This place brings back so many college memories from over 10 years ago And now, it's become one of our weekly family dinner spots. It's always busy and packed with people, but the staff are super efficient Boiling Point has truly been a favorite across generations. Let's talk about my go-to order: Rose Milk Hot Soup I love lighter flavors, and the creamy, milky broth is always a hit with kids too. And of course, we can't skip the appetizers From the minced pork rice, to the steamed veggies that are perfect for sharing, to their signature spicy tofu, and of course... lots of meat Told you we're a family of meat lovers! I have been to several boiling point locations, particularly in the OC. I understand why the reviews in this location is not the greatest, but wanted to give it a try. I arrived & plenty of parking spots and place was packed with customers. The wait was quick within a 2 min time frame and they directed me to our table. I don't think they knew I sat before the other customers arrived after me and they took their order. Had to flag a staff member down and they took my order. Food arrived and order the beef small pot with white rice. It was very hot and delicious. Overall 4/5. They need to improve on service and making sure customer are well taken care of.

Boiling Point's Lamb Hot Soup was tangy and savory, and Spicy Tofu was crispy and spicy.

My faveeee comfort food!!! I love you forever BP. My go to is the medium beef & rice. Fave drink is Lychee green tea! I miss their classic black tea though ): The tangy beef appetizer is great as well. The service isn't necessarily outstanding, but always fast and attentive. I love how they give free soup refills. I feel like the wait time isn't that as bad as before, but I might just be going on off hours. I'll always crave BP whenever wherever : D

Came here around 8:50 PM, knowing they close at 9:30. Walked in and asked to be put on the waitlist, and the worker (I believe her name was Truong) told us it was a 45-minute wait... meanwhile there were at least 4 empty tables clearly visible. We didn't argue and decided to just order to-go instead. While waiting (about 20 minutes), not a single one of those empty tables got sat. Then another couple walked in, asked about the waitlist, and I told them what I was told--that they weren't taking any more people. But they asked anyway... and somehow got seated right away. That made zero sense. Either there was space or there wasn't--why tell some customers no and seat others? Super inconsistent and honestly frustrating service. If you're closing soon, just be upfront instead of giving random wait times and picking who gets seated.

There is a bug in my pot be careful with their food. I found it while I finished half pot. Very disgusting.

Boiling point is one of my favorites to go to. I enjoy all their hot pots. I wouldn't say it's the bestttt quality but it does get my hot pots fix. Service is amazing too. I feel like the staff here is so kind and attentive to everything I need. It's always busy but tables don't take long to clear up. I think I come like every 2 weeks. If it's not this location, it's another One thing I'd improve on is their points system. It's a little confusing but that's but a huge issue.

Rotten veggies, I'd rather not have any... Wouldn't you?
    C C.

Rotten veggies... Again. Years ago I stopped going there because bp would give me cilantro that was rotten, probably because they were running out. Since then, a couple of years later, i have them a chance and went back. The first time was good, so a week later I went back. Rotten veggies, lots of them directly in the pot, not yet submersed so it's clearly rotten. To the staff's credit, when I called their attention to this, they immediately apologized and told me they'd replace the veggies. The replacements were better, but not up to par. C'mon, this is not a cheap plate, and if you're really out of a certain veggie, I'm sure you can offer a substitute instead of two-week old stuff. (It maybe your fridge is too cold).

What's better to have on a cold night other than Boiling Point? We came here right after we went grocery shopping at 99 ranch supermarket around 9:15pm. Thank goodness there was no wait when we got there. Boiling point is located in the same plaza as Meet Fresh, and other restaurants, and Costco. It wasn't that bad looking for a parking space at night. I don't know how it is during the day. I ordered my usual mild flavored beef hot pot with a side of their vermicelli, and for the drink I'm so used to getting their iced green tea. Mild flavored hot pot definitely has a kick to it. So if you don't usually eat spicy I would recommend getting no spice. I like how their side vermicelli is now in a bag instead of them bringing it out in the open in the bowl. We decided to order their beef bowl with rice and an appetizer (spicy tangy beef). The beef in the beef bowl tasted like beef jerky, not sure if that's how it should be made. As for the appetizer, I feel like they took the beef from my hot pot and poured some spicy tangy oil over it. So nothing to rave about. Service was on point perhaps because they were not that busy. Waiter took the orders and the food came out soon after. I like the fact that they refilled my broth more than once and I didn't have to ask for it. Soon after we got our food the restaurant started to get busy. I always seem to bring the crowd to every restaurant I go to.

