting at 12:15 when I pulled up. Once inside I found out why there was a crowd. HH started at 12:30!!!!! You just made my day!! They had food HH specials and we grabbed a few mussels with French Fries and a few ponds of crawfish and shrimp with the head off. It was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I will be back when I come back down to Va Beach. I may just make a special trip on a Sunday if I feel like taking the drive. read more

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics. Everything looked so good, I tore right into it without stopping to take a picture. We had a small order of the dirty rice just to try it out, and it was very good. Probably the best thing we ate all night. I got the crab legs in the signature sauce and they were pretty meaty. The sauce was great too. As always with these places, you have to make sure you wear a bib and gloves are plus. Both were provided. YUMMY! If you're a seafood lover like myself, you're gonna love this place! I decided to try Boil Boil after my favorite seafood place closed down. I was blown away by the flavor. I've been about 3 times and I've gotten the Option D Seafood boil which consists of 1lb crab legs, 1 lb craw fish, 1 lb shrimp with corn, sausage, and potatoes. I also added more corn and potatoes. Me, my dad, and daughter can all share one boil. Make sure you get the Boil Bay sauce which is all of the flavors combined. I tried the lemon pepper wings once but wasn't impressed. I'll just stick to the seafood. I haven't personally dined in but it's usually quite a few people dining in when I go pick my food up. It's very clean and the employees are always polite. I come here very often they even have live music sometimes. It's a welcoming atmosphere and decorated very nicely. If you're looking for some good seafood this is the first place I recommend.
