    Nearly empty at 4:10pm.
    Mel D.

What a disappointing experience. I brought my parents (84-year-old mom and 92-year-old dad) to dinner at approximately 4:10 PM. The restaurant was nearly empty -- maybe 3-4 parties total. We were initially told by an employee to sit anywhere, then immediately afterward told we needed to sign in and wait. Confusing, but okay -- we signed in around 4:15 PM. Then we waited...and waited...in a mostly empty restaurant. I politely asked multiple times whether we could place an order. One waitress responded, "Sorry, I just got here," which did nothing to address the situation or explain the process. What became frustrating was watching a party of 10 get seated while several members of their group arrived later. We were told, while pointing to that group, "they were here first." Only 2 of the 8 were present when we arrived. Maybe they technically checked in first -- but from a customer perspective, when a nearly empty restaurant leaves elderly guests waiting without explanation while accommodating a large incomplete party, it feels dismissive and poorly managed. We left, utterly dissapointed. This isn't about getting special treatment. It's about basic hospitality, communication, and situational awareness. Recommendation to management: * Train staff on guest communication and ownership ("I just got here" is not a customer-facing solution). * Establish and consistently explain seating policies. * Empower hosts to use judgment for elderly guests and small parties when capacity clearly exists. * Review camera footage from approximately 4:10-4:45 PM to evaluate queue handling, staff coordination, and whether customer experience matched intended policy. Common courtesy and common sense are part of hospitality. This experience missed both. To Manager Ms. Nguyen, please address this.

My local spot for when I'm craving hot pot! I usually order the beef pot and it never disappoints. When you go around their lunch special hours you can get a free tea with your pot. The beef pot is delicious, bursting with flavors. I usually get my broth mild because it's pretty spicy. I get it with vermicelli. Service is great, staff members are super friendly, tentative, and efficient. Ambiance is nice, there's descent amount of booths and tables. There's always a wait, but they have a iPad for you to put your name on the waitlist.

Ambiance- casual, cozy, welcoming. Only issue is tables are a little to close to one another. Service- Fast, efficient, welcoming, not overly attentive. Food- Great overall. Good place to go for hot pot. There are so many all you can eat hot pot places, but the good thing is, you won't overeat here. Still a generous portion to have you feeling satisfied. I ordered the Thai version for myself, medium spice and it didn't taste spicy at all, so maybe order a higher spice level if you prefer some real heat. PSA- We asked if trading the rice or glass noodles for udon noodles was ok, he said, yes. Well, we were charged 3.25 for each small udon noodle serving. I wish he would have said, "No, but there is an additional charge if you would like a side of udon". Honey fresh milk tea- perfect, not too sweet.

Am I crazy for eating hot pot in 90 weather? Absolutely lol. I've been to the Boiling Point in Garden Grove many times, but this was my first visit at this location. Parking: Free parking lot. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: I really like this location because it's very spacious, unlike the GG location. They have a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. All tables and chairs were clean. We visited during early dinner hours on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. More foot traffic came around 17:00-19:00. Service: Shout out to our server Jewel! She's attentive and courteous. She checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Throughput was also quick after ordering. Food: My go-to is the House Special or Beef. I decided to go with the Beef, mild, and rice. It came with a generous amount of protein, vegetables, and toppings. I also got rice in the side. Noodles and ramen cost extra. The soup base was very tasty with a nice kick to it. They also offered some specials like 50% off milk teas and happy hour during specific hours. Pricing: Don't forget to scan your BP points through the app. Prices have gone up over the years. It's worth it every once in a while.

What I Ordered: Beef ($20.45) Korean Bean Paste ($19.98) Garlic Pork Belly ($6.41) Scallion Gravy Rice ($2.83) Pudding Sweet Milk with Boba ($6.45) Food: Boiling Point's Hot Soup is always a good old reliable for a warm bowl of soup. My personal favorite is the Beef Hot Soup, which comes with beef, fish cake, and assorted vegetables. The broth is rich and savory and you can choose to get it with either rice or vermicelli noodles. I personally get mine with rice and choose the Mild spicy level. Don't forget that at lunch you can come for cheaper prices and free tea! It was my first time getting appetizers here, but I loved my Garlic Pork Belly, which is thinly sliced pork belly with a strong and savory garlic flavor. I love wrapping some rice with the pork belly and eating it all together in one bite. Staff: All staff members were friendly and provided quick service! Ambiance: The inside of the restaurant is modern and clean. Huge parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza. Indoor seating only.

