Streamlined waitlist and despite being a busy night, we had a great dinner. There's a tablet in the front where you can leave a phone number and they'll text you when a table is ready and you have 5 minutes to respond before the host defers your place in line. You can also see how many parties are ahead of you. We only had around 5 parties ahead of us, but it didn't take too long. A drive to the close by Dollar Tree, went through a couple aisles, bought something, and then we headed back over. All staff are masked and the tables still had those sneeze guard dividers, very nice! The menus are contactless through scanning a QR code too. Each table also has garlic bean paste, chili oil, and garlic soy sauce. All very yummy, especially the garlic bean paste (we annihilated 85% of the container and the server had to get us more). We got the: 1) Old Time Delight Milk Tea (50% sweet): -Tastes like those Chinese milk candies. -Thick and milky, what I expect a good milk tea to taste like. -Enjoyed it a lot, but even at 50% sweet it was still pretty sweet (something I expected to be at normal level), so I can't imagine what 100% sweet would be... 2) Taiwanese Spicy: -This only comes in the large size and ONLY comes in flaming spicy level. -Good spicy kick but not intolerable and didn't have to keep drinking water to cool it down. -You have the option between rice or vermicelli. -Definitely enough to split between 2 adults. -This comes with: cabbage, instant noodles, sliced beef (good amount), tempura (1), enoki mushroom, clam (2), Fuzhou fish ball (1), cuttlefish ring (2 rings), pork intestines (pretty sure this was fried a bit before it was added in), fried tofu skin (wish there was more of this), Maitake mushroom, iced tofu (1), green onion, cilantro, fried taro (huge piece). -Just an FYI, the soup is SUPER OILY. Like I tried eating the soup with the noodles and other ingredients and just ended up coughing. Throughout our dinner, the servers kept refilling our water and and soup, making sure to check up on us despite having a full house. At the end of our meal, we got some lime QQ jelly as a snack. Also very yummy. I redeemed the $3 off voucher I won from Asian American Expo and we bought some garlic bean paste to go (only $5 and it was JUST that good), and the total ended up being around $30. I can now see why this place has 3 stars. I try not to write bad reviews unless I'm very dissatisfied, and that is how I'm feeling at this moment. I ordered 3 pots to-go the other night, one for myself and two for both of my sons. I asked for no spice on my younger son's pot, but it was sooooo spicy! Even I could barely eat it. Then I find paper in my bowl, probably from what they used to separate the meat portions. Their prices are also higher than their nearby competitors. We picked up two mild beef pots to-go today. However, we were a bit disappointed in how spicy it was. I could barely eat mine, but my partner couldn't even eat it at all because the mild was so spicy for him! We've been to several BP locations before, and though sometimes the mild varies, this was definitely one of the spiciest milds I had today. To top it off, the rice was hard and cold, several of my tofu skins were burnt, and the tea was super sweet. Luckily, we ate it at home, so I was able to make some fresh rice to eat with it and add ice to the tea. I'm in love with Boiling Point's variety of garlic sauces, especially their garlic soy sauce and garlic bean paste. If you come during lunch, they give a free green tea, which is a pleasant addition to the meal. The service was solid, the food came out in a timely manner and they were quick to add soup when we asked. For reference, in my most recent visit, I came around 12:45 on a Thursday. We were pretty quickly seated. My goto order is always their Milk Cream Curry. I think the curry taste pairs well with the cream, and I enjoy all of the ingredients in the pot. I would recommend giving Boiling Point a try if you never had it before, but otherwise, it is the same quality as every other Boiling Point I've been to. read more

Depending on when you arrive the wait may be long. The portion size is moderate and they give you extra noodles and a jelly to cleanse your palette after your meal. The restaurant is a bit small so it might take awhile to be seated. Note that most tables can sit around 2-4. If your party is larger then you may experience a longer wait so you can all get seated together. Something interesting to note is that you can actually buy their soup bases, seasonings, jelly, and additional snacks. Kinda cool to try overall. read more

To start off, I decided to try the stinky tofu appetizer. The flavor was pretty good and not as stinky as I thought it'd be. I also tried the garlic pork belly, and although I liked the savory sauce, the meat was undercooked, which was disappointing. For the hot pot, I got the Korean bean paste hot soup. They ran out of cilantro and substituted it with lettuce. I found this substitution to be quite strange, as lettuce doesn't complement the hot pot experience as well as cilantro would have. There was a good portion of meat in the hot pot, and I liked the rich and flavorful soup base. However, it wasn't really spicy at all even though I picked the mild level of spice. read more

