Absolutely love this place! I am so happy they opened up this new location in Miami Lakes. The restaurant has ample space and is well designed. The idea is a quick service line kind of like Chipotle. They offer different types of veggies, protein and carbs to build your bowl depending on your preferences. They also have premade options that you can choose from. What a breath of fresh air! I had the pleasure of visiting this delightful place while looking for something healthy to eat. I'm just so happy I was able to find it. The second you step in, you're welcomed by this nice ambiance with very bright colors and ample seating. Then you're welcomed by probably the sweetest employees I've ever met. Like EVERYONE is so nice it's almost scary! Living in a city like Miami, where road rage is rampant and being rude is the norm, it was a complete breath of fresh air to walk into this place. Now onto the food! I had their small bol with lemon chicken, ginger broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes. Wow just WOW! Soooo good! This is my first time coming to Bolay but you bet I'll be back! Miami Lakes, and much of the surrounding area, was lacking in a healthy choice please to eat. It's casual, cafeteria style, which is fine with me. I do NOT do budgets but this I liked. The sweet potato noodles blew my mind! They taste like glass noodles. So delish. I have celiac, so knowing that this isn't just "gluten friendly" restaurant but a gluten-FREE place is such a relief! I had Brussel sprouts, the spicy Thai sauce and the broccoli all of which were yummy! One of the managers, Eddie, stopped by which is a very nice touch. I would have taken a photo of my dinner but it smelled so good I just started eating! I can't wait to start bringing my friends here. Have lived nearby this location for sometime and have had their food a handful of times as well. I was in the mood for a bowl so I came here again. It had been a while since the last time and it seems like everything has gone downhill. The service was non existent when I walked in to when we were ready to check out. There were people waiting for items and a lot was empty. My wife and I both hated the flavors of the bowls. The food here has never wow'd us but this time it was just plain bad. I don't remember the mushrooms being so undercooked like those we had that when we bit into them they were wet and burst in our mouths. It was weird. The teriyaki chicken tasted like a pack of hotdogs would from the market. The broccoli was HARD. I asked for the ginger sauce to go. The girl working tossed it on top of the bowl and the cashier never offered a bag. My wife said it was fine and we left. The location itself is clean, but I don't just go to a restaurant for a nice place to sit. I've seen the fast growth of bolay around Florida, but unfortunately I think it's just that. Fast growth which means they are about money. Leaving the service and food on the back burner to make a quick buck. We really wouldn't recommend. If you want something that's healthy I would recommend Fresh Kitchen which is similar but actually looks like it's been made that day and not the previous night. read more

This Bolay location is pretty good and it's always busy - which is a good sign. Lately I've been ordering to pick up there and they haven't always been ready. The last time I went there was a bit of a wait and they got the order wrong but I'm chalking it up to a busy day. As most Bolay locations, this place has fresh food and pretty quick service. I usually order cilantro noodles as my base but this time I got the black/purple rice and it was quite good. Definitely not a disappointment! I've been here twice, first time was for dinner and the second for lunch, and both times were great. I find the small bowl to be just right but if you are hungrier then the large will probably be best. I had the jasmine rice and kale salad as my base ( yes you can still get 2 bases it'll just be less of each for a small), broccoli and mushrooms which were a great balance and seasoned perfectly, and tofu (must try!!! I am not a vegetarian by any means and I usually avoid tofu because it's just something that you either make right or wrong and this is how you make tofu right!!)! I also put cilantro and call it a day. You get to pick a sauce from several options and although I've tried a few I didn't see a need because the food is already well balanced. Very healthy, very delicious. This is a spin on the poke bowl trend. Start off with a base, then veggies, then a protein. We had the sweet potato noodles, and cilantro noodles. The sweet potato noodles were better, I had higher hopes for the cilantro. I don't typically like Brussel sprouts, but taking a risk really paid off. They did and excellent job. The ginger broccoli could have used a little more ginger flavor, but the tenderness was spot on. The decor was nothing special, but it was clean. They had people constantly spraying tables, chairs, and door handles. Overall well worth a visit. Good job. read more

They will let you sample anything. For here bowls are real bowls which is nice instead of plastic or paper. The noodles were really good. Brussels a bit spicy. Chicken very basic and plain. My friend and I were in the area and she recommended Bolay so we decided to go there. I was excited to try it and we ordered 2 small bowls. I also ordered the pineapple ginger juice and it was probably the best part, I highly recommend their juices! I like how there are many options to choose from and that there were also several vegan options. I suggest for them to use less oil as I found it kind of greasy. Portions of food were decent however as we were choosing our toppings I saw a fly (inside the plexiglass) on the Brussels sprouts my friend had just ordered. At this point I was grossed out and for obvious reasons I casually skipped the veggies I really wanted to try. I'd like to try Bolay again hopefully with fresher foods. read more
