I've been to a lot of boiling point locations and I've always felt like their service was sub-par because the servers never really tended to my needs in a timely manner, but this location is very different. Maybe it's because it's a smaller location, but I can tell the service here is a lot better. Whenever I need something, I can always easily grab a server's attention within a minute or two. One server that really stood out to me was Joshua! He was really kind and always checked up on me to see how we were doing. If you see this Joshua, I appreciate you so much and keep doing what you're doing! Other than the service, food is great! I always get their milk cream curry, but I have dabbled in other flavors. My eldest daughter and I just visited the Lavender Festival at 123 Farm in Cherry Valley. Thought we swing on by Boiling Point for some hot pot soup. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time. It was a warm Sunday, but hey, it doesn't matter when you're indoors in an air conditioned restaurant. Internal body doesn't know it's hot outside LOL. We got here between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM so there was no waiting at all which was nice. So remember, go here between lunch and dinner hours to avoid their peak periods. We ordered the Beef for my daughter and Seafood & Tofu for me. We normally go for the medium spice level, but the gentleman who took our order said he can't handle medium so if we're not into a lot of spice, then mild will be best... we went with mild. However, we think the Beef came out with medium spice because it was spicy hot LOL. Seafood & Tofu was mild for sure. Both soup pots were very good. They come with white rice or vermicelli on the side. Pots were steaming with steam until the end LOL. Tons of fresh ingredients. Good portions of sliced pork. Funny, my Seafood & Tofu had Chinese cabbages at the top so I couldn't see what was actually in my pot until after I removed the cabbages... presentation was a little off there LOL. We also got a couple of their drinks... Pudding Sweet Milk with Boba and Lychee Green Tea... yeah, we're not sure how we feel about them drinks... not exactly their specialty LOL. My drink was milkier than I would have liked. Lychee green tea was a tad off in taste. We'll pass on their drinks next time and go to 7 Leaves afterwards instead. We also tried their passion jelly... it was okay. We ended up ordering a couple hot pots, Miso and Korean Bean Paste and Garlic Pork Belly, to go. Good portions for sure. We didn't know until later on that some pots automatically come in large size while other pots are just the standard size. I'm going to go for the large size next time LOL. Staff was pleasant, but they could smile a bit more. Then again, they were wearing masks so we can't really see their sparkling whites LOL. However, their smile would shine through their eyes. Our order came out timely. Prices were reasonable especially nowadays with everything going up. Parking is plenty... they are located in the same center as Costco so you know there's tons of parking. If you haven't tried Boiling Point, do go and check them out. They do have multiple locations. I've only been to this one in Chino Hills. Happy Hot Potting! read more

Stopped at this branch post covid and it was just as good as I imagined it. As one of the few Taiwanese hotpot places around, you get your bang for your buck here. Albeit the pots are shallow, you will still get full off the bowl of rice and the amount of ingredients in the bowl. My favorite is the milk cream curry and the curry flavor is well pronounced and perfect with the bowl of rice. My wife gets the beef pot mild spicy and trust me when the mild spice is all that you'll need. This location gets busy so be sure to get there a little before the peak hours. read more

We went Friday lunchtime around 11:30AM for a party of 3. They open 11AM-11PM. They removed the middle tables in the middle due to COVID-19. You can order for takeout and it's probably better than dine-in now because of the long wait. I know there's usually a long wait for this place but that day was too long. We waited over an hour and there was people already there waiting before us and even longer. There was no one in the front to seat guests even though there was empty tables. There was a lot of people waiting outside and no waiters were there to clear off the table. You could tell that they were understaffed and that there was a new male worker. During lunchtime, they give you either green or black tea. We were ready to order right away because we waited so long. As soon as we were seated, the customer service was better. They give you sauces in the plastic containers. We ordered the house special, curry, and Taiwanese. The hot pot wasn't as good as before. We waited about 20 minutes for our food and we stayed there for about an hour. The two waitresses that were helping us that day were really hardworking and they were faster. It isn't the worker's fault, but the managers for the understaffing problem. read more

Drink is not the same anymore. You get bigger cup but the amount of green tea is the same, they just add more water to it so the taste of the green tea is tasteless. For anyone who hasn't been to Boiling Point, they specialize in serving individual sized hot pot that comes in a variety of different flavors. Some of these include their House Special, Korean Bean Pasta, Taiwanese Spicy, Milk Cream Curry, Tonkotsu Miso, and Thai Tomato. If you aren't the adventurous type they also standard hot pot flavors like Beef, Lamb, and Mushroom Veggie. My favorite item to get here is easily the Korean Bean Paste since the combination of ingredients in the hot pot melt together perfectly. The dish itself comes with bean sprouts, nira, zucchini, kimchi, pork belly, fish tofu, fish cake, tempura, rice cake, enoki mushroom, fish fillet, noodles, lobster fish ball, crown daisy, seaweed, and Korean bean paste. These ingredients provide a nice rich taste that isn't overbearing which I truly enjoy. Staff members are also friendly, though at times when it gets busy they aren't the most attentive. Parking should never be an issue since the lot is big which a nice plus. Definitely recommend trying this place if anyone has not been! read more

My husband and I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and there was an ~20 minute wait. The servers were friendly and seated us promptly once we got a text that our table was ready. First thing we noticed was that the floors were slimy/greasy, the window shades were dirty, and the table smelled like an old wet rag. Not the best first impression but we were hopeful the food would be enjoyable. The hotpot came out and it was quite underwhelming - I felt the broth was too salty. The rice came out cold and we asked for it to be reheated. They brought another bowl that was equally as cold - I guess that is just how the rice is served at this spot. We left unfulfilled. This is one of my go to's for a quick and easy hot pot. I'm not sure why the reviews are so low here with the service I received was incredibly good. One thing to note they can get very very busy so you may have to flag someone down but that doesn't mean that they are not being attentive they are just being busy so if you're marking them down for that you might just be a fussy person. There were times where I had to flag someone down but soon as we locked eyes they came as soon as they could. If it's your first time here I would highly suggest the basics like a beef or if you're a vegetarian mushroom option. You're not gonna get a lot of protein so it's quite healthy meal but if you need a little bit more substance than order some sides I'm a big fan of the tempura as well as the meats. I just recently tried out the Tonkatsu, personally not a fan it is very seafood like but the original and the beef are still amazing. Definitely also try the milk teas they're very legitimately Taiwanese. read more

The Taiwanese Spicy hot pot is truly spicy. I was forewarned and still wanted to give a try. It was flaming hot, in a good way. I mean, it did not disappoint. Very flavorful and the size was huge ($17.99). The House Special hot pot was good too. Only wished they could allow you to substitute pork with something else. I don't usually go to Boiling Point because I really hate the wait, and there are many good alternatives around my area. We decided to eat at this location at 3:30pm on a Saturday, thought maybe the non-peak hour wait should be okay. It turned out we were wrong. We still had to wait about 50mins. I understand how popular BP is (generally), but on the other hand, I do think their staff were being kinda sloppy. When there were 2-3 open tables, and we were the next to be called, we stood at the door for 10mins+. After we seated and ordered, we had to flag them down twice to get water. And also the bill. It just took so long to finish a meal here. Next time, I would still go somewhere else if I could. read more