Wow, what an experience. This was my second time trying hot pot. It is certainly an acquired taste as this popular Taiwanese style soup is hot&sour. I tried #8 & boy oh boy let me tell you that was an adventure. There is only one spice level which is flaming hot. And the broth matched the name, flaming red. It's filled with sea food, beef, tofu, taro, cabbage, noodles and more. I asked for rice on the side because I knew I'd need it. It's served atop a metal box where they lite them flame underneath your bowl. It gets to a rolling boil rather quickly. I was scalding my mouth so I asked them to turn it off. Eating this dish was tough, didn't get through even a quarter of it because of the spice. My colleague ordered the same thing and his was less red and he ate more than I was able to (& he doesn't do well with spice) so their measuring spoons were off for sure on this order. Your meal comes with a green or black tea. I liked this little add on and appreciated that it was sweetened. At the end of the meal they give a packet of lemon flavored aloe jelly with chia seeds. This is one of my favorite places to go. I go with my girlfriend maybe twice a month and get the Taiwanese spicy pot. That pot only comes in large so we end up sharing it between the two of us. We then get add ons like sliced beef, tofu, and, fish balls. Coming during lunch time is a double edged sword. You have to wait to be seated, but you get a free drink(boba). I also love to get the passion fruit jelly after a meal. It is sweet, and cools the palate. The staff is friendly, but they are a bit understaffed so there can be a wait at times. Oh boy here we go again. Went last week for early lunch. We walked into the restaurant with 2 tables of guests. Waiter greeted us with "did we call your number?". I looked around at the empty restaurant and said no... and he told us to sit anywhere. Ok so we sat down. Nobody cared for our entire existence. No water, no greetings, no menu, no nothing. For the next 15 minutes we'd be trining to figure out what we wanna order from the canvases on the wall and yelp, and then realize we have been ignored. So we tried very hard for the next 10 minutes trying to hail a server. I kid you not, the wait staff don't want to work. (We were there years ago when they opened...) Every time we are about to make eye contact they look away. Then they're busy taking food out from the kitchen, and it's bad cause they have to take those hotpot trays one by one. And I thought okay they're busy, but they will eventually run out of guests to serve and it would be our turn right? NOPE. Another table comes in and gets seated, gets their menu and drinks and they order right away. After about half an hour of being ignored we got up and left. Haven't been to Boiling Point in years but suddenly had the craving. What a letdown. Seating here is tight and tables/chairs dirty. I got the Beef pot and asked for Mild. It came out legit on fire spicy. I choked on the soup - no joke. They give a free iced green tea or black tea so I got the green tea. Thank goodness it was there- they must give it out to put out the fire in your mouth. Green tea actually tasted pretty good. But I barely ate my pot. Just skimmed out some of the beef. Oh and they are CASH ONLY right now so then I had to walk across the parking lot to the Chase in 90 degree weather for yet more unendurable heat. I decided to come here on a day I was feeling a bit under the weather for some hot soup, nutrients, and heat in hopes of feeling better. I typically order the vegetarian bowl at these restaurants, but this specific location was out, so I ordered their house special. The service was fantastic. The staff was cheery, helpful, and repeatedly came to check on me. The 2 stars came down to the experience and quality of the meal. While the flavors of (almost) everything were on point, here is where my experience started to go downhill: 1) the iced green green tea tasted like raw seafood and was undrinkable! 2) there was a piece of metal in my soup (see attached picture.) 3) the cabbage collected hard pieces of something (bone?) that kept hurting my teeth when I chewed it. 4) the sauces at the table looked old and never cleaned and rarely refilled 5) the restaurant was a bit run down and needs some updates Had the service not been fantastic, I would have given this establishment a 1 star. It's about time I'm leaving a review for this place. Iv been coming here for forever and nothing has changed. The wait is still super long on Saturday. I had to wait 45 min last time so if you are starving I would not recommend coming here on a Saturday. Everything on the menu remains pretty much the same with the exception of some add on items. The enoki mushroom is no longer on the add on option which made me sad because I love it! My favorites are the Korean bean paste and the beef soup. I like to substitute pork for beef because I find it more tender. All the soup remain flavorful just like back then. I'm only giving 3 stars because of the service and the long wait. Sometimes waiting so long can kill your appetite even if the food is delicious! I would recommend if you are looking for an affordable and delicious hot pot. Beware of the long wait! read more

My friends and I came to Boiling Point on 08/04/21 after watching Shang Chi. We came right at 7pm and had to wait a full hour before getting seated. I had a group of 3 and there were groups of more than that who came after us and got seated before us. I was getting hangry but didn't want to let that affect my whole night. They are currently open for take out. I think they recently reopened their patio for limited outdoor dining but they aren't allowed to add fire to your pots. All staff members are wearing masks. They have a mobile app where you can earn reward points that can be redeemed for free food and or drinks. If I'm in the area, I will call in to place a to go order. If not, I'll order through a food delivery service. They have a variety of set pots to pick from. You get to choose a spiciness level of none, mild, medium, spicy, or extra spicy. You also have a choice of rice or vermicelli. Then you can choose to add on sides for an additional cost. The beef pot is my favorite. I opt for mild spicy. My bf likes medium but sometimes the medium is noticeably more spicy than usual. My favorite add on sides are the fried tofu skin and fish tofu. If you order during lunch, you get a free small green tea or black tea. It comes sweetened and they don't give you the option to adjust the sweetness. I usually order their honey green milk tea and their lychee green tea. When picking up your order, make sure to check if your order is right before leaving! Unfortunately, they tend to mess up on an order here and there. In the past few months, I feel like my drink orders have been messed up almost every other time. read more

We came for dinner last night 08/15/22, I ordered the cream top curry pot and my husband got the lamb pot. We got food poisoning from it. We were up all night vomiting and followed by diarrhea. Anyone else got sick from yesterday? Because we got totally different food and we both sick. frequently visit this place with friends; food & service is always good and consistent. my typical go-to order is the korean bean paste hot pot medium spicy. the portion size is large for me since i don't typically eat much, but my other friends are normally able to finish their food along with the side of rice or vermicelli included. i like coming here during lunch time because they have a promo of a free black or green tea. me and my friends waited about fourty minutes for our table which is the typical wait time for this location, but i've waited longer on weekends. the shop is small and compact so it can get a little loud. overall good experience, will continue to visit boiling point in the future. read more
