    Box of assorted macarons!

Best place for macarons! The price hasn't changed at all either. There are so many varieties it's hard to just choose 3 or 6 so we always tend to go for the box of 40? A must get when at Granville island.a vancouver treasure. They also have classes which I intend to take one day..

We went to the factory one afternoon and we were the only ones. Yay for us! If you go to the one in the Public Market, it can be quite busy. We picked our flavors and they were delicious! However, I tried to save 3 to eat 3 days later and they did not fair well-super hard, so be mindful to eat them that day or next at the most. They have a 3hr class that you can make your own macarons as well.

Ok so apparently this company has been around since, if I recalled correctly, 2013 in Victoria (run by Yann) and 2015 in Kits, which has just relocated to the Granville island market (run by David). They also have a very cool industrial retail/kitchen space where they offer macaron making classes for corporate or private group functions. What?! Why have I not come across this place before? The macarons! Ooo la la! I've had the ones in France so this was a super exciting discovery for me. Had to try one of each of the current flavours minus chocolate and vanilla because, well there were other more interesting ones to taste. Like: field berry, creme brûlée, salted caramel, tiramisu, maple bacon, sour cola, strawberry balsamic, zesty praline, black sesame. Yes I tried many Flavours and my favourite was maple bacon, black sesame and strawberry balsamic not just because they're different but damn delicious! Nice chew and perfect amount of filling to cookie ratio and not overly sweet. Bonus treat!! Not done just yet! They just started serving up MACALATO!!! Macaron gelato sandwiches!!!! OMG! It's amazing! All ingredients locally sourced and some freeze dried and powdered for flavour intensity! To die for!! I chose a BluePeach gelato with a coconut macaron cookie and rolled in caramel crunchy topping. In this heat you could probably eat three then go for a nice long walk around Granville island! Bon appetite!

My partner and I were yet indecisive again when we arrived at Granville Island trying to figure out what to eat! We walked by Bon Macaron Patisserie and loved their display and variety of flavours. My partner having a sweet tooth, she stopped me in my tracks. We tried the Hojicha, Mango Orange Blossom, Yuzu, Matcha, Blueberry Lemon(?) and another I can't recall (I think it was a raspberry flavour...). All of them did not disappoint and we literally ate all of them minutes after we left!

Very sweet macaron factory on Granville Island. Didn't get to visit the market location, but got some complimentary macarons for the Yelp event :) The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations on their huge selection of macaron flavours. Some of them are super interesting, like the sour cola. My favourite one was the black sesame. Even though macarons are usually just sugary, the individual flavours of these macarons really shine through.

Came here on a Sunday early afternoon. We got a 12 pack here. Not as many flavors as I would've liked. The place was hard to find for those that are not familiar with the area. The address on Yelp takes you to their factory where the macaroons are made not the actual shop where they are sold. The place where they are made had about 8 or so flavors to choose from so if your planning on getting a bigger selection look for their shop inside the public market, about a 5 minute walk. The macaroons themselves were pretty good. Nothing too extravagant or over the top though. Lastly, they are only taking cards at the moment.

Sweets: six pack macarons for $11.00 Staff were super nice, they even through in the last lavender (which they did notify me it was slightly damaged) at no extra charge. Yuzi Orange Matcha Result: sweet and delicious tried recalling all the items ordered, but unfortunately drawing a blank. I wished I had better closer images of the display, but there was a line up so pictures of the case is rushed. I apologize for this. The next time I am at Granville Island, I would like to try the following (based on the display case) Root Beer float Watermelon

I love them! We stop by every time we're in Vancouver. Fun flavors and a unique variety that makes me want to try everything. These make for great gifts - if you don't end up eating them all first! * White truffle: Amazing. * Blackcurrant: Tasty, with a really nice shell. * Ginger honey: We were pretty impressed by the cream. * Mint choco: Mint tasted fresh and just-picked, pretty impressive. * Mulled wine: Shell wasn't the greatest (a little too gritty), but the flavor/aroma was perfect. * Gingerbread: Such a lovely Christmas flavor. * Creme brulee: Doesn't taste too special, but it's hard to evoke the feeling of creme brulee without burnt sugar so I won't hold it against them. Other ones we've tried are Whiskey Choco, Yuzu, Oreo, Champagne, Jasmine, Goat Cheese & Fig, Dulce de Leche, and Earl Grey.

Service is good. I like the different flavor selection and it's not too sweet. I bought of of each flavor.

