    Miso kimchi ramen
    Tatiana D.

Ordered the miso kimchi ramen and a Thai tea and it was delicious! It was very busy so I wouldn't recommend eating inside if you have a larger party because there are people using the space waiting for their order (also kind of loud). Luckily, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The staff worked quickly and were very friendly. Very large portions - left full! Definitely a must try!

One of the best meals you can get in Cambridge for less than $15! It's pretty difficult to find a full meal, with meat, vegetables and a main carb for under $15, that's not just a sandwich, but Bon Me is one of the few awesome places where you can! Their dishes are an amazing bang for your buck in terms of portion size and all of their dishes are so tasty. This chicken and pho dish had an amazing blend of savory and sweet from the sauce. The vegetables and peanuts have the dish a variety of textures. Thinking about it still makes my mouth water!! Would highly recommend Bon Me for a quick lunch or refreshing snack (you would probably have to split a dish between two people as a snack) on a hot day! When I visited two weeks ago, indoor dining was still closed off (understandably, as it is a small place) but there are plenty of small tables spread out to abide with social distancing guidelines. There's a bit of construction happening next to the chairs, but it's on a lower level and it generally doesn't bother me when I'm eating.

Food Truck Fave, one of the preset bowl options

There's a reason the line is always so long at Bon Me...the lunchtime crowd knows a good deal, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better one in this area. For around $10 you can get a bowl (build your own or choose from a list of preset options) that is chock full of delicious, fresh ingredients. And the spice is right, flavorful without turning your mouth numb. The Kendall Square location is tiny, with only a few tables and stools available. It's definitely a nod to the food truck roots that this location is better suited for taking orders to go. If you're looking for a good lunch option in the neighborhood, you can't go wrong with Bon Me.

The Thai basil lemonade was refreshing and delicious, and the boba was surprisingly good. The namesake sandwich was ok. Wouldn't get it again but open to trying their other food options. You order on the iPad, and service is fast.

I can't stop getting this Pork Fried Rice. Large portion and so delicious!

Pork fried rice and the lemongrass fried chicken keep me coming back and back again! So good and portion in the rice is very goo for the price. Prices are a bit high here but I find that I get my money's worth with the rice. Gets busy during lunch hours so make sure to order ahead online for easier pick up.

live love fast casual asian-esque food -- a little disappointed with the lack of customization for the salad, but the other options actually look pretty great. still, the chicken was tender and delish!

Nice lunch dish. Healthy and fulfilling for a good price Try the thai limeade and the huild your own noodle or rice salad is great option

Bun Bowl - way too much ground meat and sauce plus mushy texture.

This was my first experience with Bon Me. I live in a small MI town with almost zero ethnic restaurants, so I was excited to find this place 1/2 mile from my Airbnb. I've had lots of good Vietnamese in the Pacific Northwest, so that was my benchmark. I ordered the Bun Bowl and was very disappointed. It had way too much finely chopped chicken (more like ground chicken with the occasional chunk - it was very unappetizing), too much liquid, soggy veggies, and not enough noodles. It was a big mushy mess, to be honest. I only ate about half of it. And even though I told the counter cashier (sorry, missed the iPad thing - I figured that was just there for when it got busy!) that my order was dine-in, my food came in a carry-out container. So much for trying not to create more trash! On the flip side, the Basil Limeade was delicious! Not too sweet, and really refreshing on an unseasonably warm fall evening. Since there are so many others raving about this place, I'm thinking maybe I ordered the wrong thing or am unfairly comparing it to what I was used to (which was a light and fresh stir-fried beef vermicelli salad bowl). Or, this dish just isn't that good. I probably should have done the build-your-own bowl option. Oh well! It was worth trying once.

    Vietnamese Summer Bowl

I used to love this place but I think the quality and quantity has decreased over the years. I just paid $14 for the Vietnamese summer bowl and it is tiny, flavorless, unimaginative, and they charged to swap chicken for tofu. I'm leaving still very hungry.

    Food Truck Fave

Came here a couple of times for lunch. I've tried the food truck fave and the miso kimchi ramen. They are both pretty filling, as they were decent sized portions. I understand why the food truck fave is called what it is-it's really good. It's a bit spicy for those who don't like heat though. I've also had their un-thai iced tea a couple of times. I think it's pretty good-not too sweet. For around $10, it's a pretty solid lunch choice. Service is quick too-even when there's a huge line in front of you. But I would order online for pick up if you're in a hurry.