Boiling Point has been around for a while and has always been consistent with their hot pots and flavors. I heard that most of the ingredients are pre-packaged so that could be part of the reason. I like coming here for their Beef Hot Pot. It has a good portion of meat and veggies, and you get to choose from a side of rice or noodles. There are already noodles that come with this pot, so you'll just get extra of the same thing. The spiciness is just right too!

First time here and we were skeptical about some reviews but we stuck it out because there were three pregnant women waiting in line so it must be goood !! Yes wait was a while but worth it! Service was GREAT! I read a lot of bad reviews on the service but Chenka was so helpful and so nice. Give that man a raise !!! 10/10. The food was also delicious! I looked like a pregnant girl rolling out of there! Ya'll that say no flavor put some of the little three sauces they have there duhhhhh. Add it in the soup ! Be your own sauce bae.

My sister don't eat beef. She want to eat seafood&tofu hotpot. Can she ask for veggie broth for her seafood&tofu hotpot?

Yes, they do have veggie options.

    Do they take reservations?

No You need to go there and start your waiting list in the restaurant

Do they have gluten free soups?

Do they pick up phone calls? I have tried multiple times different days and I have no one picking up :(

They don't answer calls most of the time due to short staffed since the beginning of the pandemic and they only accept cash.

Can any one confirm hours tonight for NYE? Thanks. Phone line keeps sending me to voicemail, no one picks up.

Trying to call in for an order and no one is picking up. Are they open?

    Yes they are open!

Are there any special deals as of now and what's the best way to eat it to go?

    $5 off $15 or more

Can you order an actual order to go instead of the BP fresh? For example the house special or beef? If so how would a to go order work?

Yes you can order to go, but I don't recommend it. It is better to eat at the place. The reason is when you order to go, they put everything in a container for you. Everything that would be in the mini wok will be in that container. By the time you…

Is their customer service good? 🤔

    Yeah for the most part

Is the soup broth made with pork? Or any soup that is not pork based? Because my friend can't eat anything with pork, and she really want to try good hotpot.

Hi YuTong, We have 2 broths available for all our hot pots. Our regular meat broth is made out of beef bone, and our vegetarian broth is cooked with veggies. Please make…

What time does their lunch price end?

I believe it ends at 3PM

Would you say that one hotpot is shareable between 2 people?

Yes! I love one all to myself but there's enough to share between 2 people. You can always get more add ons for the pot if it's not enough!

I like that the place was clean but one note to the restaurant... me and my family were sweating. I don't know if they can turn the ac mote down or have an extra machine, but it is also probably the heat recently that is quite crazy. Everything is quite self explanatory. You grab the tongs, and grab the ingredients you want and when you are done they weigh your bowl, give you a number and you wait for them to make the food. We gone the bone broth and the tomato base. Tomato base is the only one not spicy so that was good for the kids. We also tried their beef skewers and takoyaki , which was really good too. Overall staff was nice, and they seemed to be quite busy. Glad to see a place like this exists towards the inland empire. Until next time

I ended up getting about a 1.5 lb bowl with the bone broth, and the portion was just right. I was worried about the broth being too oily, but honestly it wasn't at all. You can also add noodles to your weight, and they have a variety of different types, from ramen, udon, etc. They also have a pretty good sauce bar to make your own sauce. Personally, living in SGV, there's way more options for the value point, so that factored in as well. However, I do have to say that service was good. Lots of smiles and it was inviting. It's popular with the community it's located in. We went on a week day night. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Good amount of other customers at table and counter bar seating. We got counter seating for 3 people. No wait. For our dinner, we got the: spicy miso tonkotsu, miso, and the sukiyaki broths, which were all decently solid. A bit light, but not too salty or dehydrating at the least. We all used sauce generously with our order, so maybe we should have sipped more soup or cooked more things in it longer? But we've never had this issue with other shabu places I've been to. For meats, we got the regular sized for all and had the angus beef chuck prime, beef toro, and lamb. Decent quality meat. Slices weren't too thin or too thick. Meat didn't cook and dry up immediately like worse places I've been to. All of our food came with a veggie plate and I will admit some of the lettuce/cabbage leaves weren't the cleanest or crispest so we didn't eat as much of the veggies as we'd like... We also ordered nigiri sushi on the side, which is just okay. Usually we wouldn't get something like that unless it came with the meal like an AYCE. Decent quality salmon, lots of rice and extra arbs on top of your meal though. Overall, it's okay.
