I ordered and it said 30 minutes to be ready, thinking surely that was a mistake as I got an 8pc chicken box and a sandwich. 30+ minutes pass and nothing... seems ridiculous considering they have 3+ people working and no one in the drive thru and only 2 cars have came and gone. I saw on the app that my order was ready, but no one was bringing out the order so I went in and got it myself even though I had selected curbside, don't have the option if your people don't execute. AVOID THIS LOCATION. Unless you like waiting over half an hour for "fast" food. 2 stars because the chicken was still good regardless of the wait. read more

We were excited to try Bojangles, and stopped here while traveling through. They have cheerwine fountain drink, which my kids were excited about. The good news ends there for this location. We waited 25 minutes for our food, which was subpar and part of it was missing. The place was full of annoyed people who got incorrect orders and had been waiting a very long time for food. We witnessed people asking for refunds and leaving. Inside was pretty unkept... all tables were dirty, no cup lids, dirty floors, etc. they were obviously very understaffed. A manager walked out a young (MINOR) employee while she was CRYING and made a comment IN THE LOBBY about her only lasting 3 days "Say goodbye to XXX, after only 3 days" - clearly humiliating her in front of other staff and customers before letting her go. Went to this location last night to get a homestyle tenders combo with fries and a tea. I get to the window and I repeat my order to make sure she heard it right she just nonchalantly says yeah and says my total is $5 and some change. She gives me the receipt and it's a kids supreme box with fries and mac and cheese. I finally get her attention and I told her what I wanted a g a i n. she says it's the same price(?). So I'm like okay whatever and she STILL gives me the kids box. I told her again this is not what I wanted and she finally gave me what I wanted after having an attitude. I got home and there's only 1 tender and 2 HALF EATEN tenders. The fries weren't even cooked all the way. I'm never a picky person when it comes to fast food but come on. I don't get to come here often so every time I am in NC, I always make sure to visit here at least once. We came almost at closing and they were still accommodating enough to let us dine in. They were out of chicken thighs so they put on fresh ones. The chicken is always great here, but I mostly come for the biscuits. Haven't been disappointed so far with the food. read more

Cashiers are almost ALWAYS rude, rush you throughout your order, & don't hesitate to show an attitude when you want to change something on your order BEFORE PAYING. This is not a reflection of Bojangle's in general. This review pertains only to this particular Bojangle's location. Bojangle's in general is incredible and serves up some of the best southern fried fast food that there is. There are multiple other locations in the area, including one on Reynolda. Go there. Do not go here. I've visited this location multiple times and constantly been disappointed. The service is terrible. I rarely have to wait longer than a couple of minutes at other Bojangle's locations, but here you consistently have to wait 10-15 minutes for your food. This is not fast food. The people working here are rude and seem to have a complete disregard for the customers. They have bad attitudes and are unapologetically incompetent. They make it seem like you are inconveniencing them by ordering food there. During my most recent visit, I had another terrible experience while going through the drive-thru. I ordered my regular which is the "four piece chicken supreme dinner." This is nothing out of the ordinary and is probably their most popular item. They informed us that the Chicken Supremes were "cook to order" tonight and that it would be at least ten minutes. This is ridiculous. It was a Saturday night at 7:00, prime dinner time, and they had their most popular item "cook to order." I've never heard of such a thing. We waited for over ten minutes as promised. You would think that there would be some sort of an apology for this, but instead all you could hear was hooting and hollering from the employees inside. It's like we weren't even there. The only consistent things about this location are the employees' terrible attitudes and worse service. I hate to see this. When you're on University Parkway in Winston, it should never be Bo time! read more

I got a 4pc combo with a large fry, the fries were half full and two of my tenders were smaller than 3.5"x1". But really though, this order of fries is pitiful. When settled, and without having eaten any of them, the fries fall a half inch below the front rim and a full 4" below the back rim. I can stand one of these dinky tenders upright in the fries container and the tender doesn't stick up over the back rim. I just spent 15 minutes behind one car in the drive thru. I understand being short staffed but it shouldn't be difficult to tell the vehicle at the window to pull ahead and then take care of the other customers. Due to a concrete barrier I wasn't able to pull around the vehicle and leave and had to sit there. This is just one of a handful of unacceptable wait times for me at this location. Sadly this location has very frequently forgotten items in our drive-thru orders, given us old fermented teas a number of times, and the wait is often quite long. The manager we've spoken to was very helpful and made amends of the issue the one time we asked them to. I forget her name but she was wonderful about it all and seemed sincerely sorry for the hassle. Many of the staff seem less than happy to be there so we try to pray for them while we wait. Well, they ran out of the legendary sweet tea, so that was a bummer. You gotta love bojangle's biscuits, so soft, fluffy, warm and buttery. A toasty dream haha. Now the chickens, well I was craving fried chickens but the breaded fried chicken in bojangles is literally so breaded that after I peel off the skin, there is nothing left on my chicken, so it left me a bit hungry. Their dirty rice is pretty good, but some of the rice is uncook. Another bummer. Bojangles recently started serving fries, now they are legit. The cajun seasoning is on point! Not many places can get cajun fries right, bojangles nailed it! Come here for a good ole family time or just some southern comfort fast food. Biscuits are pretty good... not bad chicken if you get the spicy. The sides are pretty hohum. I like the porkchop biscuit (real not formed pork) when they carry it. Some of the restaurants will give you a dollop of gravy... Some charge extra. The baked chicken bites are quite good you can get the bites, a side, a biscuit, and a drink for about $5. The sweet biscuits they offer are quite tasty. This is the least impressive of the Bojangles I've gone to. Service is often slow and inaccurate. It is due for a coat of paint. The food itself is not quite as good as some of the other locations. read more

