The food has always been good. We have gone since they opened, but in recent years, the product has gone down. First, the company decides to get rid of a few of our favorite soups (the Thai Tomato) then they replace it with some new dishes which is fine. I get it, product needs to change because of cost and all. The problem we had with our visit was that they were out of every soup except for four. Typically they have 14 options in total. Why replace our favorite dish with other dishes then not have those dishes? It doesn't make sense. The winter Melon tea is super delicious though. I think if the company stops trying to make Boiling Point so complicated, it would be awesome! For now, it's just meh. read more

I feel like this BP location deserves an updated review. For the past two years or so, I've seen a shift towards improved wait times and customer service, at least the times I've been there which includes lunch and dinner times. I'm not sure if management changed, but my main gripes--service and wait times, have improved somewhat. Food is good as always (especially that Taiwanese Spicy), and although price has increased a bit over time, they claim to give more meat and unlimited rice to help make the increase in price seem more worth it. Great place for the occasional dine-in. Note that you're still able to get unlimited rice after you've ordered vermicelli, or at least I've never had an issue. I appreciate the free little bowls of udon for the kids too (up to one per kid, but some servers are nicer about it). read more

I recently found out this location is under new management, and you can definitely tell--in a good way. On previous visits, we'd be seated and end up waiting over 30 minutes before anyone even came to help us. After ordering, we'd still wait another 10 minutes or more for our food. This visit was a completely different experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Service was much faster, and we never felt forgotten. The food is still just as amazing as it's always been. It doesn't seem like anything has changed with the menu or the quality, which I'm happy about. The only small change I noticed is that the kids' meal now only applies to children under 5. That's not a huge deal, but personally I think it would make more sense if it were available for kids up to age 11. Overall, the new management seems to have made a noticeable improvement to the service while keeping the great food that keeps us coming back. I'm looking forward to visiting again. read more