Came here craving something spicy, and this spot definitely delivered. My go-to order is the #4 Beef Hot Soup with medium spice, and I always recommend getting the beef upgrade. It's consistently good every time honestly hard to go wrong with it. The ambience is pretty average, nothing too special, but it gets the job done for a casual meal. Service was solid as well. The staff were friendly and kept checking in on us to make sure everything was good. I went when it wasn't too busy, which made the experience even smoother. Overall, a reliable spot when you're in the mood for something hot and spicy. Definitely worth checking out.

I love boiling point! I came here quite often and stacked up a lot of reward points but I honestly have not come in so long. I think it's bc I can go to Broth Shabu down the street for roughly the same price and get ayce. Before you come for me, I know that one is Taiwanese and the other is japanese, so I'm aware they're diff cuisines but to me if I'm craving for a good soup/meal, I always consider quality and bang for buck. However, I came on my birthday because they offer a free small pot + drink for guests dining in. All you need to do is show proof with valid ID and it has to be redeemed on your actual birthday. My normal go-to is the #8 Taiwanese spicy! it's a large spicy pot with ramen noodles and lots of protein (beef, pork, and some seafood). But for birthdays, only small pots are included, so I opted for the #4 beef pot. This is a very popular choice, however it was my 1st time having it. Unlike the taiwanese, the beef pot allows you to choose your spice level- I chose mild (I was recovering from a stomach bug, so I wanted to play it safe) The beef pot is very similar to the taiwanese pot imo. It has vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, fish cakes, pork ball, and some seafood. The mild spice had a little kick but nothing too crazy. It also comes with a side of noodles or rice, I just rice. I honestly thought the small size wasn't going to be enough but I ended up not even finishing it and had the rest taken home. For my drink, I was recommended the assam black tea by my server. I very much enjoyed it! There was just the right amount of sweetness to it but you can also customize how sweet you want it too. Overall I really enjoy my meals here, the service is great, and the ambiance is not too loud. I'm so grateful that BP offers this birthday freebie, it's a nice way to treat ourselves on our special day!

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free hot pot & drink on your actual birthday Lunch orders include drink of choice Taiwanese Spicy- I am never ordering this againg! Mala (Hot)! As I've become older, my heat tolerance has slowly dwindled down from what it once was. Pondering between the Taiwanese Spicy & The Hot Green soup, I was told the Taiwanese Spicy cannot be adjusted for heat, but the Hot Green can. Believing I'm muy macho, and hearing from a fellow customer in line that her favorite is the Taiwanese Spicy, I figured I'd go for it. Yikes! My mouth immediately numbed and eating became a challenge. I had the staff add more broth to dilute, and it only slightly became less difficult to consume. The Taiwanese Spicy was good, loaded with protein. After finishing most of the ingredients sans broth & some vegetables, my mouth started find relief from the heat. Deciding upon having a couple spoonfuls of broth for the LOL's, I immediately felt the pain in my nose and starting coughing. Whew! Hokkaido boba milk tea & jasmine green tea- Lunch orderes come w/ drink of choice, and the birthday promo also includes a drink, hence two free drinks. I wish I could've said I savored these drinks, but I finished these right away, to alleviate some of the punishing burn from the broth. Refreshing, though. Service was excellent. Showing the staff my ID to show it was birthday, they were friendly, hospitable & quick with service. Boiling Point, you are locked in as my birthday destination spot for some nourishing hot pot action in the midst of the August heat wave. I wish I knew about BP's birthday promo sooner, as I would've taken advantage of this wonderful deal numerous times, already.

Boiling Point? More like Lukewarm Point! We should have left when they told us they didn't have fire today and they'll cook the hotpots in the kitchen. The result was lukewarm/cold soup, crunchy noodles, and overall a sad experience. Soup was also overly salty and lacking flavor. Vibes were weird, but at least we still had a good time with friends!

    Madi G.

Super duper good! Boiling point never disappoints , service is quick and easy!! It's not too crowded and we were greeted and sat right away

We came here to celebrate my bf's birthday. They still offer the free birthday hot pot. I got the beef hot pot. Food still delicious. I love the winter melon tea. Service was good. We upgraded the tie with mince pork and extra side of beef. Overall, it's a nice way to celebrate a birthday.

Easy eats hot pot in a strip mall. Was sat immediately for a weekday dinner. Place was clean - your typical boiling point. Took a bit to place an order and we were pretty hungry. Received our food - was pretty good. I drink a bit of water and needed to call the waiter back often for refills. Would come back for an easy soup.

