I had been going to and enjoyed my previous salon for years - unfortunately they moved across town and instead of a 5 minute drive, it was now a half hour drive plus another half hour/45 minutes just to find a parking spot. I discovered Bombshell by accident - and am considering it a very happy accident! A small, clean spot with incredibly nice staff and I've also enjoyed meeting other customers. Jill has become my hair's new BFF - she immediately makes you feel comfortable and then proceeds to make you beautiful! I'm happy with the overall service and will definitely be back! read more

I'm updating my review because the owner saw my previous review and personally cut my hair herself free of charge. Lisa did a fantastic job of cutting my hair. Now I can style my hair any way I want without having to hide the mistakes by previous stylist, Nate. If you're looking for a hair salon I recommend Bombshell, especially Jill and Lisa Joe. This salon is a woman-owned/bipoc-owned business operated by an Oregonian who was raised by small business owners. Lisa Joe is committed to providing excellent service and she really takes pride in her craft and her business. Though petrified to need to change salons, Nate jumped in and made the experience a breeze. Cute salon in NoPo. So wonderful to again find a salon within walking distance. The most comfortable washbasin chairs I've ever experienced too. Affordable, efficient, great cut, great color. I also appreciate that they offer a retail line that they are honest about. Thank you to Lisa Joe for making my home haircut a thing of the past. She was able to cut my hair in a way that made it look thick (I suffer from postnatal hair loss) AND stylish. I thought that was an impossible task. I feel like she also took 10 years off my age. I keep getting compliments on the color and style. Plus, she's super fun and easy to chat with! Bombshell is a beautiful salon that is an absolute gem--it's incredibly pinterest worthy with high ceilings and fantastic decor. Besides the aesthetics, the service is amazing. Lisa Joe did my hair and did a fabulous job with the cut and color. She took a lot of time and care while coloring my hair and also gave me sparkling water! At the final result, I wasn't 100% sure about my haircut so Lisa immediately booked free haircut appointment for the following week ( we ran out of time) so that I will be no less than 1000% happy with my hair. Not only is this salon super cute, but the hairstylists are amazing. The chairs are super comfy and they have wine and sparkling water available during your time there. Nate did an absolutely amazing job on my hair! I was so impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and overall expertise. I have blonde hair and am very particular with my cut/color. Shelby has been cutting and coloring my hair for just over a year, and I'm so happy with her that I followed her to Bombshell when she moved from another salon. Shelby is always interested in how I am feeling about my hair and takes the time to ask questions and make sure she understands what I want at the beginning of every appointment. I feel at ease with her and trust her to give me feedback and advice if something won't necessarily work with my hair. She has helped me successfully grow out bangs without feeling frustrated with styling them, as well as helping me grow out more of my natural ash blonde color seamlessly (from all over very light blonde). Last week I was in for the first time and all I can say is, what a wonderful hair salon! Lisa was my hair artist and she did an amazing job! Lisa took so much time talking with me about all sorts of ways to style my hair, which products to use, making sure I didn't have any questions. When I sat in her chair she asked what I liked and disliked about my hair which was so cool. I told her I just waned a cut that might bring my slumpy curls back to life, and she delivered! I've been playing around with products and drying techniques she suggested and my girls are really looking great! The salon is so adorable- it's decorated so well and it is super clean which I loved. I procrastinate getting my hair done on a regular basis mostly because I allow other things to take precedence. Going to Nate at Bombshell may have just broken the spell I've been hoping would happen. I even re-booked in 6 weeks. It's a beautiful salon, close to home, right next to Lost and Found (meet someone for happy hour after getting beautified), Nate is very down to earth and not hard on the eyes (a bonus when you are staring at them for an hour!!!) It's the first time I've made an appointment without a referral and my hair and I are really really glad I did. Now that I know he's a wizard, I might just get crazy 6 weeks from now. After reluctantly leaving a great salon to find something closer to home, I had my first haircut and highlight by Nate yesterday. First of all, the salon is beautiful with a N. Killingsworth style -- clean, lovely, inviting but not pretentious. Tina is amazing and gives the best haircuts! I have fine hair, that's thick aka it takes forever to dry and it lies heavy and lifelessly straight on its own.