What a disappointing experience. I brought my parents (84-year-old mom and 92-year-old dad) to dinner at approximately 4:10 PM. The restaurant was nearly empty -- maybe 3-4 parties total. We were initially told by an employee to sit anywhere, then immediately afterward told we needed to sign in and wait. Confusing, but okay -- we signed in around 4:15 PM. Then we waited...and waited...in a mostly empty restaurant. I politely asked multiple times whether we could place an order. One waitress responded, "Sorry, I just got here," which did nothing to address the situation or explain the process. What became frustrating was watching a party of 10 get seated while several members of their group arrived later. We were told, while pointing to that group, "they were here first." Only 2 of the 8 were present when we arrived. Maybe they technically checked in first -- but from a customer perspective, when a nearly empty restaurant leaves elderly guests waiting without explanation while accommodating a large incomplete party, it feels dismissive and poorly managed. We left, utterly dissapointed. This isn't about getting special treatment. It's about basic hospitality, communication, and situational awareness. Recommendation to management: * Train staff on guest communication and ownership ("I just got here" is not a customer-facing solution). * Establish and consistently explain seating policies. * Empower hosts to use judgment for elderly guests and small parties when capacity clearly exists. * Review camera footage from approximately 4:10-4:45 PM to evaluate queue handling, staff coordination, and whether customer experience matched intended policy. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: I really like this location because it's very spacious, unlike the GG location. They have a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. All tables and chairs were clean. We visited during early dinner hours on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. More foot traffic came around 17:00-19:00. Service: Shout out to our server Jewel! She's attentive and courteous. She checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Throughput was also quick after ordering. Food: My go-to is the House Special or Beef. I decided to go with the Beef, mild, and rice. It came with a generous amount of protein, vegetables, and toppings. I also got rice in the side. Noodles and ramen cost extra. The soup base was very tasty with a nice kick to it. They also offered some specials like 50% off milk teas and happy hour during specific hours. I love boiling point! I came here quite often and stacked up a lot of reward points but I honestly have not come in so long. I think it's bc I can go to Broth Shabu down the street for roughly the same price and get ayce. Before you come for me, I know that one is Taiwanese and the other is japanese, so I'm aware they're diff cuisines but to me if I'm craving for a good soup/meal, I always consider quality and bang for buck. However, I came on my birthday because they offer a free small pot + drink for guests dining in. All you need to do is show proof with valid ID and it has to be redeemed on your actual birthday. My normal go-to is the #8 Taiwanese spicy! it's a large spicy pot with ramen noodles and lots of protein (beef, pork, and some seafood). But for birthdays, only small pots are included, so I opted for the #4 beef pot. This is a very popular choice, however it was my 1st time having it. Unlike the taiwanese, the beef pot allows you to choose your spice level- I chose mild (I was recovering from a stomach bug, so I wanted to play it safe) The beef pot is very similar to the taiwanese pot imo. It has vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, fish cakes, pork ball, and some seafood. The mild spice had a little kick but nothing too crazy. It also comes with a side of noodles or rice, I just rice. I honestly thought the small size wasn't going to be enough but I ended up not even finishing it and had the rest taken home. For my drink, I was recommended the assam black tea by my server. I very much enjoyed it! There was just the right amount of sweetness to it but you can also customize how sweet you want it too. It's been sooooo long since I've had BP. I always go to Ranch but didn't know this was even here. We went to eat on a Sunday around 7:30pm. No online waitlist so you just write your name and party size on the clipboard. It took us about 20 mins to get seated. Come early to skip the line, or grab boba nearby because it could take a while. My absolute go to restaurant for hot pot! I always go for the beef with a meat lover upgrade, as well as a side of spicy tangy beef. I love that there's a good mix of meat, vegetables, fish cakes, and noodles in the hot pot. Their spice levels are somewhat inconsistent each time you go, so I usually just opt for no spice and just add the chili oil myself. I love that when it's lunch hours, from 11am to 3pm, you can get a free green or black tea with each hot pot order. Otherwise, if I go for dinner, I get an amber oolong milk tea with boba. The milk tea itself is pretty light and creamy, which is perfect when paired with the beef hot pot. Service can be a hit or miss at this location. Lately, I've been going at night around 7 to 8 pm and this last visit took around 30 minutes before we got seated. There were at least 3 to 4 tables open around the 15 to 20 minute mark of waiting, but no server wanted to seat us just yet. I do appreciate that as soon as we got seated that a server asked us if we were ready to order. This time around, the food didn't take as long to come out-- maybe around less than 10 minutes. Sometimes, I personally have to flag down the servers for water refills or to turn off the fire for the hot pot. Other times, servers or trainees are consistently coming around to ask if anything is needed. I do wish that the service was a little more consistent, but coming from experience in the food industry, I understand that it can get busy at times. If I were rating food alone, it'd be a solid five stars. Just a heads-up, it's listed as "pig oil rice" in Chinese, which gave us a laugh. It's rich and delicious, but definitely something I wouldn't indulge in too often. It feels like it goes straight to the waistline. I also requested my miso broth without the imitation crab meat. The iced tea included with the lunch sets is pre-made, so your only options are with or without sugar. My bowl had wood ear mushrooms that stayed tough the entire meal, which was a bit off this time. It also seemed like the staff checked whether there were any premade drinks left before telling us the promotion had passed. I didn't argue and just continued with my meal. Then, near the end of our meal, an employee named Joy brought us the receipt. I asked for the lemonade with chia seeds that they normally provide at the end of the meal. She told me they were out and there was no more. However, shortly afterward, I saw another employee bring out a whole tray of the same drinks from the kitchen. That made me feel like the staff simply didn't want to provide what we were asking for and used "we're out" as an easy answer. If the item is available, customers should be given an honest answer and proper service. The food may be okay, but the customer service and communication really disappointed me. Visited this establishment on a rainy weekday around 2 pm. It was crowded, we waited a little over 10 minutes for a table. The Thai tomato was very very spicy but Apa was still able to tolerate the heat. The broth was so red compared to my light colored miso. I ordered my miso bowl mild and it still had great flavor and some spice to it. It's a little messy peeling the shrimp that comes with the head m, very tasty nonetheless. I always feel silly when I ask them to turn off the fire very soon after it is served. I just can't eat it to a boiling point. It stayed nice and hot the whole time with the flame off. Stopped by Boiling Point in Artesia for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how clean this location was--especially compared to some of the locations near DTLA, which tend to be a bit less well-maintained. I had the Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup, and it was a solid choice. The kimchi broth mixed with soybean paste created a nice depth of flavor, and the pork belly was decent. The vegetables worked well enough in the soup, though nothing particularly stood out.
