A very authentic Thai restaurant for the area. The vibes are more casual than I thought. It's mostly a takeout place. There are some tables here, but they serve your food on plastic plates and utensils. The cashier is very friendly. During our visit here, it was super hot and there was no AC. We just sat there, eating while sweating. Fortunately, we finished food fast and sat outside to chat. The cashier came out a little later and said "I'm so sorry! I forgot to turn on the AC! You guys can come back inside if you want." We were okay at that point. We came early in the day, so there was plenty metered street parking on Gardner Street. The food is really good, definitely one of the better Thai food in Boston. read more

YUM! what a hidden gem for authentic and delicious thai food in the Boston area. Thai Dish is super causal place, on BU campus seems to cater towards the student lifestyle of takeout with a few options for sitting but all plastic cutlery and dishes. You order at the counter (our server was super sweet and friendly) and either sit or take to go. We had the pad see ew with crispy pork and it was DELISH!! The crispy pork was both crunch and tender, and the noodles were saucy, garlicky, and well flavored. We also got the Tom Yum Noodle soup with seafood. I loved it, perfectly sour, lightly spiced, and the noodles and meat portions were just right. So happy to have found this place! read more

Every item we've had has been amazing but especially the crab Rangoon, shrimp shumai, gyoza, shrimp drunken noodles, green curry chicken, and crispy chicken on any of the fried rice options. I ordered the chicken bowl and while tasty it was awfully dry even thought I asked for extra sauce. I added more of my own sauces when I got home because three bites in, it's dry chicken over dry rice with peppers. Service was friendly but wouldn't return for this dish. read more

I just stopped by this place, for taking out Pad Thai with Crispy Chicken. Dish was very plain, kinda boring but flavour was excellent, both Chicken and noodle themselves are cooked just right. Noodle had super little green onion so I added baby arugula from my refrigerator. Again flavour was really good, not too sweet, not too saggy on noodle, this made me wanna try more dish from this place. Since they had only a few people sitting, my order came out ready to go very quickly. Sauce came with small container was typical for these Asian restaurant. Got an opportunity to try them out a few days ago though a chance collaboration, and boy, I'm glad I did! We tried two rice bowls (chicken grapow and garlic chicken), veggie pad, that, pad woon sen, and veggie spring rolls. First of all, the portions were HUGE. This all lasted a few meals! Secondly, pickup was very easy. They have a table setup outside the restaurant (they even had hand sanitizer for you!) and you can simply walk up and mention your order. The star of the show were there rice bowls! The chicken was well cooked, properly seasoned, and so flavorful. The grapow had a spice to it but it was right on point. And for $8, this is great value for your money. You essentially get a big meal and now you're free to try more variety too! The only change I would have made is requested for more sauce (I like my rice dishes covered in sauce, that's just me!). The spring rolls with the plum sauce made a perfect side dish. Next up, the pad Thai and pad woon sen were tasty and hit the mark. We ate them as leftovers over a couple of days but they held up well! They are certainly creative and trying to come up with new varieties, and I'm excited! Can't wait to try their satay and curries next, I'm sure I'll enjoy them too. Ordered delivery based on high reviews. Meals were appropriately priced for the food and would suffice if you were looking for a quick bite. Green curry had flavor but was watered down. Crab rangoons were definitely sweetened so the consistency of the cream cheese looked a bit off. read more

Glad there are two Thai Dish's, since the one near us closed. We love the Duck curry lunch here! Tender duck in a flavorful, creamy sauce, at a super reasonable price for duck. I prefer the duck curry to the mango curry w duck myself, but go w mango if you like slightly more sweet and mango-y Tofu/massaman is great too, though it's difficult for us to choose this over the wonderful duck curries. Sauces are high quality, clearly made with care and each sauce tastes unique. And service is so fast + attentive, too. Great lunch spot. read more