Love Bon Me. Wish I worked in the Financial District to relish in Bon Me yummies like every day. On days that I would get off work early, I'd head to Boston, and hit up the food trucks in Dewey Square. There would be Mei Mei, Cookie Monstah, Clover and almost always, Bon Me. I've been here twice now. The first time, I tried the Chinese BBQ pork with rice and salad. It was good, but a little on the salty side. The second time, I tried the ginger chicken with rice and salad. This was super light and tasty, and I loved it. Be back to try more soon :)

This is my go to lunch place when we don't order as a group. Food is very consistent every time I order. The staff is friendly and the lines move quickly. They have self ordering kiosks now which I don't like as I customize my order quite a bit. Their menu has grown since first opening. They now have hot soup to go with rice bowls and subs. Whatever you order, get extra spicy mayo. Love it!! Wish they sold it by the tub. They also have online ordering.

    Food truck!

I've been to both the food truck (which is parked for lunch most days in the Harvard Square Science Center plaza) and the brick and mortar place in Kendall (corrected - open for lunch and dinner!). Bon Me is very very good. The food the sell is fresh and very delicious. You can tell they're quite popular from how ubiquitous their cardboard food boxes have become on campus. I've had both their sandwich and their noodle salad and would definitely recommend both. I think the soba is a lot better than the rice noodle salad, but both come with generous heaps of veggies, noodles, and whatever meat/tofu you decided to get. For the salads, they have three dressings. The Vietnamese vinaigrette is quite reminiscent of Vietnamese fish sauce, and even gives off that faint, sweet-stinky pungent smell. The peanut dressing is quite spicy. The toasted sesame is probably my favourite, although fair warning it's quite salty. T.ey have a fourth one - miso lime - that I have to go try now! The sandwich is pretty big, and comes heaped with pickled veggies and meat - they even get the fish sauce and pate in right. When I get it, the bread is usually kind of stale but not in a bad way. I feel a little torn about prices - in terms of Harvard Square and the general area (as well as the huge amount of food you're getting) Bon Me is a very good deal. However, I could go to Chinatown to get a better bahn mi for half the price. The meat and tofu options are all quite good - I think their miso pulled pork is very popular, but I personally find it way to salty and very very soggy - it'll make your sandwich very soggy, and the mountain of slop is a lot to get through if your order it on their noodle salad. I would say that that BBQ pork is my favourite. Bon Me isn't very authentic if you're looking for real, authentic Vietnamese food, but overall, it's delicious and pretty affordable. If you're ever close to Kendall or spot the truck it's absolutely worth a try.

Not spicy. Not too saucy, so you can "feel" the noodle, but I would have liked more vegetables. -- Yibin Fiery Noodles: Warm and similarly al dente, these were manageably spicy. Meat crumble, seeds or nuts, scallions, and heat. -- Red and Green Pepper Chicken: Batterless but crisp, tender, and not boneless. Relentlessly spicy from several heat sources and kaleidoscopically delicious. The closest comparison is dry hot chicken that also goes by a few other names, but this was better. Elite, and the best thing I ate in all of 2025, but sadly no longer on the menu. -- Stone Pot Tofu: Billed as Ma Po Tofu sizzling in a stone pot, but no sizzle and no stone pot. Identified as very spicy but minimally spicy and more numbing (more "ma" than "la"). I enjoyed the overall flavor (heavily seasoned) and the saltiness of the fermented black beans. Despite some of the menu discrepancies, this was a really good version for my tastes. Near-elite. -- Green Beans With Eggplant: Strong flavor, not too hot spicewise, but volcanically hot temperaturewise. Decent. -- Chicken and Clams: Black bean flavor, whole peppercorns, spicy but loaded with flavor beyond the spice. A deceptively huge and quite delicious. Elite. -- Beef Spring Rolls: Not my choice. Crisp, beefy, and chili sauce on the side added contrast. Solid, but boring, more typical of an Americanized offering, and a waste of an opportunity given Too Hot's killer menu. -- Pork Belly with Fermented Beans: Superb rendition, not drastically different from twice cooked pork, but much more flavor and giant pieces. Outstanding overall experience, with the best dish on the first visit and almost all winners on the second. They have a limited menu with some items being seasonal but the waiters are very helpful and will let you know. I strongly recommend the toro, it is on the pricey side for $55 but it is one of their most popular dishes and I would say it's worth it. One dish that was recommended by everyone that I was a little disappointed about was the lobster roe pasta. It was good but I didn't enjoy it as much as expected and it started become gummy like so if you don't eat it quickly, it may become like this. It is a little plain without the lobster meat but there is an additional $15 charge so that is up to you. We also got another dish, I forget the name I think it was some black bean octopus over rice. We started with the temaki sushi ($32) which came with two handrolls that had a good balance of rice and fish. They weren't super large but were fresh and had good flavor. We then got the miso-braised pork shoulder ($18), which was a larger portion than expected. This was our favorite dish, as the pork was very tender and flavorful. The dish had pieces of cabbage which were soft, naturally sweet, and soaked up all the flavor of the sauce. I would get this again, but with some rice because it was seasoned strongly. As this seems to be one of their most popular dishes, we also ordered the lobster roe pasta ($34). While the noodles were creamy and tasty, I think this dish is more worthwhile if you add the lobster (+$15). It does become even pricier at that point, but the noodles on their own were not super memorable. At the end we had some stomach space left and were still curious about the menu so we ordered the monkfish katsu ($25). I regretted getting this! The breading and fish basically tasted like the frozen fish fingers you can buy from the grocery store. While the yuzu tartar sauce was tasty, the rest of the dish was just not worth it. Overall, I thought the fish was good quality and really loved the pork shoulder. I would definitely eat here again, but would do more research on different menu items ahead of time.

