The tofu was not overly marinated, I expected more from the cilantro noodles (did not order the next time I went), the white rice and forbidden rice was nicely cooked, the potatoes were a little salty, I did not like that broccoli (almost too charred and it affected the taste). All in all it is a good place to grab lunch, especially if you are vegan. I wish there was a spot in the southwest Miami area - maybe some day! Being a pescatarian most restaurants do not cater to Non meat eats completely. So seafood offered to only some but not all. Some of us have shellfish allergies. But this restaurant is my favorite. If it were for flavors / ingredients & staff friendliness, they would get a full five stars! I mean, I'm not a certain rotund rapper but I was a little hungry when I left. Also, at least on opening day, their online ordering system for the Miami Lakes location was buggy. It kept rejecting my card while I was able to pay in person with no problem. Speaking of, I like they have an express entrance that you can just pay for online orders instead of waiting in line. After hearing good stuff about this chain from my friends in the 954 and 561 - and I think even trying them at an event - I was happy to hear that they were coming to my neck of the woods just over the county line. The two times I've gone - opening day Friday and today for dinner - service has been super friendly and very attentive. Since their ingredients are different than their competition, they were nice enough to let me sample. They have a couple "pre-configured" bowls (i.e. mexican and thai-style) as well as different ingredients with which you can play chef. Y'all I am super late to the party but wow there's not much to say other than that lol. The cilantro noodles are straight fire and I could eat it every day! For my first bowl, I got the half cilantro noodles half kale bowl with lemon chicken, potato and zucchini. I ate most of it without the sauces because i thought it was perfect but then decided to try the pesto and spicy Thai I got and that changed the game! I have been hooked since! Even my baby girl loves the noodles and chicken. I wish there could be a closer location to the NMB/Aventura area but until then I'll keep driving for this deliciousness lol. read more

Simple, fresh, quick service, delicious food! This is the elevated version of chipotle or any line style service food. Their price points are a little high than average I would say but I definitely love it and feel full, but not bloated, after the meal. Their Asian sweet potato noodles are my go to! I think their mushrooms could use a little more sauce or keep it warmer. Their Brussels sprouts were amazing! I chose the mojo pulled pork and it was delicious! (I had their steak the first time and it was a little too red to my liking, but you can probably ask them to cook it more) I really like their chimichurri cherry tomatoes - makes the bowl look livelier and it tastes great. It's been a couple of years since my original review. I'm guessing there is new management because this place is not as it once was. Service is not friendly and welcoming. You feel as if you are inconveniencing the staff when you approach the counter and are rushed through the line, even when there are no customers behind you. They no longer great you when you enter. Instead you stand there waiting to order while they chat. This place was always busy with guests. Not so much now, aside from the usual lunch crowd. Portions are smaller than ever. A very small scoop of avocado is $2. Tomatoes are extra. It really has become too expensive considering the size of the portions. Although the dining room appears clean, the cushions on the benches are always dirty (even when not crowded), as are the table tops and trays. We still come to this location, though not as often. We hope that perhaps it will return to what it once was. read more

I love bolay and couldn't be happier that they opened one in Miami Lakes! This one is more spacious than the one in Pembroke Pines. It has a "fast lane" for you to skip the line in case you ordered online. Food was deliciousssss!!! My favorites are the cilantro noodles, the roasted potatoes and the pork tenderloin, but I also recommend everything they have on the menu. A small bowl is around $8.99 and the large one is $10.99. The small one brings enough food to fill you up but if you get the large one you get to try more stuff!! I tried ordering online and my card wouldn't go through. Then tried ordering on the phone and it wouldn't work either (I guess they're still setting up the system) so I just went there and paid there when I picked up the food. Great customer service!
