#6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup
    Becky V.

After trying many soup options here, I've settled for the milk cream curry and have never looked back. It's the best! You would think business would have died down by now but no, no matter what time of day we come, there is always a wait. Be prepared to wait in line before the door opens or get yourself on that waiting list! It's worth it!

Good food, clean place, great service! Would definitely come back to try all the other flavors, everything looks good!

This location is always clean, though can be busy at times even at around 1:30pm on a weekday. They have new flavors for their hotpot now but they are only for "large" pots. The servers are nice and quick. Everyone knows their responsibility like a well-oiled machine to serve the customers.

Ate here with chookeiyan months ago and then again with Chookerica. Not that impressed? Dare I say...mid? They hyped it up to me hella and all I could think of was that I rather go to YGF Malatang next door. The staff is not at all vigilant or observant. You got to shout just to get their attention to stop the fire, refill on water, get the check, etc. I seriously had to do the Filipino "sssshhhh pssst" just for them to check up on us and address the table needs. Poor orientation on how restaurant worked, too, so those having Taiwanese hot pot for first time may be a bit lost. Did not even hype up the menu when asked for recommendations. So dead on social cues at this restaurant. Food was okay, but could not save this restaurant for me. At least it was hot food? lol idk...I fighting for my life to rate this higher and believe me...I really want to! Milk tea was not sweet and tasted the same across all flavors. When I first came here, there was such a long line, so after this visit, I still could not understand why that is so. I sowwy. I just am not fulfilled having left this restaurant & dropping money on a meal experience like that

I could honestly eat here every week and never get tired of it. The beef hot pot is consistently top tier - the flavor is so rich and satisfying every single time. If you can make it for lunch, that's the move. It's a better deal with a lower price point and free tea, which is always a nice bonus. We also tried the spicy tangy beef on the side. It doesn't come out bubbling like the hot pot, but the flavor is still really good and worth ordering. For our mains, we both went with beef hot pots. They come loaded with a great variety of toppings and a generous portion of beef, so you definitely leave full. My favorite part is the sauce that they have right at the table. It is super easy to create a go-to sauce combo. One thing I really like is that everything is individual, which makes it perfect for groups since everyone can get exactly what they want. They also have a lot of different pot options to choose from. Wait times can vary depending on when you go, but it's always been worth it in my opinion. The staff are friendly, and they'll help turn off your burner when you're done. Always a solid go-to spot!

Boiling Point has always been a staple lunch/dinner spot for everyone around me, so I eat here once and a while. Honestly though it's not my top choice when eating out, but I came to this location yesterday since it was my birthday and they have a promotion where you can get a free meal. I usually get the beef option here, always a good choice. There's a lot you can eat from this bowl, although I never finish it mainly because there's a few items I'm not the most fond of. That's why I prefer malatang restaurants where you can pick out your ingredients. But the quality from Boiling Point is still pretty good for what you get I also got a free honey jasmine tea along with the soup, and that was super refreshing. Also when it comes to service and ambiance, it was super packed yesterday. We signed up for a 4person table, and had to wait 30 minutes. Never knew even a Tuesday could be this busy, maybe if they opened another location perhaps in Federal Way, it could alleviate some traffic? After waiting though, service to our table was relatively quick and not a whole lot of frills. I think I like the CID location better, but I'm in Southcenter a good amount of times that this location just becomes secondary. Would come back again if friends asked me to.

I love any hot pot and this is one of the chains that used to be popular especially when I visited them in LA area. I always tend to select the Taiwanese special as it has the beef, the clams, oyster mushrooms, tendon, cabbage, fishball, noodles and more. I didn't order it spicy since rim not a spicy gal. I enjoyed this and was super full. Service was quick. All the tables were full and wait time for us was about an hour if doing a walk in for dinner. Mmm I need a hot pot meal again!

