Severely disappointed. We spent over $300 on catered food from here for a work event and not only did it arrive 45 mins late but the food was not good! We ordered 2 catering stand kits and we didn't get the large pan for the bottom. The "crispy" Shrimp and churros were both dried out. The beans were layered over the rice and had no flavor. Chicken was extremely salty. We didn't order enough food for the event but it didn't matter- nobody went back for seconds. There's WAY too many Mexican food options in the area not be good. The overall reviews speak for themself. **Update** Management was very quick to rectify the situation. They had no control of the catering company being late. Came here on a Wednesday night, pretty busy for a weeknight after happy hour. Atmosphere was good, it was pretty farm so the window behind us was open and we could hear the live music from next door. Several of our orders were messed up by our waiter. She was so sweet, though. For one, our table of 5 each ordered the trio margaritas (spiced apple was amazing! Very ~fall~) and when they were brought out the orders were not right. She said that she had mixed up the seating chart on her device--not a big deal. Drinks were good otherwise. My friend who came had ordered the Vietnamese bowl with sweet potatoes and cauliflower rice instead of normal rice (she can't have grains). Her bowl came with regular rice. When we told our waitress she was so sweet and apologetic and admitted she had written it down wrong mistakenly, but it did take a bit for her new bowl to come out while we were all eating our meals. Was looking for something quick between kid pick ups on a Saturday. Was surprised to find a little nicer than fast casual ambiance but was already committed and it all looked good. First timer, Friday night, holiday weekend so not crowded. Pleasantly surprised with the food quality. We had the Brazilian cheesy bread and Mexicano Queso for apps. Delicious! My guest had traditional tacos which were "good but nothing special". I had the specialty tacos - Nashville Hot Chicken and Baja Shrimp. They were amazing. Ambiance is awesome !! They have a really cool outside space, with live music on some nights. The menu was good, it had different styles of tacos. Would not say this is even close to an authentic Mexican restaurant. The food itself was good, but not anything to write home about. We started with chips and tomatillo salsa as an appetizer and then we each got 3 tacos. I got the smoked piggy taco, Baja Shrimp Taco and the Lucha Libre Taco. Didn't like the smoked piggy at all and the lucha libre was super heavy on goat cheese. The Baja shrimp was great! Service was super quick and attentive but felt like we were being rushed out. Went on a Wednesday when it was nice weather and not too too crowded. Definitely will come back in the summer for happy hour/the outside area made it a great spot to meet up with friends. From where should I even start. 1) Carne Asada- can never go wrong with carne asada.. more like comfort food 2) blackened fish- crispy delicious fish with smoky flavor and crunch texture 3) Duck Confit- what a pleasant surprise.. Immediate fan here. I'll have to try a few more items before I go giving this the highest score, but we enjoyed our dinner there last night very much. Pretty interior as soon as you walk in. Actually, a pretty amazing exterior too, but it was cold! They had an outside fire and many tables for the warmer weather, plus a large area that looks to be used for games on artificial turf. This may be a shared space with the new Sly Fox location that just opened too. TBD on confirmation there. A bar to the right as you walk in. Probably seats 12-14 patrons and a large TV or 2 if you want to catch a game. We were greeted and seated right away to a spacious 4 top and our server, Martin was over super quick to confirm it was our first time and to go over the menu in perfect detail. He made a couple recommendations and told us about the happy hour. Even though the ad mentioned HH at the bar, we were able to take advantage until 6:30. I hope that continues. Plenty of drink and app specials. We ordered up a traditional margarita and local craft beer and put in an order for two different guacamole dishes. They really get creative with the additions too. Roasted Garlic, Candied pumpkin seeds, spicy peppers to name a few. Guacamole served with tortilla chips, plantain chips and one other chip (Malanga is the name...more earthy was how it was described). Very nice presentation and generous portions. We had to try the tacos, but their menu had salads, hand held sandwiches and they can also whip up something more plain for the kids. I loved the potato and chorizo taco and the tuna poke was a great mix of colors, textures with the tuna being slightly less tender than I had hoped. Not quite melt in your mouth. Also shared a side of their Frijoles (black beans, white rice, pico de gallo, and lime crema. Less of a portion than everything else for $4, but it was filling. This was our first time here and we have been meaning to come for awhile. We brought some family that were visiting and we all enjoyed it! Pretty disappointed, in theory I should love this place. It has an amazing outdoor space, I could definitely envision a happy hour or two there. However, the item that should be a signature.... is just another sour mix nightmare margarita. Why is fresh squeezed lime so offensive to Mexican restaurants in our area? Bit of a mess. Speaker was on right above us, even though we were on the patio for live music, so a ASMR nightmare. We were told there was no waiter available for 20 minutes, the umbrellas don't work, and when my husband went to the bar they would only give him a Togo drink while we waited for a server. We visited this location this evening and sat at the bar. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We really enjoyed our bartender, Maggie! We have been to this location many times, and we have never been disappointed. The reason I am writing and only giving 4 stars was because of the manager we overheard speaking to his staff. Unfortunately, I never got his name but he was bald and had facial hair. He looked to be in his late 30s or so. He seemed to have a very poor attitude toward the staff and was overly arrogant. I don't think he thought anyone was paying attention to him, but we were watching his demeanor after the vibes seemed off. He just seemed overly cocky toward one of his staff members. It's a shame to see management treat their workers so poorly when they are providing wonderful service to guests. Overall, we had a wonderful time and thank you to the staff! My husband and I come here all the time, the food and drinks are amazing. We just hosted our baby shower here at Bomba and we can't be more thrilled with how everything went. The staff was amazing and so helpful throughout the event. We had beautiful weather, our guests were happy, had their fill of the amazing food and raving about the smoked pineapple margarita "it's the best margarita" they have ever had. Stopped by at Bomba Taco Bar in Malvern Pa this past Saturday (7/15/2023) as it is always one of our go to places but have to say, we were quite disappointed this time. It is usually so packed and hard to just stop by but as we often do, we stopped by between 2 & 3 PM as there is usually less wait time. There was no wait time this time and there only a couple other patrons being served. We thought we got lucky in our timing. Our server was attentive and friendly as always but the food was no where near what we are used to from Bomba. We first got the Salsa trio with chips and while all three salsa's were ok, the chips tasted like they had been sitting out for a week they were so stale. My wife then got two regular tacos and I got the street tacos. Again, very sub-par! Like the chips, everything tasted like it had been leftover from previous days and then microwaved. Even the cocktails we ordered were kind of tasteless. I usually have a second but it tasted like all juice, and not good juice at that. It was supposed to be the orange hibiscus with tequila. It tasted more like orange Hawaiian Punch with no taste of tequila at all. (yuk)! My wife never even finished her drink. I forget what she ordered but she said it was horrible! We were thinking that perhaps it was so slow that day because storms were being called for and food that was prepped early in the morning was being server mid afternoon but to be honest, the food tasted like it had been reheated from previous days. We're hoping that the lack of customers on Saturday isn't a sign that this Malvern Bomba location isn't going down hill and others have found out before us. Bomba has always been so good that we won't give up so easily and will go back on a nicer Saturday. Hopefully the next time we go, it will be the Bomba we usually enjoy. read more

I went for the second time last week. The tacos are good. The margaritas are ok. Our server/ bartender was nice and attentive and they were busy. I noticed that most of the servers have very long hair and most did not have it pulled back while serving food and drinks. Manager needs to address before they get written up. read more
