I gave it five stars because it is as good as this sort of place gets. That does not necessarily mean that it is my type of place. Here are the facts: 1. The food, beer and wines are very reasonably priced. Very. 2. It was bustling (Friday evening between 5:00 and 6:00 PM). 3. The staff is accommodating and friendly (and attractive). 4. It is VERY noisy. We sat outside where it was a bit quieter, but it was WARTIME NOISY. I am not kidding. People were talking inside, but I have no idea how anyone was hearing. Add to that was some sort of music, but only the drumbeat was noticeable. Hint to management: Send the band home when the place is crowded. Note: the music is canned. There was no Band. 5. Some people seem to like noise, so this is likely part of the charm. Add to this the fact that almost all restaurants in the Houston area border on major freeways. The good news is that it was so noisy that there was no apparent freeway noise. Free design hint to developers: Put the front of the building on the parking lot side so that the outside eating would not be exposed to the freeway traffic. You are welcome. 6. I like the decorations. 7. I like the patio, but it could use a bit more shade. People love the shade. Great fans with mist cooling. 8. Finally, I had an Uncle Spam sandwich. It was excellent! I was pretty hesitant going because of all the bad reviews that I've read, but let me tell you I'm either super lucky or the reviews just were exaggerated. My waitress was great always keeping up with us and making sure we were doing fine, I also looked around and noticed most waitresses were attentive of their patrons need. We ordered the loaded fries and asked for chili to be added which is $2 extra. Once the fries came the chili only covered a handful of fries so we asked for additional chili. The manager then came to our table and said he agrees with us that it's not a lot of chili but said we don't get to come to a Resturant and dictate our food portions so we said we didn't want to pay the $2 for the chili so he took our food away. NOPE! My overpriced burger food was bad, like really bad, so dry that i didn't even take the leftover half home. My husband's philly cheesesteak was also gross. The fried pickles which are my favorite again were nasty. We bought cocktails that were again terrible. The food was bad but the service was also just as horrific. The darker skinned female manger with curly hair was the absolute worst/ rude!!!! The waitresses were nice but they were so busy with the other tables they hardly had time to check on us. The establishment was not crowded so I'm guessing understaffed. When we brought up our concerns of the poor quietly of the food it was a big O'WELL not even a sorry or pretend to care! I would like to start this review by first saying I am a general manager of a concert venue so I am in the industry. I would never ever complain to a manager unless something was really really really wrong. Since I am industry pretty much everyone that was in our party was also industry so it was 3 of my bartenders, 2 security, and some bar backs so mind you we are aware of what a server goes through. Seating our party of 8 seemed like brain surgery it was 10:05 pm on Monday the whole place is empty, let's get past that once seated it should take 2-3 min to be greeted and drink orders it took 8 min ........I know this because I timed it, so we order drinks 2 of the drinks were dos xx dressed once the drinks arrived we were missing my drink (dr pepper) 2 waters and none of the beers were dressed .......but we are industry we get it so next time she came around we just asked for limes just to make it easier on her ...10 min later no limes ,no dr.pepper, no water .........okay so still not upset I just get up go to the bar and get two glasses with salt rim and some limes and Dr Pepper .......this should at least raise some eye brows or concern that the table is going to the bar .........nope . It was one of our employees birthdays so we are trying to order shots for the entire table and the birthday girl but our waitress is MIA so then we go to the bar and order a round of shots . Still nothing then our food order was finally taken but no refills on drinks , did not see our waitress for 19 min other servers brought our food to us . Now we were all just sitting staring at our foods because one of us never got her food (wings and fries) but we are all waiting because don't want to be disrespectful and start eating while her food is not there yet fast forward 6 min our server walks in from the front entrance because she has been hanging out in the parking lot we wave her down and ask her about the wings and her response was "I don't know" she goes to the kitchen and apparently the wings been sitting there this whole time so she brings the wings out and pretty much slams them on the table and so my employee says "I also ordered fries" as the waitress walked away she says " you can wait for your fries before I slap you" . We were forced to get the MOD who apologized took off 20% our tab and switched servers . The new server shelbie was excellent . But the whole point to this review is that this wasn't the first time this was the 7th or 8th time we have been to this location and every single time it's been extremely bad service and this last experience was so bad that I was forced to leave this review. I am going to continue to go to this location but I can almost guarantee bad service let's hope that this review doesn't fall on deaf ears and some changes are made or retraining the employees . read more