Second time at this location and the experience was wayyyyy better! Food was great as expected, the service could use some more TLC but it was good. The bathroom was actually clean this time! So me and the wife are happy the experience was better. Maybe the day we came almost a year ago was just a off day

I haven't been to a Boiling Point since three or four years when I went to the located at the International District with my two sisters and boyfriend. However, I always see on social media of influencers sharing that you can get a free hotpot meal and drink on the day of your birthday with a valid ID. I went with my mom as I definitely cannot tackle a whole hotpot bowl as their portions here are huge. We arrived around 4pm-ish but it was pretty busy, we saw a sign to join their waitlist which said 45mins to an hour. We didn't mind waiting and signed up for then walked to a nearby Starbucks to have coffee and wait. However, once we got our order placed, I got a text message saying to check in with a hostess to get seated. When we arrived, a hostess walked up to us and asked for our names to see if we were the ones who were on the waitlist. Once that was confirmed, we were seated we weren't sure what to do as we didn't receive menus. But a male employee came by our table to ask if we were ready. I told him it was my birthday and I wanted to redeem my birthday meal and he told me that I could any hotpot and drink on there (the promotion on their social media says none of their special or limited time options though) . I went with the house special on medium spicy level and I got the lychee green tea with no ice. It didn't take too long for the drink to arrive and it was good but I could barely taste the lychee flavor. I was torn between that one or the passion fruit green tea but I'll use that one next time. After about ten or so minutes, we received our hot pot which was filled to the brim with various ingredients. It was delicious! I did also chose vermicelli noodles but it was such a small amount, I think getting rice would have been better. Additionally, I thought it would be like the ones you get at Vietnamese restaurants but they were glass noodles. The hot pot was hearty and satisfying though! My mom and I were very happy with our choice. The biggest downside is that you will never see your server again once they drop off your order, as we had to flag our waiter down to turn off the fire. The ambience here is definitely a modern, sleek look with the choice of colors, decor, and lighting. It's definitely great for date nights, casual gatherings, and any occasion. Once you're done, you go to the register to show your ID for your birthday and the cashier told me her birthday was on the 4th and said happy birthday to the both of us which I thought was sweet. The biggest downside is that you will never see your server again once they drop off your order, as we had to flag our waiter down to turn off the fire. I definitely want to visit again during lunch as I know they offer a free drink and dessert during that time too.

My experience with BP this time was much better! The service was much quicker and do take note I ate here with a friend during a weekday specifically Thursday around 1-2pm so maybe that's the key! The food was really great I got my usual of Milk Creme Curry with mild spice with a side of rice and then we had ordered an appetizer of the Garlic pork thing and that's always good. Our server was really quick to get our food so that was really nice, reminds me of their service when they first opened up! The ambiance is always the same but I do wish they just had a bigger location to maybe advocate for how much there's always a long line every other time I would want to eat here.

I wanted to try all the new offerings and found the first bite of the pork bowl amazing and just okay for the beef. The beef was almost like jerky and very sweet, it was a little off putting. However, the lu wei appetizer was incredible, the sauce was like the garlic based one on the tables and all the components worked. I dumped the sauce over the beef bowl and it was SOOO good, really improved it for me and made me realize it was superior to the pork because honestly, lots of places do lou rou fan and you can get better on the Eastside.

