I really enjoyed my visit to this location. The employees were friendly and worked with a sense of urgency. I wasn't familiar with the menu and the cashier was very helpful explaining a few things to me (otherwise I would have ended up with spicy chicken and I don't do spicy). My meal was prepared quickly. The employee who made my order was also friendly and provided a genuine thank you. The food was divine. The homestyle chicken tenders were juicy and their famous biscuit was soft. This place is awful. Waited in the drive-thru for 30mins just to get home and find that not one, but two meals we ordered were not given to us! YOU HAD ONE JOB. And an easy one at that..... Then I unwrap my biscuit to find the biscuit is barely cooked. To the point where it is still dough. DISGUSTING. Do not waste your time going to this location. This has to be the shittiest Bojangles around...if I could give no stars I would. This place needs a complete overhaul starting with management. They are so slow!!!! Not to mention, they absolutely cannot get anything right. When they finally do get it correct, you're served cold slop that I'm sure the jerks that are preparing it, wouldn't eat themselves. The staff is horrible and treats you as if they're doing you a favor by doing THEIR JOBS. Bojangles to Richmond was once like JJ Walker to Good Times...people were disappointed when it left behind the legacy of the Bo Biscuit with nowhere to get one at any time of day. As a result, many were excited to see the chain resurface when the Nine Mile Road location opened in 2009. I still recall making a special trip from my then apartment in the West End on the day it opened and returning to enjoy my meal as I watched Michael Jackson's memorial service with mixed emotions. I was equally excited when I learned about the Atlee Road location being built, since I've traveled that way once a week for class since August. I stalked Bojangles' website a called other nearby locations to find out when it would open. I checked again today after being told it would be open in mid-April and discovered a phone number listed for the location! I called and was told by a man that they were, in fact, open for business. It wasn't until after I made a beeline to Bojangles' after work that I discovered this was actually its opening day. With that said, I was happy to see there wasn't a long line similar to the Nine Mile Road location when it open. On the other hand, the lack of a line made me wonder for just a moment if this location was an imposter! I give them credit for the friendly service I was provided with at the drive through. However, they've gotta perfect the Bojangles' recipe for goodness. The tea wasn't sweet enough, the fries weren't seasoned enough, and my biscuit wasn't buttery enough! The chicken was crispy but didnt have enough skin. At least my food was hot and fresh. I will give this location a break and allow them time to perfect the recipe...that's the only way they will give Popeyes across the street a run for its money! read more

The food is good but you always have to wait for it, never enough ready even at 7pm. Not much traffic in here but they are friendly and make it fresh with a smile. However always takes longer than planned. Currently waiting for food, it's been 11min. Seems like cook times should be shorter than that. Employees seem goofy and no hurry in their actions. Food was okay, biscuit was a little burnt but overall not bad. The drink was the issue because I ordered a lemonade and whatever I got was some watery Mountain Dew/mellow yellow which I didn't drink because the ice was dirty. Then I went to pour it out and there was a screw in the bottom of the cup. If I could give zero stars I would! We were very disappointed with the service here. We waited 20 minutes for them to fill our order (which wasn't large or complicated) and to make matters worse, the food was already cooked) you can see it in the hot bar that they use to fill dine in orders). There were at least 4 employees just standing around not seeming to know what they should be doing to help move the orders along. I was half tempted to ask for a refund and just leave it was that ridiculous. To make matters worse, since it took them so long to fill our order, parts of our meal was cold. A family came in after us and sure enough, same thing happened to them and the mom got so irate she left. We look forward to our trips to Bojangles whenever we drive south since the chain does not exist in Ohio. This place needs better management and employees read more

This location is fairly new to Mechanicsville, so one would think it would be clean. I had heard that the location was lacking in cleanliness, but their breakfast smelled so good one day that I had to try it! I went in to dine and the customer service was ok...food was hot........BUT, there was a long brunette hair in my Hash Rounds :( The food was so good that mentally I quickly tried to rationalize it as being my hair lol..but it was not. The Manager changed it out and apologized....but that put a bad taste in my mouth....literally. AMAZING food: Cajun biscuit and Cajun fries. Delicious as always. But at this Bojangles I had to wait 15 minutes before I got my food. I came in at 1:00pm. At 1:15pm I finally got my good. There was lack of communication between the workers and they had a "not caring" attitude. The workers only seemed to focus on one order at a time which was annoying with several orders. I may seem picky because I was hungry but the lack of organization and communication skills made me give it 2 stars. The food is delicious as always. read more

The best breakfast and it's served all day long. There chicken also has some really great seasoning. This place is really fast in the drive thru you just can't pay with anything over $20 in cash. The inside is also pretty fast and over all they have great customer service. If you live in the altee area you have to make this place your morning breakfast spot on the way to work. read more

I have to say that there is truly no better feeling than slurping down a sweet tea in a bojangles parking lot at the crack of dawn. I swear that they put liquid cocaine in their sweet tea (which is why I feel a little guilty that me and my sister chose to feed the baby sweet tea instead of tiddy milk). My only critique is the stupid microphone that the cashier uses to confirm your order. EXTREMELY disappointed. Came through the drive through at 8:32 for five Cheddar Bo Biscuits. The employee taking my money was completely distracted and opened the window five times to take my card but kept letting the window close. Finally took my card and waved me forward to the food window where I was told the biscuits were not ready and it would be 4 (FOUR) minutes and I was asked to pull forward. Waited.... Waited... Finally got out of my car to go inside and they still did not have my order ready at 8:45. I oversaw the manager clearly frustrated with one of the employees trying to get my biscuits ready. He helped her then dashed over to the cash register to help another customer when I started to express my frustration. I asked him back and told him I had been waiting almost 15 minutes for a 4 minute order. He said he would address it with the "biscuit prep". ZERO customer service. I told him that didn't help my current situation and he didn't offer any apology or any sort of discount.