We really wanted to like this place. We had been to one in Austin years ago and the food was good. My burger was horrible. It was over cooked and not even as described on the menu. They clearly didn't have what I ordered so they threw together the closest match. Our server was very professional. Unfortunately, our food was so mediocre that we can't go back. read more

Came to bombshells with my family the other night and our servers name was Megan .. we waited to be greeted for 5 minutes then our drinks took another 10... then we asked for a manger and she said she was gonna get us one and we watched her walked to another co worker and stand and chit chat and never did we get a manager .. food was alright but service was terrible !!! Well, this was my first visit to Bombshells, to get an order to go. I went to the bar, the young lady there was more interested in flirting with several of the customers that doing her job. She took my order and I waited, while she was flirting an order came out from the kitchen, the young lady brought it to the counter and waited for the bartender to acknowledge that it was there, she never did, the young lady brought me the order, I finally got the bartenders attention to ask her to check it and she was rude, it want my order. Finally the manager brought my order out. I will say the food was excellent. However if this is the way you treat customers I'm not sure how long you will survive. read more

Never again. A group of 8 golfing buddies decided to go out tonight to watch the Astros ALDS. One of my friends has been pushing us to try the new Bombshells on 249 for months so we decided to give it a try. Starting at the beginning of the baseball game, they started charging a $10 cover. And if you were already in the restaurant, they came around and told you if you don't pay the cover you have to leave. I won't even mention that the server didn't even talk to me for 15 minutes and that I had to watch my 2nd game (which was on ESPN) on my phone because they "don't have enough tuners". How stupid do you have to be to ask ID for two people who are obviously in their 50's and 60's, and to presume we are going to use a credit card. They need to train their bartenders and wait staff. Some girl showed up after 20 minutes and took our order. In 5 minutes one of us got her food, others sitting with the water that manager brought. Still no food. The only one in our party with food had politely waited for us to be served before touching her"s. I had to chase the manager again. He apologised and took her food away since it was cold by then. Then returned the same plate with other orders while we were walking out. Two of us had to literally walk to the bar for drinks, ketchup. Not even once anyone came to see if anything was needed. I just threw some money on the table and we left for another restaurant without eating here. We really didn't go to look at short skirts. The food menu is great they are also served in big portions so that's a plus! The music is good too! I've had bad service at a few bombshells locations including this one, but I like the food and drinks, so I decided to give it another try, and I'm glad I did. I had Jade as my waitress a few nights ago as well as for lunch today she's fairly new, but she's amazing, quick, and super attentive despite how busy it got at night she always checked on my table, she made me and my girlfriends feel very welcomed (usually no one pays attention to a table full of females) but she did which I loved!! My wife and I went to Bombshells for dinner and drinks a few hours before we headed to the movies. We were having a good time watching the VERY end of the Texans game. Once the game was over, the music came up and then the fun actually began. The staff and customers were jamming to the music when all of a sudden, Bombshells dropped the music for the lame dick Sunday Night football, a game that showcased no local teams. I kind of blurted out "Where's the Music" and got the same results from patrons around us. I called over the bartender who was very sweet to ask where the music went. She told us that management said that they HAD to show (with sound) all Sunday Night, Monday Night and Thursday Night games. Well that sucked and the bartender agreed with us! No one cared about this game. We canceled our food order, paid the tab and left. It's a shame since we were having a great time. One star because of managements bad directive! read more

Nice, new building, but overall horrible restaurant. Got a beer, dirty glass. Ordered an appetizer, dirty plate. Ordered a cheesesteak, got a soggy bun (moisture soggy, not from the meat/cheese) and just overall tasted bland. This is the second time I've tried to bring people to this new location and after two bad visits I'm over it. Waitress wasn't helpful and messed up every order (didn't receive the replacement beer until later in the meal when I asked again). The manager was the least helpful I've experienced. Could not have cared less and just made excuses for everything we dealt with as if it were somehow our fault. In the end we had to request that the beer in the dirty glass and food I didn't eat be taken off the bill. Is this place for real? read more

The service was not very good and the waitresses spend too much time flirting with guys that are customers. They ignore their other tables that have families or women. The food at this location wasn't as good as the Spring location so that was a big disappointment. The Spring location also has issues with their waitresses spending too much time at tables with all guys. Luckily, when we were at their location we had an awesome waitress that spent her time waiting on all her customers & the food was great. They also had a manager that looked like she was trying to control the girls gathering at one table that had 2 guys. The waitresses need more training on customer service! read more