Service: gets a (1) b/c they don't listen to the customer and they get smart w/ the customers. My mother asked for jalapeño chicken on a biscuit and the order taker retorted "We don't sell jalapeño chicken! That was Cajun Chicken if it was real spicy!" Then mom asked for tea w/ ice and a lot of lemon in a bag which the order taker lady did no give a bag, then she put the tea into the smallest paper sack that she could possibly find. The male order taker on a different occasion put it into a plastic bag w/ handles. It did spill, but it spilled into the plastic bag so she was able to salvage the tea. Mom says they have good food and she will continue to go there, but she will not order anymore tea even though she really likes the tea w/ lemon, but mom's car has older too small cup holders. Mom uses the drive thru all the time. I went in w/ her one time and the order taker fixed up mom a combo & I had to tell the lady that mom did not order a combo, just the sandwhich. Sadly, this particular Bojangles has horrible service, they get orders wrong, and that past couple of times, there have been homeless people walking to cars at the dice through and asking for money. I went to the Bojangles located at 5918 University Parkway today (January 26, 2013). I drove through the drive through lane and pulled up to the box where you order. I ordered a chicken biscuit and small bo rounds. When I ordered my food the lady told me that the bo round will take 4 minutes to be ready. I said ok. My first thought was why do you not have one of your most popular items ready to go for your customers? There was an suv in the drive through line in front of me sitting at the drive through window where you pay and get your food. The suv had obviously been sitting there a while because they had already cut their vehicles motor off. I sat waiting behind this suv for an additional seven (7) minutes finally, the lady in the suv was handed her food. I saw the lady in the suv reach her arm out of the suv window and she had a see through empty drink cup in her hand. She was trying to give it to the Bojangles lady at the drive through window. I had my window down at this point ready to pay and get my food. I was thinking my bo rounds and food should be ready by now as I had already been waiting seven (7) minutes. I heard the lady in the suv ask the Bojangles lady if see would please throw the empty cup away in her trash can inside. The lady refused and said NO I CAN'T!! She said it with a snotty attitude and raised her voice. I thought man she obviously should not be working here if she is going to treat customers this way. The lady in the suv was so polite even after the employee of Bojangles was so snotty to her. The lady in the suv said "Surely, you do not want me to drop this right here in your parking lot?" The Bojangles employee said "I DON'T CARE! !!!! IT DOES NOT MATTER TO ME!!! The lady in the suv dropped the cup and drove off. The cup landed on the ground in the drive through line right beside the drive through window. I drove up to the window meanwhile, trying to avoid hitting the cup/trash now lying in the drive through lane. I was shocked! That was so ridiculous!!! What was the big deal about throwing the cup away. How dare this employee talk and act that way to a customer. I got to the drive through window and paid for my order. I was ready to go by now I had been sitting in line for over ten (10) minutes and there was only one car in front of me when I arrived. Also, it was a few minutes after 4 pm. It was not lunch or dinner time so it is not like they had a rush of customers or something. The lady at the drive through window proceeded to tell me to pull up to the black bars which were directly in front of me about a car length up and wait longer for my BO Rounds! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!!! I went ahead and pulled up but decided I will not be coming back to this Bojangles as they are unprepared, slow service, very rude to their customers and obviously did not care about their jobs or Bojangles as a company. I sat there waiting an additional six (6) minutes till finally, a man came out and handed me my food in a bag. HALLELUJAH! I can leave this place! I will not be going back after having to wait 16 minutes just to get a biscuit and bo rounds. I could have slaughtered a chicken and cooked it myself in less time than that! Fast Service my butt!!!! This location on University is horrible. It was never stellar as far as cleanliness, but the food was good and the staff was nice. It seems like they are now under new management or ownership. I noticed a definite increase in cleanliness and visual appeal recently. I also noticed a drastic change in staff. for breakfast and lunch the shift(s) all seem to be new people, look like they are about 12 years old, and none of them can do their job. I waited for 10-15 minutes the other day for a cajun filet biscuit and bo rounds. Everyone on the inside waiting for food were clearly unhappy. Most of the orders that left the counter came back because they were wrong. When I left, the drive through was backed up all the way around the building and people were pulling away from the window to sit and wait for food. I don't know the story here (new manager, new owner?) but whatever the reason, the recent changes have ruined this place. They even screwed up a larg order for our office. We gave them several days notice and they act like they never heard of it. This happens quite often with this location. I'm no longer a customer, they're not worth the time or the money.
