10. Crab Rangoon
Rashad A.

Simply solid Chinese takeout. Big servings and the quality is pretty good. The crab rangoon is outstanding

Pork fried rice, chicken wings and beef teriyaki combo. Very oddly seasoned
Rebecca S.

I ordered two items for delivery. Sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll and a sample with beef teriyaki, chicken wings, egg roll and fried rice. I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with the food; there also just wasn't anything right with it. The chicken wings and beef teriyaki had a strange seasoning to them and no sauce. At the least youd expect the beef to have ...teriyaki sauce on it, but no. It was well cooked though. Fried rice was bland and egg roll was just weird.

Hair

THERE WERE THREE HAIRS IN MY FOOD!! Someone first mentioned this restaurant to me when I moved to the area so I have been coming here for years. Very disappointed to find hair in my food and not have the restaurant offer to redo it. They will certainly no longer be getting my business.

Tofu and veggie stir fry. Missing some of the tofu and green peppers - sorry!
Gwen F.

Hmm. A couple things are strongly in Asia Wok's favor. For one, they showed up within a half hour (which is pretty gosh darn spiffy). The food we ordered was wonderfully hot when it hit our table, and the delivery guy was even nice enough to present us with an Asia Wok wall scroll (featuring a calendar! pandas!) upon receipt of our food. I can't comment on the other food, but I ordered stir fried tofu and veggies, with a side of scallion pancakes. The latter were gorgeous and delicious. Fluffy-ish, hot, and greasetastic, I could easily see myself scarfing them down (with a doctor's note of approval, of course - I'm trying to watch my bad food intake). The tofu dish was...interesting. First off, they were very, very generous with the portion of tofu - I had to wonder if they used an entire pack (not a bad thing!) and the stuff was grilled nicely. The veggies seemed to consist of green peppers and cabbage. The former tasted very fresh and were a joy. The latter? Well, cabbage drowned in sauce kind of scares me. It's like looking into Mordor's murky pits for a Volkswagen - you're not really sure what's in there, and you're not positive the prize at the bottom of its depths is worth it. Because, well, *come on.* Yeah, the sauce was too sweet for me. I've tried. I really have. I just don't like sugary things (yeah, even chocolate). I know I have a kind of intolerance to sweetness, and a lot of Asian food consists of sweet glazes, so I can't say that my impression is one that will echo with those who don't mind a little sugar or molasses. The rest of you may really dig this stuff. I have to bow to the fact that I may have certain flavor prejudices that color my impression of my meal. What can I say? I prefer salt. It's not bad. It may even be good. I think. Delivery is awesome, though. I'd recommend giving Asia Wok a try.

Really exciting place focused on Northwest Chinese cuisine…read more The signature dish, the hand-pulled beef noodle soup, had a fairly light, but subtle, flavor. The noodles themselves I wish were chewier (got the 'flat' but probably should have gone for 'extra wide'), and perhaps it'd been nice to have some different textures inside the soup (e.g. something crunchy). The scallions in the soup were also too wide, and needed to be sliced more thinly. The beef pancake was quite decent, though the edges didn't have enough beef and the middles had too much beef. The beef was tender, though I might have liked it more flaky. The sauce inside the pancake was somewhat unevenly applied, and a bit too sweet. I wonder if a dipping sauce (maybe a vinegar?) would have helped. The blueberry with mashed yams was fascinating. It was listed under appetizers, and wondered why the dish came out last. But the dish was a bit sweet (naturally!) and so it actually worked as a light modest dessert! The wait staff was spot on after all in putting out the dish last. The stir-fried cabbage dish was beautiful! It was appropriately crunch, yet using good wok hey. The salt level was a bit high, but the spice level was good. Their spice ratings were a bit timid to what I encounter in Szechuan restaurants (the 'regular' level seemed to be more 'mild-regular'). The stir-fried cumin potato was delicious; nicely flavored, nicely charred. Some bits were a bit oily but the cook on the potato was really neat. Will revisit!!!

