It has been a while since I have dined here. The broth is frozen and placed onto pot. All ingredients are precooked, other than veggies. I prefer fresh hot pot but this will suffice during the pandemic. I recommend getting no spice then add in chili oil. You will be able to tell if broth is good or not. read more

What can I say the food here is actually good! I only tried this and continue to come here because Lando loves it. With that being said I always order the Beef Hot Soup/with a lot of the contents taken off that I don't care for, with no heat and white rice and a side of instant noodles! (Which is always good and has lots of flavor) I also always get the strawberry lemon soda which is very tasty I must say! Lando orders the same thing with everything that it comes with and white rice with Medium heat. He absolutely loves it. And always get the sweet honey milk tea! With all the good about the food I have to now define my reasoning for the 3 Star rating. To start off with this place is not setup or built for the wait that you will have to endure before you are even seated, its a really tiny space at the entrance and exit for checking in, waiting, entry, and exiting the restaurant! Once we were seated 30 minutes later we waited another 10 minutes before any one of the server acknowledged us! Lando had to raise his hand to get the attention of one of the server to take our order! Next I couldn't get the portion I wanted in a bigger bowl I just wanted my small dinner portion in a bigger bowl which I saw they had from a time before when we visited! I was told that is only for a specific plate and I couldn't have it regardless!on top of that we got our food and then our drinks which I found odd! This was my first ever experience at any Boiling Point after hearing so many great things about them. Me and two of my girlfriends went to this location Sunday afternoon about 4. The wait was about 35/40 min. I like the electronic check-in system. Luckily there was room to stand in the small check-in area. It was freezing outside and each time the door was opened I would get a little hangrier for some hot soup. When we were finally seated, I noticed two other groups across the room were seated pretty soon after us. I also noticed they received service and water before us. A waiter just happened to walk by and noticed all our menus were closed and asked if we were ready to order. We all had time to decide before anyone even noticed us. After taking our orders we had to ask for waters as well. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because this place was packed. Everyone was still very friendly if you could catch their attention. And the drinks/food we ordered came out pretty quickly. I ordered the #8 Taiwanese Spicy hot soup. I had a major craving for spicy so I had to go for it. I was nervous that it would be way too spicy, since it only comes in the hottest spice level, but it was just right. If you enjoy and can handle spicy, you'll love this one. It was super flavorful and jam packed. That huge cuttlefish ball tho, so good. And I was excited to see that it came with ramen noodles. Awesome that the entrees come with free rice or vermicelli and they offer a bunch of add-ons you could choose from. I also really enjoyed the side sauces they have at the table. The garlic soy sauce and garlic bean paste were bomb to dip with. I also ordered the Strawberry Lemon Soda. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet. Tasted like those Ramune sodas. Both of my girlfriends ordered the #6 Milk Cream Curry hot soup. I had a taste and that curry is fiiiiire! Will def come back for my own pot of that. They also ordered the black tea and the passion black tea with basil seeds. I really liked how deep the tea flavors were. They were sweeter than the strawberry lemon soda for sure but still very tasty. I ended up taking half my meal home and let my boyfriend try some because he hadn't had it before either. He really enjoyed the flavors, even though the spice level was too hot for him, and is willing to go there with me next time. He is very loyal to Cambodian hot pot so I'm glad you guys have opened his palette. Can't wait to try more of all they have. This experience, based on taste alone, 5 stars! Taiwanese Spicy Soup was spicy...not thing else. They sure had a lot of broth, but they shorted all the other ingredients. My soup had no Angus Beef, Taro, Cuttle Fish, Clams or Maitake mushrooms. They did substitute the Beef with Pork Belly ( I know this because I had a side dish of their Garlic Pork Belly and they were exactly the same.) Alright, I like hot pot and having it all in one pot it's too my favorite. I love Swish Swish, however this is good too. I'd rather cook my veggies and meat instead. The menu options are cool and I was a little confused about the appetizer. We ordered the garlic pork belly and it was served warm and other pieces cold. We asked the server and she said it's supposed to be that way, however I'm really not sure. The waiting area for the guests are a tight squeeze and often times people are waiting out in the cold. I would say it's worth 20 mins of waiting in this area. The boba is not as bomb as the ones around this Tukwila area, so I don't suggest it. The sauces are bomb too. As any boiling point locations, this place tends to get very very busy. But I am disappointed that they chose a location that isnt "big", this location is considerably smaller than other locations. So that means, there are less spots to seat at and thus the wait is much longer than usual. The food is good though. read more