I stopped at Thai Dish for lunch today. Very small place just off Commonwealth Avenue. Extensive menu, you order at the counter for sit-down or take-out. I ate by the window (I was the only customer at that hour) I began with a generous bowl of the Tom Kha Gai Soup, slices of chicken with mushrooms in light coconut milk flavored with galangal, chilies and lime $4.25. The unique flavors of the galanga and lime combined with the slightly sweet coconut milk make this soup one of my favorites. Then I had the Pickpow bowl with choice of meat (my choice a chicken) slightly spicy, delicious sautéed with chili sauce with mushrooms, carrots, red peppers, scallions, and baby corn. $10. Served with a huge bowl of white rice. The portion as large and I took half home. The food was so good I wanted to try their Chicken Pad Thai. I took one order to go. Rice noodles stir fried with tamarind sauce, fish sauce, egg scallion. $9.25 The place is immaculate, the staff very friendly and accommodating. This place was fantastic. At first it was a little difficult to find (the gps kept saying arrived but it was actually at the beginning of the street). There is only street parking. I've gotten take out from here a few times and haven't had a bad experience. Parking can always be found a short walking distance away. I've tried a variety of noodle dishes: drunken noodles, pad woon sen and the pad see ew. The food is prepared quickly and still hot when I get home. Ingredients are fresh, flat noodles are nice and chewy. The only thing that I don't love is that I'm always parched after eating from here. They definitely do put a lot of salt in their food. One of the best thai dish place I've ever been to! I had a wonderful experience trying out their drinks, dishes, and dessert in one sitting for ~$15 per person. One word to describe the food here: authentic. The thai iced tea was a bit sweet (still doable), but the thai iced coffee was perfect. We ordered the pad thai with crispy chicken and the pad see-ew with beef. Both are very good and well made. Even though I was already full from the food, I couldn't stop eating the mango sticky rice dessert. The mango was just ripe and soft and the combination of the mango with the sticky rice was incredible. I don't know how to describe it..it's like mango and coconut exploding in my mouth. I could eat that all day! Basically, other than the thai iced tea being sweeter than expected, everything else was on point with the flavors. Thai Dish is cozy and simple. The staff is friendly and always smiling - we were given drinks with a paper wrapped flower on our straw! Best value at this place. Most dishes are priced around $9 and portions are good sized. Went on a Sunday afternoon and plenty of tables. Place run like a well oiled machine with the waitress coming with water after we sat down. Tom Yum Koong and Po Tak were essentially same soup base with just different meats and veggies. It didn't have the same sweetness/sour/hot balance I'd come to expect from a Thai restaurant so the soups were a little below average for me. The Thai Dish Scallops was very good and went well with the fragrant jasmine rice. The scallops themselves were of the average size most asian restaurants serve so don't expect the big dry scallops types at the fancier places. The brown sauce was very flavorful, although it didn't seem like there was enough and you might be tempted to ask for more but trust me, there is enough flavor in a spoonful that you can mix just a little and still be satisfied with the test. The Thai Iced Tea was on point with the delicious blend of sweet condensed milk and tea you'd come to expect from legit Thai restaurants. Overall, great meal and experience. Loved this place!! We all got the Pad Kee Mow, which was delicious and perfectly spicy. We are big drunken noodle fans and we will surely be back again!! This was my second time coming here and I'd definitely come back again! Theres plenty of metered parking around the building here. The B line also stops a 2 minute walk away. I was having trouble with using a gift card code online and they happily took my order for me. The food was prepped quickly. They also have loyalty stamp cards here! The food is very fair priced and the portions here are friendly. The appetizers are also nicely portioned and not overpriced! I loved the flavor of everything, the samosas were small, cute, and crunchy! The pad thai here is delicious, I loved that I was also able to add a crispy chicken on there! Thai Dish is a great neighborhood spot located right around the corner from BU's New Balance Field. The portions are huge and the dishes are super flavorful. They have a variety of items from curries to noodles, fried rice, and other Thai specials. I tried the Thai Dish Fried Rice with crispy chicken, Red Curry, Pad See-Ew, Mango Sticky Rice, and Thai Iced Tea. I would recommend all of these dishes! The Red Curry has a spicy kick to it which was delicious. I'm a huge fan of both mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea and they both hit the spot; 10/10. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I'd order again if I lived in the area. I believe they have tables now so that you can eat your take-out orders in-store if you want! I used to go to Thai Dish all the time during college, convenient location and I just love the drunken noodle chicken. I think Thai Dish makes the best one. It has a good amount of spice, and has nice thin soft wide noodles. It's unfortunate that the kenmore location is closed now, but the location on west campus is pretty nice too. The staff are super friendly and always remembered me every time I went there. I think it's a really low key environment, kind of like a hidden gem. Would definitely recommend it! read more

