This was another coffee shop stop on my afternoon walk. I saw Bold had good reviews, so I made a detour on my walk to stop by. There is a window bar to sit at, but not much seating outside of that, but it was quiet and pretty empty, so it would be a god place to set up to work or study. Aside from that, I wouldn't say there was anything to write home about. The inside was fine. The staff were fine. I was SUPER excited that their OG PSL was made with real pumpkin, so I had to try it. Usually pumpkin spice lattes just taste like sugar and spice and no pumpkin! Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The latte didn't taste like pumpkin or spice. I'm not sure what the flavor was, but it was not my favorite. If I were in the area, I'd go back to try a regular coffee, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. If you're looking for a quiet place to work or study, this may be a good option. read more

I discovered this coffee bar through social media and the backstory of the couple really resonated with me, so I wanted to support this business for some time. I got the opportunity a couple weeks ago when I was in the Francisville area. It is a nice spot on the busy Ridge road. The inside is inviting and had good food & drink options. I went with a breakfast bacon, egg, and cheese wrap. My beverage was a hot white mocha & caramel coffee. Both items were great. Look forward to patronizing when I'm in the area again. read more

Cute coffee bar in the Francisville neighborhood. We thought to come here for a quick coffee and bite. It's a small shop but does have decent coffee and there are a small selection of brunch/lunch items available. Parking seems to be hit or miss. We came mid morning on a Saturday and it was fairly easy to find street parking. On-site parking is not available. Inside, we ordered at the counter and then sat inside to enjoy our coffee drinks. They do have some seasonal concoctions (pumpkin spice varieties, etc) along with standard options on their regular menu. My wife also ordered a breakfast burrito. The burrito took a bit to be made as they had to make the eggs fresh. The workers were busy but were attentive and did their best to make sure our coffee didn't get cold while we waited on the food. Overall, enjoyed the experience and the coffee. Would likely return for another weekend treat when in the area. read more

We were passing though the area and decided to stop in. The interior is small and cozy. It has a few window high top spots and two tables. All the spots were taken up so we took our drinks to go. We got the brown butter caramel cookie latte (iced) and the matcha latte with a hint of rose syrup (recommended by the cashier) (hot). The brown butter caramel cookie latte was just OK and the matcha latte was basically lightly sweetened milk with a hint of matcha and rose. Not a bad place to stop as there doesnt seem to be many specialty coffee shops in the area, but nothing crazy special about this place. read more

First time at this local coffee shop on Ridge Ave. It was clean and modern. Ordered the Matcha latte and opted for lavender honey for a touch of sweetness which was surprisingly good! The lavender did not overpower the matcha flavor. Had a sip of the Oreo latte and it was also really good. Oreo crumbles in it was great! Thought the latte would be too sweet but it was actually a good blend. Some pastries available. Will try them next time. Few bar seats inside and two small tables outside. Lots of construction outside so might not be the best ambiance but it will be great once the construction is finished with a lot of new construction in the area. Street parking. They have you normal coffees which you can customize to your liking with all their flavored syrups, SF syrups and dairy free options (almond and oat milk). Not to mention a rotating seasonal list of coffee beverages and teas (have yet to find one that I don't like). They even have a normal chai and an allergen friendly chai which is super earthy! They also have a variety of tasty teas that you can make caffeinated if you need a boost without the crash. I've been going to Bold for a few months now and it's easily one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Their lavender iced oat milk lattes are always delicious and made with care. The bagels are good too! I think they're known for their more creative coffee concoctions which always tempt me, but I get the same thing every time anyway. When the weather is warmer, they have a couple of seats and tables outside and it's nice to drink your coffee and have a snack under the sun. Bacon Egg and Cheese Burrito: I'd been meaning to try their breakfast burritos ever since they started making them and when I finally got one.... IT HAD NO BUSINESS BEING THAT GOOD. They look small and more like a snack, but once you're done you're definitely full. The cheese was nice and melty and the eggs were perfectly cooked. I cannot recommend it more!! read more

Lovely, little cafe by temple university. It's a great study spot with wonderful music and fantastic baristas. They are attentive, super sweet, and make delicious drinks. This place is fantastic and my new regular coffee shop. They do the standards (drip coffee, cappuccino, mocha, chai, etc.) VERY well with consistent quality. They have a large array of signature lattes, as well as, a rotating list of seasonal drinks. So far, I'm yet to have a drink I don't like and have no complaints. The people working behind the bar are welcoming and provide great customer service. I really hope this place makes it through the pandemic because I would hate for a place like this close up shop due to external circumstances. read more