Boiling Point is between 3-4 stars depending on the day. I do like it as I do eat here about once a month. Service varies depending on your waiter but is usually good. There is a male waiter with glasses who I really like. Food wise everything is pretty good. I like the octopus, fish balls, and pork the best. I think the Japanese Miso is my favorite? I like the Curry flavor the best but hate how it comes with vermicelli instead of a thicker noodle. I wish the Thai Fusion came with noodles. I think the Taiwanese Spicy is a bit too spicy while losing flavor. Overall, I think it is a good place. I do think I prefer more of a Chinese style hot pot? Where you pick the broth and then add ons from a list that way it is more customizable. read more

Out of all the BP's, this location is my favorite! Very close to home and the inside is spacious (with the exception of the waiting area, but it's fairly small at all locations). Shoutout to David for always being the best server and providing the best customer service! The milk cream curry is my go-to. The broth is flavorful and dense, packed with a lot of veggies (my favs are enoki mushroom and fried tofu skin) & pork. This soup pairs well with honey milk green tea! One of my favorite things about BP is bottomless soup! You can always ask for more and when they fill up your wok, it's like having a whole new order all over again! Also, during lunch hours (11-3pm), you get a free iced tea (your choice of black or green) and the soups are a bit cheaper! PS. you gotta try their garlic pork belly! sooo yummy! read more

Always out of something OR don't have dishes/food items that other BP locations serve. They got no egg rice and I came here to get 50% thai fusion but they were OUT of it and I was honestly so disappointed plus it was lunch time too. Also, compared to Seattle location, it gets super crowded and have to wait for a longggggggg time. And the employees will try to avoid making eye contact when they clearly FORGOT to give me a bowl of rice that I had to wait for like 10 minutes even after the soup came out. Yum yum yum! Sometimes on cold days, I wish we have something like this in Houston, but it's definitely a good addition to the Seattle area. I've been to the Bellevue location, which is always busy and definitely cramped. This location is newer, more modern and more spacious. I love that you come in and you enter your info into a computer, and they call you as your table is ready. I wish there was a bit more room in the entrance though cause it can get busy and there is no room to wait, especially when it's cold outside and you don't want to stand outside. There are like 10 different soups/hot pots to choose from - I got the classic beef hot pot and it was flavorful, hot, and fantastic! I wish I could have it again now as I'm writing about it. The hot pot is filled with lots of goodies: beef, tofu, bean thread vermicelli, fish cakes, etc etc. You can add-on items but your bowl should come with set items. The hot pot is kept at a boil while you eat so it stays hot and the flame eventually dies. You can request they turn off your flame if you don't like it constantly boiling. You can also request more broth as needed. It comes with complimentary rice or vermicelli and for lunch it comes with cold black or green tea. The tea was delicious and I wish I upgraded to the larger size! I didn't expect it to be slightly sweet and it was a fantastic compliment to my soup! 20-40 minute wait around dinner time. My sister and I came here and decided to share the milk curry hot pot because we weren't too hungry. It was so delicious! It has a very smooth soup base (not too oily) with fish cakes, meat, cabbage, potatoes and you can either add noodles or rice. If you like curry I definitely recommend trying this one. Also make sure to try the side sauces, they're all great! Everyone was very nice and many people kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed. Pleasantly surprised! Don't be fooled by the cat-fishing aficionado's angled food photos of this place -you're not getting an obscenely large bowl of soup. If you've ever been served a bowl of Pho, then that's what you're in for ...and it's plenty! The wait: after waiting in line for 35 minutes, then seeing people with tickets pop out of the woodworks, I started to get hangry. Tickets? Yes, this place has a handy check-in kiosk where you enter the number of people in your party and it prints a ticket with your entry/line number. You have two options: 1. Print your ticket and wait 2. Enter your phone number and get alerted when your table is ready. -Don't think that means you can wander around all free-range until your number's called. If you're not waiting outside the door or in your car (and can't run fast enough to the door) then they'll quickly move to the next number. I can't blame them though, as they always seem to be busy. Have you ever smelled butane? Prepare yourself for a whole room of it. -I'd appreciate better ventilation, so I could know if I'm delirious about how good the food tastes vs experiencing asphyxiation. Why is it so busy and slow? The food is delicious and it's HOT soup. I saw a lot of people trying to eat their food straight out of their boiling pot, then sharing surprised glances by how hot it was... Having to wait for food to cool down takes time (apparently this needs to be said), so utilize the extra bowls they give you. Or not... it's your mouth. Meals comes with a side of rice or noodles, you choose what level of spiciness you prefer, and there's a caddy of flavored oils on the table (chili, garlic, soybean) to season your broth. All of the ingredients seemed fresh but my husband ordered the beef and it smelled gamy. Our server was attentive with keeping our tea (bag in a mug) and water filled. I only wish they'd leave the tool that smothers the fire, so it would be easier to shut off when it's to a certain level. Price is reasonable at roughly $15 per bowl. I didn't eat the noodles or rice and it was still really filling, so if you don't have a large appetite then one bowl would be enough for 2 people to share. We pay our $40+ for 2 hot pots, with the occasional black tea. After our fix we get a bit stressed we promise not to blow big dollars on hot pot at least for a while. Sometimes we go 2-3xs a week. The flavors and drinks are good but there are so many cons. The wait time is horrible almost always, expect to wait at least 30+ mins for a party of 4 and even longer larger groups. There really isn't much real substance/solids in the individual hotpot (few bites of meat, artificial fish balls, imitation crab, 2 pieces of very thinly sliced potatoes, and literally the rest cabbage) for about $16-$19. If you add one side it can be an additional $3-7. I personally need to add sides to be full, so my total can sometimes go up to $25-30 not counting tax, tip, drinks. For a price like this, AYCE hotpot might be a better option. The flame really boils away your soup and when you ask for more they literally refill with broth that tastes/looks like water and salt. Original soup flavor before a refill tastes good. My favorite is the Milk Cream Curry or Taiwanese Spicy. If you can handle spicy, I do recommend getting the hottest flavor like Flaming level because that's when I noticed the curry flavor is much stronger. read more

