I've been here a couple of times because I work only a block away. I usually get their Shepherd's Pie or Chicken Pot Pie (which are both very tasty, btw), but today I tried their Meatball Sliders. It was great. I'm a cheese-lover so I liked that they were generous with the mozzarella. And you have to try their Key Lime Pie, too! I think it's one of their bestsellers. Tangy and tasty! Big fan of this place. Stopped here while visiting Boise for the weekend with a friend, and was so excited to try the blueberry crumble pie. It did not disappoint! The pie wasn't over sweet, it was the perfect thing to satisfy my sweet tooth. I also tried the green chile & cheese quiche which was really good as well. The quiche slice was huge and came with some cantaloupe on the side. I wasn't able to finish the quiche but I definitely finished all the blueberry pie. Love the idea of this restaurant! I think it could be executed a little better. We went about an hour before closing and they were out of half of their menu which was a big bummer. In fact, my brother in law didn't end up eating because they were out of everything he wanted. I had the La Mason which was pretty good. Not spectacular but better than I could do at home. My husband got the meatball sliders which all four of us decided it was by far the best thing there. In fact, I'll go back just for that sandwich. We each picked a slice of pie to scarf down our mouths as well. We had the chocolate mousse, which was okay. It was very grainy and neither of us could finish it. Nothing I dislike more than when a company doesn't properly update their hours for holidays or when they are just "out for the day". I happened to be in town over the holiday weekend and needed a pie for my husbands birthday. I drove 30 min only to find a "closed for Labor Day weekend" sign on the door yet everywhere else states they should be open. I was so hoping that the pies from Boise Pie Co would be delicious for Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, they were not. We ordered apple and pumpkin pies. The apple filing inside the pie was very good, but the crust had a not so pleasant taste, so much that we could not eat the crust - maybe it was the shortening that was used. The pumpkin pie filling was also good, but the crust tasted and looked like a store-bought pie crust - very disappointing. Not sure if the quality was lacking due to the mass production of pies, but I'll definitely be making my own pies next year! read more

It isn't right to make Mom cook her own Mom's day brunch, so I volunteered, sort of. I went to the BPC after ordering a Quiche the day before. Looks yummy and was nicely priced at $26. While there picking it up, we had a chance to have 2 more of their pies, banana cream and strawberry rhubarb. The banana cream was super and since it was made that morning, the bananas were fresh and not browning. Delightful graham cracker crust too. The strawberry rhubarb was equally yummy. Their crusts are superb and make the pies memorable. They also had beef hand pies today. Had to take one home too. And NOW, they have ice cream. Pie ala mode is in my future. The only thing I would change is their coffee brand. A deeper, richer brew is more to our liking. But, I can live with that small dissatisfaction. read more

We jpicked up our holiday pie as we ordered a French silk. It's supposed to have a Oreo crust and it had a regular crust that tasted stale, salty and thick. That was a disappointment. The filling to crust ratio was way off as the filling was way too much and way too thick and rich. It almost resembled a frosting type flavor and texture. I can not recommend this as my family and I are very disappointed. UPDATE: Owner contacted me and apologized for the French silk and offered to make another or a different pie at no charge. Friendly service, warm atmosphere and delicious food! That's what you'll get when you visit the Boise Pie Co. I visit this establishment about once a week and am never disappointed. My favorite is the green chili quiche...and the Shepard's Pie...and the meatballs! Everything I've had is delicious. And of course I try different pies each time I visit. Pecan, banana cream, berry, pumpkin pecan, Carmel apple, chocolate mousse, Kentucky derby...oh. My. Gosh. And they take requests for pies they may not typically make! It's all sinfully delicious but my favorite reason to visit is the people. Always welcoming and friendly, I enjoy sitting and eating while working on my laptop and listening to the regular customers come in. I finally got to try the Boise Pie Co.! I happened to be at a training across the street so I walked over. As others suggest, try the Key Lime Pie....it's to DIE for! These Florida natives know what they're doing, it was probably the best I've ever had. I can't wait to come back for lunch and more pie...to my surprise they have a pretty decent lunch menu. Amazing pies and really good food! Hands down the most impressive pie they serve is their key lime, made from real key limes!! Each bite is like a punch to the mouth (in a good way). Don't need a whole lotta this pie to change your day around. But hurry, get there early in the morning cause they do sell out! I have tried their Not going halfsies chicken salad sandwich (superb!), the Angry Bird Buffalo Chicken sandwich (Yum!), and their soup of the day which was chicken and rice (So good!!). Talk about comfort food!!! I was staying at a local hotel and had the chicken pot pie and key lime pie delivered to the hotel. The pot pie was hot, and the crust was crispy. Sticking the fork through the crust uncovered a delectable world of creamy, tasty, savory deliciousness. It was a perfect blend of chicken, veggies and sauce. Enough for two!! I had high hopes for this place. We came into town to visit family and were asked to bring dessert so we stopped by this place. We came in right around 10:30 am, so 30 minutes after they opened. I really wanted a blueberry crumble pie but they didn't have a whole one. That seemed odd that they didn't have such a common pie first thing in the morning. So we decided to get the Boise Berry one per the recommendation of the staff. We also got a huckleberry cheesecake. I also got a Dublin hand pie. The first thing is they need to put the prices of the pies where you can see them. It wasn't until I got the email receipt that I saw the huckleberry pie was $40, there was a $10 up charge for it being huckleberry. If i would have known this I never would have spent $40 on a pie. The boise Berry one was $35. I live in Californian and even there I don't run into places that charge $35 for pie the amount I spend is $25-30. Non the less I got them since we didn't have a back up plan for dessert. The huckleberry cheesecake was good, but not worth the $40. If i'm paying an extra $40 for huckleberries then there should be more in the cheesecake. The boise berry was very tart and I couldn't really eat it at all. You expect cherry pie to be tart but not a berry pie. I had the heat up the Dublin pie and when I went to pick it up from the container it just split and crumbed in my hand so I had to pick up pieces of the pie and eat it. Overall just disappointed with the quality and prices of the pies and the fact that the shop didn't have prices for whole pies anywhere we could see. read more

We hadn't had pie since the holidays, so decided it was time. Upon reviewing the flavors listed on the menu, we ordered slices of the plain cheesecake - a "slice and a half" version was recommended so that's what I ordered for the cheesecake fan here. I wanted a slice of coconut cream, then I ordered the chocolate mousse pie for Easter. Oh my! The cheesecake fan was pleased with his selection. The coconut cream was so good- light and creamy! Neither slice could be consumed in one sitting. The chocolate mousse was dense and rich tasting with a very flavorful crust. Excellent choices to relieve our " stay home" Easter meal. read more

This was an excellent pie that I had (salted caramel peach) and it reheated very nicely. As the company stated, the pie is not overly sweet due to them using natural products and the difference is noticeable. I had a great experience and would definitely return. read more

This review is strictly for a sweet treat that I had today. Cute decor and I do want to try lunch there soon but for now all I've tried is the peanut butter pie. It was really good and BIG. I ate the whole thing in two sittings. I did need a lot of water to go with it, it's sweet, rich and creamy deliciousness. A note, initially I did cringe at the price but I can vouch it's so yummy and substantially cheaper than something similar I get at Cheesecake Factory.