Had the best time going to this new location. Wow. Such beautiful big bright space to watch the magic happen. Its a little hidden away from the rest of the island and its quite nice too. No line up (ssshhhhhh) and also not that many macarons to choose from. Although I did arrive mid day. What's special about this location is that they have malcatos here. Yeah thats right. Gelato macaron sandwiches. OmG. Shut the front door now. Unfortunately I didn't try one but I had the macarons and mmmmmm they were absolutely delicious. Come check this place out and book a private lesson. I'm definitely come back to this location again!

I really enjoyed all the macarons I tasted here. The flavors are clean, distinct, and all very delicious. I tried banana peanut butter (this was awesome!) strawberry kiwi, sake, ginger honey (the taste was more subtle, but maybe because I tried some of the heavier flavors first that may have made it more subtle) white truffle, and yuzu. They have so many interesting flavors that I would come back over and over again just to try more.

All of them had good flavor, but half of them had not nearly enough filling which was disappointing.

Cute little bakery specializing in macarons! They have a ton of flavours to choose from, including some savoury and dairy free options. The macarons are on the smaller side here, so I tried two of them. I chose the Blackberry Lime and the Very Berry. They were both so nice and light with vibrant flavours. I also saw they sell their own marshmallows, which are one of my weaknesses. I'll definitely have to come back to try them! Great customer service as well!

I found J'Adore Les Macarons on Yelp that they offer macron class, let's do it! The instructor Connie is friendly and knowledgeable. My friend and I arrived 10 mins early before the class, the notes and some ingredients were prepared and placed on countertop. Yes, we made macarons at her kitchen. The first thing I learnt from Connie was how to pronounce Macaron. (Mac-a-ron). Macaron is referring to the French Macaron. If pronounce it macaroon, it is the coconut kind. We started with a cup of tea and tasted beautiful macarons during the class. Our group decided to make Lavender macarons with buttercream and chocolate ganache which made of 66% Valhrona dark chocolate. Connie taught us her secrets and techniques to make Parisian macarons. During the class, she vigilant in checking and measuring the ingredients. After 4 hours long class, I really enjoyed and learnt a lot. I took 18 macarons home and shared with my friend and hubby. I would recommend any macaron lover to take the class or buy the macarons from Connie

I am relatively new to them as just being introduced to them this year! Although I am a macaron noob, I've looked online and read recipes and know enough about them to truly appreciate the precision that goes into its creation. So I went to their website and signed up for a class on Victoria day. I went on my own as my friend was unavailable. Connie, the instructor emailed me promptly to let me know as soon as there are 4 people in the class, it will be good to go. The class is held at Connie's house which I liked as it was warm and comfortable and made me feel at ease. I'm just a self-taught baker making assorted cookies and cupcakes at home and have never taken a class before so I didn't know what to really expect. The intimate setting of having 4 students was awesome. She had tea for us to drink, fun aprons to wear and 2 sample macarons to taste as we learned the secrets of baking macarons. It's great for people who have tried making macarons and need to tweak something to make consistent perfect macarons. You can tell Connie is just obsessed with macarons. I love it! She has done the work, spent time learning the skill and art of them and loves sharing that information through her classes. I think she said she has been making macarons weekly for the past year and a half! That's a LOT of macarons. If you love macarons and love to bake, Connie's class is a MUST. I had so much fun, and she is so pleasant. She even welcomes emails if you have a macaron crisis at home and have questions in the future. The price is fair. $100 for instruction PLUS you get to take 20 macarons home! It was definitely worth it. The whole experience makes me dreamy for Paris and macarons. Thank-you again Connie for generously sharing your expertise!

Since my mother cannot eat overly sweet desserts, I only planned to buy one single macaron for myself. Throughout ordering, I smiled and spoke polite, proper English without any disruptive behaviour. One female staff member asked "only one?" twice in an exaggerated, mocking tone after I confirmed my small purchase. During checkout, two female staff exchanged eye contact and snickered quietly at us. Right after I pushed open the entrance door and was still halfway out of the shop, they burst into obvious, loud laughter directed at me and my mother. When I calmly asked what they were laughing about, they stared at me and kept jeering without a single word of explanation. These macarons are sold at a very high premium price in downtown Vancouver. If the shop required a minimum spending amount, clear notices should have been posted in advance. Without any posted purchase rules, every customer deserves the freedom to pick any number of items they want, rather than facing open ridicule from employees. I cannot stop wondering whether visitors of other ethnic backgrounds buying just one macaron would receive this same cold, mocking treatment. This upsetting encounter ruined the mood of both my mother and me entirely. Vancouver is famous for multicultural friendliness and inclusive hospitality. It is truly disappointing that a world-famous premium French pastry brand allows such unkind, judgemental service toward guests here. I have submitted a formal complaint to Ladurée global headquarters and attached storefront photos as proof for this review. Travellers and local residents should think twice before visiting this location.