My Asian parents love coming here for special events!! I got the # 6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup with a mild spice level. The soup is served with a fire underneath, but you can ask if you want the fire turned off anytime. The soup was not too spicy, and it tasted great! There was plenty of meat and vegetables, and there are vermicelli noodles at the bottom that are easy to forget. I got my soup with a small bowl of rice, and it was the perfect amount to finish the soup. The employees are super kind and very attentive. We tried to put ourselves on the waiting list on the tablet in the front of the restaurant, and an employee noticed my sister and I and sat us right away. The employees and the trainee would constantly refill our waters, check in on us, and ask if we needed anything. They also said goodbye to us when we left. The restaurant is placed in a huge parking lot so there should be no trouble finding parking. The restaurant isn't very big, it's kind of small. However, the restaurant is very clean and bright. If you have family members that hate dark restaurants, bring them here. I would come here again and continue to order the # 6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup. It's just become my go-to order at Boiling Point

Do u have a private room for 12-15 people?

They do not. The restaurant itself is not very large. Accommodating 12-15 in general might be difficult.

    Do you accept reservations?

They do not accept reservations! They have a tablet in the front of the restaurant that you must check-in on to put yourself on the waiting list.

They have a vegetable soup with clear broth. That is only option.

    What's their most popular item?

Beef pot is their most popular one.

Hopefully this gets addressed soon. I'll note, my server didn't check on us a single time. We were out of water and coffee by the time our check was dropped off. With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. I don't blame anyone but this visit, I think we made the wrong choice. This was my son's first visit and so we decided to order two different items and split it to give him the opportunity to try at least two menu items in one visit. We ordered the Sunday Night Lasagna and the Breakfast Rosa Pizza. The food tasted delicious, but my complaint was the pizza was very spicy. I can handle spice, but this had a kick that the spiciness would hit you in the back of your throat and make you cough uncontrollably because of the spice. It was annoying, but I managed to get through it and finish my share. The other issue about the pizza is it was not cut well. I think they rushed on trying to get it served, but I could not even pull it apart. The table knife couldn't even cut through the crust. That's just poor quality control on the person prepping the item for playing and getting it sent out to the table. As for the lasagna, the meat sauce was great, but our complaint was the portion size. It was thin and small. Some lasagna's I've hade in the past would be a four to five layer thickness. This was just two layers. The bottom pasta, a little bit of meat sauce and the top layer of pasta, with a little sauce on the top and some dollops of cheese. Crunchy and crispy on the outside, and nice soft texture on the inside. It pairs well with the pesto sauce provided. Although, it was a little bit too salty for our liking. The hot honey & prosciutto pizza was good. It was different than what we normally eat, so it was worth a try. It had a kick to it because if the hot honey. I ordered the beef bibimbap in the hot stone pot and 1 bottle of Chamisul Fresh. The bibimbap was good and they used a good cut of beef for it. What blew me away was their Salgogi Sullung Tang that came with the entree. It was super rich, flavorful, and hearty. The bottle of soju was highly affordable at $10. Another close friend of mine was heading over to attend the latter part of the service, so she met up with me for lunch. She ordered the beef rib soup and she loved it. The broth was strained well, but had a lot of depth and flavor. The banchans were good, too. I would come back to this place if I'm in the area or if another celebration of life happens. The venue was clean, bright, quaint, and the waitress was SUPER nice. She managed the front of the house by herself on a Saturday morning/afternoon. A lot of locals come here and I'm glad because their food is legit good.

Lunch specials serve the same dishes in smaller portions. I really like the dirty milk tea drink or passion fruit green tea but never for dinner, otherwise I can't sleep! The waiters are very kind and friendly:Sue, Bonnie, Arnold are the regulars. Kitchen is so efficient with putting out dishes quickly. Lots of space for smaller to bigger groups ( there are three ten seaters) and the rest are square tops that can extend to accommodate more than 4 people.

The restaurant itself isn't anything crazy decor wise, they let the food speak for itself. Staff is friendly but not overly so. They go through the motions, and it works for the ambiance. To be honest, I'm just happy to be there and they provide everything you need so I'm not fussed about not getting doted on. Some of their greatest hits are the house fried fish, wu geng chang wan, and stir fried green beans. Our family almost always orders these items when we go out to eat. Their menu is huge so not everything is top tier but it is a great spot that continues to serve the local community. Can't really ask for more.