Ehh, I have such an on/off thing about Boiling Point. This is one of my boyfriend's few favorite soup spots so, mostly the reason I go often. I've been to multiple locations before and this specific location is definitely roomier. Although that doesn't mean the wait time is any better than the other Boiling Point locations. The spot is very convenient, in the heart of Tukwila right across the street from the mall. It's a nice place to go grab lunch or dinner when you're done with shopping and whatnot. Boiling Point is a Taiwanese hot pot restaurant that gives you individual pre-set hot pot with all the meat/veggies/toppings depending on what kind you get. Food quality, the broth is super rich and topping are definitely delicious and goes well with the broth. My usual go to is the Thai fusion which the broth reminds me of tom yum soup. This is Pot I would recommend if you like the soup! I've also gotten their Taiwanese Spicy; just be aware that this is extremely spicy and you can only get it the spiciest as it get. Unfortunately, it's not an option to go mild or whatnot. If you can handle extreme spiciness, this is the pot for you. Sometimes I feel like the meat and toppings they give you on the pre-set pot is not enough so my boyfriend and I usually order extras on the sides. They are on the pricier end, ranging from $3-$4 per side so it could add up. Aside from food, their bubble tea is pretty quality. My favorite is their Hokkaido milk tea, super delicious and creamy! Service-wise, Boiling Point in my opinion doesn't have a wonderful reputation on service. Staff are very friendly, but often times it gets so busy that they can't keep up with services for all tables. I tend to have to ask every time when I need more water or that we have to wait a while for the bill to come when we finished. Another example service not being the best was that today, we ordered our garlic pork belly. We had all of our pots/sides come, but that dish was the only one missing, which was odd. Noticed that they were taking a while to give us our garlic pork belly so I asked the waiter again for it. Unfortunately it did take us another 15 minute delay for us to get it, so. Despite service isn't the best and how there's always a long wait for table during peak hours/days, the food is still delicious so that makes up for it. For good soup, I can easily recommend this chain to anybody. I'd just have to warn them about the long waits and the service. read more