Huge shoutout to Eduardo, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our sisters holiday outing feel special and intentional, and to our server Paulina, who was attentive, warm, and truly wanted everything to be perfect. And it was. Let's talk ambiance first because whew. Chic. Stylish. Aesthetic on aesthetic. Even the walk to the bathroom felt curated. Ladies... the mirror alone deserves a moment. Full body selfie approved. Now the drinks. The mocktail I had was SO good. Balanced, flavorful, refreshing. I like a mocktail that has flavor and layers without being super sweet. The apps thoughhhhhh! They deserve their own paragraph because baby... The crab rangoon was TO DIE FOR. That old school wrap dough situation? I have been hunting for that exact texture and flavor forever. My fave restaurant switched dough and I haven't had a good Rangoon since then until now. It was crispy, nostalgic, and perfect. The fried egg rolls? Delicious. The pickled cucumbers? Bright and refreshing and er literally ate every drop, lol. But the WINNER... those fall off the bone ribs. I might have made a sound when I bit into them. Cooked to perfection. A full blown flavor party in my mouth. The scallion pancakes were the only thing that did not hit for me. The dough was thicker and heavier than I prefer. I love mine light and airy like traditional scallion pancakes. If they leaned that way I would have been obsessed. Our main courses... baybeeee The Dan Dan noodles... I did not even get a bite. I went to ask my sister for a taste and they were GONE. All of them. That says everything. My other sister loved the dumplings and even more that they fried them for her instead of serving them traditionally. And the sauce with those dumplings... Let me tell you about the sauce. I am OBSESSED. I took some home and Eduardo generously gave me more to take. That is top tier service and an at home sauce party, lol. My fried house rice was excellent. The mix of veggies and flavors was perfection. With everything else we ordered I could not even finish it. And then... dessert. Eduardo and Paulina surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake that was so light and decadent, topped with fruit and homemade whipped cream. Next time I am absolutely saving space for that. The customer service was truly top tier. The decor, the food, the staff, the background music. Everything PERFECT. My sisters and I sat for hours. We laughed. We ate. We shared emotions. We were present. That alone tells you how comfortable and welcoming this space is. I would go back today. I cannot wait to bring my husband and some of my fellow foodies. Trendy downtempo/chill-out music, showy decor, and a clean modern appearance, yet there were only two other patrons on a Saturday evening. But the food is where the rubber meets the road, and the food here was mediocre. Ordered the sushi bites and tuna tacos and everything was slathered in sauces that were over-flavored and not prepared with any sort of light touch. The place is trying hard to be hip, trendy, and fancy, but is somehow out of touch with that subtle X-factor that makes a restaurant stand out. The kicker was that I got food poisoning within an hour of eating. Maybe the tiger was lucky, but I was not so lucky.

Staff was very knowledgeable about each entree, and provided information about how entrees were cooked and served. They also had a "halvsies" menu of half-size portions (ideal portions for one or two diners). Started with the Mama Chang Pork Dumplings, which were excellent, and the cauliflower appetizer (a little spicy, but very good). Liked the udon noodles with chicken and bok choy, although a little less red chili pepper would have suited my tastes better (good for those who like a bit of zing to their food). The lettuce wrap chicken was well worth the 20-minute wait. Finished with the lemon ginger mousse, which was very light. The fortune cookie on the mousse was fresh and crisp, so good that some thought it might have been baked at Joanne Chang's Flour Cafe and Bakery. The finish was extra nice, with a red lucky envelope with chocolates accompanying the check, an orange at each table (signs for good fortune in the New Year), and red decorations hanging in the restaurant to create a festive setting. Good choice for the start of the New Lunar Year of the Fire Horse!