Veggie Fried dumplings were good, they had an unexpected texture which I didn't love though others liked it. But the main course was very tasty and the portions were a good size. Whoa! This place is always AMAZING! I have been to Thai Dish a few times in the past when I was in the area. Today I got a chance to hop around Boston so I decided to go down and grab some delicious dishes. Of course, they are crispy chicken Pad Thai and crispy duck in the red curry! Those are super duper good! You folks need to try them! I do highly recommended! Lol I realized there are slightly changes on the menus. It looks more modern, simple but easy to understand. For example, they have the symbols on each items on the menus which indicate to several options you can choose or ask the staff before placing orders. In addition, this restaurant is always known as "Allergy friendly restaurant" which means they mostly be able to accommodate most of your requests relate to the food concerns. The staffs are very attentive and knowledgeable. They even give me a 10% discount card to use it online when placing the orders or present it when picking up. THANK YOU! What else you can ask for? Go check them out guys this is absolutely hidden gem, great foods, friendly staffs, and reasonable prices. The foods comes out really fast with the super good quality too. Oh btw, they quality up the ingredients now as well. They are using the homemade curry paste for the curries which is different from the others. That's why my duck curry is out of the world. This place man, let me tell ya. This place is a small "hole-in-the-wall" joint. If you're driving by and you blink, ya just missed it. I've been passing this place for two years now on my way to buy cigarettes and I never noticed it. Then one day, I noticed it. I was confused. Had it always been there? I had already eaten chicken fingers at Cane's down the street, which is also pretty good for a fast food chicken joint but I'm not reviewing Cane's here. I'm reviewing Thai Dish. So anyway, I never really ate there. I just don't really eat Thai food. It's not so much that I don't like Thai food, more that I'm just unfamiliar with it, and I don't really know anyone familiar with it to show me what to get, so I just never eat it. I typically stick to what I know(chicken fingers, for example). Well anyway today I'm walking back to work with my cigarettes, and I'm hungry so I decide on a whim to try Thai DIsh; the little building attached to a giant brutalist apartment complex that I walked by for years without ever noticing. Let me tell you something folks...best decision I've made, food-wise, in a long time. I walk in, they got the menu taped up to the sneeze guard(as of this writing, we are one year into the Covid pandemic in the U.S.). I panic, I don't know shit about Thai food, I don't know what's good, what aint, what I like or what I wont. But here's the thing...The menu is set up like a Thai food for uncultured idiots(Me being the uncultured idiot). It's easy; you just pick your noodles, your protein, and that's it. There was some other shit but I figured let's keep it simple since we're new here. So I order Pad Thai with chicken. I'd heard of Pad Thai. I didn't know much about it, but since I'd at least heard about it, it was probably my safest bet. And chicken because, well, chicken is good. The nice person told me it'd be ready in five minutes, and it was! The food itself was amazing. A bit of Crunch, thin noodles that had some character to them. all in all, it was delicious. So yeah, you could say I know a thing or two about Thai food now. But only from Thai dish, which is the only Thai place I'll be going from now on, not just because I'm familiar enough with it to be comfortable(I rarely leave my comfort zone, that's why I eat chicken fingers at 27 years old), but also because I'm convinced this is the best Thai joint around. Thai Dish is a quick and convenient place for Thai food if you live in the area. It's a small place with the normal Thai food options. I ordered a Pad Kee Mao, which are flat rice noodles with some chili. It wasn't really spicy, and I was expecting some more spice. I also ordered the chicken version, but they gave me the shrimp version and charged me 3 extra dollars. This may have been miscommunication, but I was still disappointed. Prices are alright-average for Thai food. Mediocre, but convenient place if you live in the area. read more

Ordered the pad see ew and red curry, both with duck. The pad see ew was extremely salty and did not taste good. Duck in both dishes had a very weird taste (like they were frozen for too long in a fridge that smells bad). Curry was ok, but don't get the duck. They had no water cups and we have to buy their bottled water. But the person working at the register was extremely friendly and welcoming.