This is one of few constant places I go to for food... at least back then, and almost exclusively at the location in the CID - countless times even. My friends and I decided to come eat here on a Saturday night around 9pm, which if you know this place, that is a bad idea as it gets notoriously crowded, oddly more so than the CID location. If anything, there's a lack of Asian restaurants in the general vicinity of Southcenter as it gets late, but I'm still surprised I can almost never get a spot here without waiting an hour or so. For this visit, our wait time after putting our name on the waitlist was almost going into closing time, so we decided to split our group of 5 into two tables (one with 2 people and the other with 3), seated not too far from each other. You scan a QR code here to check the menu and let your server know what you want to get. Be prepared to speak up here since it's really loud inside. Also very well-lit and bright so it fits with all the activity going on both in the kitchen and outside. For this visit, I got my default of beef hot pot, with sides of quail eggs and fried tofu skin that I split with my group. This time I didn't get any spice with my hot pot, and also got a golden citrus green tea which didn't come out even after my friend and I got everything else and he got his green tea - and I had to ask for it again. As with most if not all of my visits to any Boiling Point, the beef hot pot is my all-time and only favorite pot because of all the meat without any toppings that I don't prefer (pork blood, stinky tofu, too much spice, etc.). Meat was easy to chew and everything was relatively fresh. Some of the sauces on the side could have been restocked, but I made do with a spicy sauce that I used on my meats. I won't really come back to this specific location if I want a personal hotpot because of the atrociously long wait times at nearly every moment I'm in the mood for something here. Food here still hits regardless, so just get here early and away from peak hours unlike me.

The hot pot was as good as it's always been. But the service definitely went downhill. Mind you, it wasn't always the best, but it was decent. But this time, we got service like the ones you get at a hole in the wall Asian restaurants if you know what I mean. Felt judged by some of the servers and it was probably the worst experience I've had at BP. Unfortunately. Food was good though, at least that was worth it.

I ordered the Popcorn Chicken Bento, which came with stir-fried greens, braised egg, pickled mustard greens, Taiwanese sausage, and braised tofu. The popcorn chicken was freshly fried, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with basil that gives it a very authentic Taiwanese flavor. The portion was generous and they even included a milk tea, which made the meal very satisfying. My friend was a big fan of boba tea, and I missed Taiwanese street food badly, so we just decided to try out this place. We showed up right after they opened their door. I am a low tech person, but I found their ordering kiosk was easy to use. We ordered two meals, Taiwanese sausage bento and Beef noodle soup, that came with drinks. One interesting we noticed is that each meal selection came with different drink options. When we ordered Taiwanese sausage bento, there's an option to order a drink at a cheaper price, but no old fashioned black tea, so we ordered milk tea. However, when we ordered beef noodle soup, there's no milk tea option but old fashioned black tea. We thought all the add-on drink options were the same, but they weren't. We then got milk tea and black tea from the add on options since it's much cheaper. We also ordered blood rice cake and the braised combo. There were a few tables in the store. When we were there, not too many people were there, so we just picked up a table. The food came very quickly. During the lunch time, around noon to 1 pm, the entire place was packed. After that, most people just came to pick up something and left. The food was very delicious and was authentically Taiwanese food. The blood rice cake was southern Taiwanese style. I wish they also had northern style that would wrapped with peanut powder. The braised combo was very tasty. I guess it was cooked in the sauce for a long time. The beef noodle soup was really good, and they could add picked mustards for free. My friend and I had a lot to chat, so we stayed in the store until they closed. Nobody ever tried to kick us out simply because we had stayed too long. We had a good time there, enjoying the food and the drinks. I am sure that we will come again soon.

The food quality has noticeably declined. The mapo tofu arrived cold, and when we asked if it could be heated up, the request was refused. A dish that is meant to be served hot should never reach the table cold in the first place. The beef lacked seasoning and flavor, tasting bland and uninspired. The crispy pork was equally disappointing the meat was tough, chewy, and lacked the crispy texture and flavor we expected. What concerns us most is how different everything tasted compared to previous visits. It honestly made us wonder if the chef has changed, if recipes have been altered, or if the restaurant has become too busy to maintain the same standards and attention to detail. Whatever the reason, the quality was simply not what it used to be. Dining out is becoming increasingly expensive, and customers expect food that reflects the prices they are paying. Sadly, this meal did not. We left feeling that the money we spent was not justified by the quality of the food or the overall experience. We sincerely hope 151 Days takes customer feedback seriously and returns to the level of quality that originally earned our support. Right now, based on this experience, we would not be eager to return. This version expresses disappointment strongly while avoiding accusations you can't verify, such as definitively claiming the chef changed.
