Amazing food with amazing employees and service. It was our first time there and Javier kindly welcomed us and explained everything to us to help us order and have the best experience. Allyson and Kyle waited us and checked up on us. They were so professional and it was obvious that they really cared about us to make sure we had a great experience. This location has really gone down hill. I put an order in a hour prior to scheduled pick up time. Food was still late and cold. Steak was all fat in two bowls and in the third, the order wasn't correct. I swore that last time I went I wouldn't return. Gave it another chance and definitely won't be back. My husband and I stopped by Bolay for their soft opening. If you've ever been to a build your own bowl restaurant (Fresh Kitchen or Chipotle) this is pretty much the same set up where you choose your base, protein and veggies. They also have different kinds of sodas and teas available that you don't see in a conventional restaurant and I loved the agave cream soda. Even with the large crowd service was quick, friendly and professional. I ordered a bowl with rice, tuna, sweet potatoes and cauliflower with cilantro pesto. Very tasty and I was impressed that the tuna was tender and fresh. I was concerned that since it wasn't a sushi or seafood restaurant it would be low quality but I would absolutely order it again. My son had bbq chicken and my husband had the steak. Both were just ok for me. They didn't have all of their options available yet for the soft opening but I will definitely come back to try more of their food. read more

I've been to the other Bolay location in winter park and LOVED it. You would think the customer service experience would be the same as Bolay in Winter Park but it was not. In fact it was some of the worst customer service Ive experienced. The main manager had a huge scowl on her face the entire time and was not welcoming at all. I could hear and see her monitoring how much much her employees were serving us. I get that it needed to be addressed but doing that in front of a customer and not being nice about it was so inappropriate. It's been about a week and half since I went to this location and I'm still thinking about the rough customer service. I will not be visiting this location again. read more

I decided to check out Bolay for their soft opening. They gave you a free small bowl with a social media check in- I'm all about the the free. I wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't been to impressed with this whole create your own bowl craze. But again, free, so I checked it out. The place was done very well. Cute colors and bright natural lighting, very welcoming. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful with any questions and allowed me to sample things. The small bowl consisted of one protein, one base and two sides. I decided on the potato noodles (super good!) the tuna (again good!) roasted cauliflower and mushrooms with the carrot sauce. They even gave me a cookie (super fresh, soft and chewy) and a soda cup (all organic and real sugar sodas with unique flavors). The bowl very tasty, and everything was fresh- hence the 4 star review. Now it would have and should have been a 5 star but the amount that they give, especially at the price is ridiculous. It's the SMALLEST scoop, I asked for a little bit more of the noodles and they said they couldn't. With all my choices the bowl was still about half way full. The amount of tuna (pokè style) was about 4 small chunks. Come on Bolay, at least fill the bowls. If you want to compete with places like chipotle don't charge extra for every little thing and don't be so skimpy!! read more

In the short time it has been open I have eaten at Bolay an embarrassing number of times, and I have yet to be disappointed! Hubs and I were looking for quick, healthy-ish food to become our new usual spot in Lake Nona, and Bolay was up for the challenge. I'm a creature of habit and tend to stick with things I like, so the rice base and tofu are my go-to's. Even if you eat meat, I recommend you try the tofu!! It's marinated and an awesome consistency and just yummmm. The pesto sauce is my all time fav. We drive a little over an hour to have Bolay when we can ~ love it THAT much. Visited 12/29. Very friendly/pleasant employees. Seems like they all enjoy working there! The thing that stood out the most was that the manager, Guillermo Novoa, was either helping his team or in the dining area, visible the entire time ... moving chairs & tables as needed, wiping tables, and checking on and chatting with customers. Was going to eat at Smash Burger this evening, but they're not open yet. Yay!!!! Because, I ate at Bolay instead! OMG!!!!! So tasty and so fresh tasting. I ordered a big bowl which was huge and I'm a real big eater!!! I made up my own bowl... with a big bowl you get 2 proteins, I had the lemon chicken and the tofu. With the large you also get a choice of 2 bases, I went with the sweet potato noodles and the kale. The kale had other stuff mixed in it and had a "special" name. Both of those bases were ooh la la good!!!! I also added mushrooms, and these wonderful cherry tomatoes that also we're mixed in with something else. Those tomatoes were memorable. I miss them already. Goat cheese was an extra .50, but added so much wonderful flavor. Plus, I love goat cheese anyway. So glad I sprung for the extra .50... Lol. Spicy Thai Sauce completed this magnificent conglomeration of total yumminess! The only bad part is.... this is the only Bolay in the area currently and I live an hour away . Tried this new spot today and woah was I impressed! Most of the time you expect a health conscience restaurant to be missing flavor but the food was not only healthy but also delicious. There were plenty of options to choose from especially for a vegetarian such as myself. First time here and the food is good but not hot enough. Temperatures need to be perfect to keep food. Taste overall is good. Service in line while selecting roping is good too. My recommendation is to have employees cleaning the tables because today at 17:15 the tables were not cleaned enough. I looked to the kitchen and saw like 10 employees and no one looking and cleaning at the dining table. Please dear managers take care of the dining area better. I will return and try again. read more