The interior is very cool, cozy, and the cool red paint design on the glass windows makes it all feel very charming and comfortable. We did have a bit of a wait for our table despite having reservations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share between the 4 of us - scallion pancake, bourbon chicken wings, spicy salmon rolls, pork belly buns, sliced beef, eggplant, hot n sour soup, golden potato and lemongrass soup. I think my favorite of those was the eggplant dish - perfectly cooked and flavorful with ginger and soy. Wings were good too. The soups were nice I liked the hot n sour one. The lemongrass soup was a creamy one quite tasty but also quite filling and rich. For entrees, we ordered the roasted soy glazed salmon, the Indonesian fried rice, bok choy and surf and turf noodles. Everything was good. We were all so full and also had leftovers. But decided to order dessert too - everyone loved the vanilla bean ice cream (the menu described it as a parfait) with orange granita - really generous too - 3 scoops of ice cream and the orange sorbet which was more granular than a sorbet more like very finely crushed ice. Very refreshing! The banana caramel crème brûlée was really good too - nice and creamy. The lemon ginger mousse was very creamy but I thought had a bit too much of ginger. I think the deserts were hands down everyone's favorite part of the meal despite everyone pretty much denying they wanted any! Service was very friendly by our server Julie who was delightful! Lovely young lady. Overall great experience!!

There was a great singer, pianist, and sax player to really set the mood. They were super fun, especially when a couple got engaged! To start, I got their ginger martini and while my friend went with a Do-er neat (not a whiskey drinker myself, lol). He tried to order 2 of their beers but they were out of both. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.

The restaurant was buzzing when we arrived, but we were seated right away at the last available table. The space felt both lively and cozy, perfect for a date night. Service started a bit slow, but once it picked up, the pacing was excellent. Our server was more hands off, which worked well, letting us settle in and enjoy the night without feeling rushed. We started with the Larb Pork Dumplings, which were beautifully presented with chili lime mayo, fresh herbs, and crispy greens. They were fried perfectly, packed with bright Thai flavors, and the added crunch from the greens made the dish even better. With five dumplings, it was a great portion to share. For dinner, we ordered the Crispy Basil Burger and the Thai Garlic Burger, both cooked medium and full of flavor, with Thai seasoning adding a unique twist to the beef.

It has all of the flavors and textures of Khao Soi, with pickled mustard greens for acid, crispy noodles for a crunchy flair, and just the right amount of spice. I find myself craving it often! The one and only bone I have to pick with Black Ruby is that the service, while very attentive, is almost TOO fast. I get that they want to turn tables over efficiently, but the last couple of times I've come, I kind of felt like they were rushing me out. I came here to catch up with a couple friends and our food came almost instantly, before our drinks, and the waitress seemed eager to keep us moving. I think our entire meal was less than 50 minutes. While I'll definitely be back, I think it won't be somewhere I'd bring friends anymore since it's just not enough time for a full conversation.

They're filled with this flavorful broth so despite looking very unassuming they were bursting with flavor. We came here on a Sunday evening without a reservation and were seated in 10min. The menu is entirely online but food came out quickly after we ordered. Dishes we got: - beef laghman: spiced well and chewy noodles! I liked it, although I was a bit confused if it was Uyghur or Chinese because it tasted very similar to Chinese food to me - Pork dumplings: delicious, you have to get these. They look so boring. They're SO good and there's so many. - Mapo tofu: my mouth was very numb eating this but the tofu was silky smooth. I can only assume it was good but I didn't have much spice tolerance left in me after the laghman.

The restaurant had a really great ambiance, and I enjoyed being able to watch the chefs prepare the food. We ordered the ginger cabbage salad, the coconut eggplant, and the duck noodles. I would have loved to have tried their sushi grade salmon, but they were unfortunately sold out for the night. So I would recommend arriving earlier if you would like to try it. My favorite dish was the duck noodles. I liked the freshness of the basil in the pesto, and the tenderness and juiciness of the duck. The coconut eggplant was a close second favorite. The coconut flavor was delicious, and I liked the nuts on top for crunch. I also found the ginger cabbage salad to be yummy, but not as much as a standout as the other two dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot for dinner. I liked how fresh everything was, and how the dishes felt very light and healthy. It's definitely a bit on the pricier side, but I found it to be very worth it. I definitely come back and try their lattes and other dishes.
