The staff was very friendly to both greet and offer their selection of flavored syrups as it was my first time visiting. Yummy chai frappe and great service but the avocado toast was not to my taste.... I got it without bacon so maybe that was my mistake but I was disappointed that it was more Avocado paste rather than sliced fresh avocados and the honey (?) was a little odd for the dish. INCOMPETENT STAFF WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! So I walked in and ordered the simplest thing on the menu.. TWO PLAIN BAGELs, not toasted, no cream cheese. So to my surprise, after the young lady had been gone for 5 minutes after going in the back to get the bagels she came out with two bagels smothered in cream cheese. I just said to give these to someone else because it's not what I ordered...then after explaining what happened the young, and apparently inexperienced worker, just said "well maybe next time!" Didn't even offer to just grab me two $4 plain bagels that I paid for. At least the grocery next door had fresh bagels for sale and were $3 CHEAPER!!! read more

Was in the area visiting family and in need of coffee. Luckily Bomb Bru was near by and I was able to order online since I was also in a rush. After placing the order I got a call almost right away from an employee. They were just letting me know of some of the items they were out of. It was a bummer but glad they let me know before I drove there. I get there. Drinks were ready which was nice since all I wanted was my coffee. Employee was sweet. They checked in with me as soon as I got there and let me know they were still working on my food orders. Place was really nice and cute. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Inside felt really relaxing with sofas. Overall nice place. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure be stopping by. read more

I have worked in the Gold Canyon area for years, and finding good food has been difficult. Bomb Bru didn't grab my attention when it first opened since it is a coffee place and I don't drink coffee. Out for an errand though, I stopped in and grabbed the "tripwire" - their version of a turkey, bacon, avocado on a croissant - and I was blown away. It was delicious, made fresh and only cost about $8. A total steal and my new regular lunch spot when I am in the area. I am excited to try out the breakfast sandwiches in the future as well. Stopped in for lunch and cup of coffee. Coffee was from an air pot and luke warm at best. Server told me there was a microwave to rewarm the coffee. I settled for a different brew which was warmer. Order a sandwich which was tasty and enjoyable. Server was friendly. Not sure why every item on the menu had to with some type of killing or combat explosive device. Seems there's enough violence in the world without having to name menu items after destructive devices. When I go to a coffee shop I expect somewhat chilled environment. They are quick with the drinks and have a sense of urgency while still being friendly. They have a wide variety of syrups too, so you can get creative with your drinks. Drove out to Gold Canyon early Wednesday morning to drop my husband off for his round of golf, since he had an early tee time, I didn't have an opportunity to get some coffee so on my way back to Tempe. I did a quick google search and Bomb Bru popped up and it was just a few minutes away so i pulled up. On the gentleman behind the counter's recommendation i choose the Explosive Macchiato. Yummy!! Edit 5/26: went here again for the same items plus a breakfast sandwich for my husband. It was a girl working this time. I Asked for cheese on my BLT, got home and the cheese wasn't on it even though I asked. It was also lacking in lettuce. Just one small piece. I chose regular chips but realized when I got home the chips were not in the bag. Coffee was not sweetened like last time. And my husband said the breakfast sandwich was bland and could have used butter on the bagel. It seems to me like the young man who was working here the first time I visited was better at his job than the girl working today. The girl clearly does not know how to listen to order requests. I'm not sure if I'll be returning now unfortunately. Maybe I'll only visit on days the guy works since he knows how to make a basic BLT and vanilla iced coffee. Went here for the first time today. Ordered a BLT on a bagel and a vanilla iced coffee. Was greeted by a friendly young man who was very accommodating to my order. Coffee came out great and the sandwich was delicious.