We've ordered several of their noodle soups and noodle dishes with regular, thick, and wide noodles that have been fine but not great. I think the textures of their noodles across the board have been too soft, not chewy enough. We've tried some of their other dishes, which have been better: my fav is the cold okra appetizer. Also, the potato balls in the beef brisket with potato are a sleeper hit. Unfortunately, the dish was mostly beef and not potato haha unusual gripe. Service is normal, efficient, on the attentive side for a chinese place. Interior is nice and new and clean. After our second try, I'm not super pressed to come back, but if we're in the area, I might try some of their other non-noodle dishes!

Each of the times I remembered were tasty. The ambiance when you arrive is dramatic Chinese music in the background which makes it somewhat difficult to converse with your group. Most recently we arrived with a group of 8 for our 7:30 pm reservation without any issues. All the other tables were full but we noticed the restaurant cleared out after an hour of us being there past the peak hours. They gave us 2 containers of the standalone spicy powder so people could add on as they wanted and the less spice tolerant in our group weren't saddled with the consequences. I tried the following dishes: Lamb & Beef Kebabs - 3 sticks per order I preferred the beef texture and taste over the lamb. BBQ Lamb Ribs - they said this was the only dish that came default spicy but I didn't think it was that spicy. the smoking in the raised wooden container gave it additional flavor. I preferred lamb ribs over the kebabs. Torched Beef - one of the favorites for our table the sauce with it was also super tasty. Big Squid - challenging to cut but they give a lot of pieces and generous portion with a special sauce. Grandma's juicy pork buns - on the small side, topped with black sesame and sauce you can add on the side. it was juicy as advertised. Cucumber salad - refreshing and included peanuts for texture and flavor. Fried tofu - not too memorable but the fried texture was tasty. Bok choy - I enjoyed the sauce spread across this veggie dish. Shiitake & King Oyster Mushroom - these are 2 separate orders but I can't remember which was the skewer and which was on a regular plate. Both were overall tasty. Cauliflower - Another solid veggie option but nothing too memorable if you want to focus mainly on protein. BBQ Bread slice - one of the inauthentic cuisines and it's like French toast Kaoijiu dragon yogurt- I was expecting more dragon fruit flavor so that was a bit disappointing but it still tasted good overall. I am not sure it's worth the $10 dessert price. Overall solid food options and we didn't have any leftovers so it ended up being ~$40-60 per person depending if people also ordered drink/dessert. Worth checking out if you haven't had a chance to before they are gone forever!

5 for food 2 for service…read more We love the NYC version of this restaurant, and were excited to visit the Boston spot for mouth numbing dishes. Starting with an iPad menu, our ordering experience with our waiter was subpar. We ended up with extra things ordered that weren't part of our initial order. In good news the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fire and the waiter poured 5 glasses of water for 3 of us. So we could cool down without needing to flag him down. With the only non-Asian waiter in the restaurant, he struggled with basic elements of service. Inattentive. Requests went unmet (lemons for water). We sat for more than 15 mins after asking to box up leftovers and to close our check. This was all a little embarrassing, as we brought my boyfriend's father. After singing praises of the NYC spot, this was a disappointment.

The food is consistently savory, flavorful, and downright delicious. Honestly, everything here is good. Parking can be tough, but it's absolutely worth it. The service is consistently great--everyone is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The restaurant is also clean, which always makes the experience even better. I enjoyed all the dishes but the half house chicken and eel clay pot rice have got to be my favorites. I liked the stir-fried string beans as well but found it a bit saltier than I was used to and the seafood w tofu felt very saucy thought still pretty good. Our server recommended that we order one more when we had only ordered three initially without the seafood w tofu because she said everything was one serving size. However, I think we could have done without the fourth dish. Overall, it was a little pricier than claypot in Quincy or other predominantly asian places but I enjoyed my experience and would come back if chance comes up.
